Chapter 14

Jane felt red all over, she wished the ground could just open up and swallow her right now, and what does she mean they were both adults, ' I hope she's not thinking anything in that head of hers ' Jane thought to herself and quickly rushed to the door she opened it and was about to dash out when Zain stopped her "you are leaving?" Zain said almost wanting to cry "yes I have to, we were done talking anyways, I still have a lot to do at home, I will see you around bye" Jane said without even looking at him or Juliet, she was sure she said those words in less than thirty seconds, she just needs to get out of Zain's room immediately, she left the room to look for Chris, after all he was the main reason she came here, she got to the living room and saw him and John sleeping peacefully on the couch, she carefully carried him so as not to wake him or John up, they must have been exhausted from all the playing, she thought to herself, she moved closed to the door, opened it and left, she sighed silently in relief she didn't know she was holding her breath up until now, she felt somewhat free, "why was everything just so suffocating and embarrassing in there" she muttered to herself ' how strange ' she thought to herself.

"why did you come in like that?" Zain asked his sister he suddenly wanted to kill someone right now he just can't believe she came in on him and spoilt his first moment with Jane "now you've scared her off are you happy now?" Zain spoke again "I already said am sorry, I didn't mean to barge on you both, I honestly didn't know she was here, stop being a angry bird" Juliet said half smiling, she doesn't understand what the fuss is all about "just tell her that you like her, don't take it out on me" Juliet said again, this time her words were sarcastic. Zain let out a groan, he really wanted to punch something, he collapsed on his bed, grabbed his pillow, placed it on his face and groaned even harder, seeing his reaction, Juliet burst into laughter, she just couldn't stop herself from laughing, what in the world is wrong with her brother, she thought to herself, upon hearing her laugh, Zain threw the pillow at her, he was obviously fuming with anger "leave my room Juliet I want to be alone" Zain shouted at her "you want me to leave, I can't believe you are chasing me out of your room because of a girl, seriously" Juliet said placing her hand on her chest pretending to be sad "Juliet stop fooling around and just leave me alone, and I mean it , I don't want to be disturbed" Zain said in between his teeth "but I haven't even told you the reason I am here in the first place" Juliet interjected "well you should have thought about that before badging into my room" Zain said he was still obviously angry "I already I was sorry and I didn't badge intentionally, I don't understand what the fuss is all about" Juliet was getting angry too "just leave" Zain barked at her "fine" Juliet answered her left the room and banged the door behind her "what is wrong with him, I apologized after all, now who will help me with the washing machine?, now I have to wait for Harrison to come back home urrgh" Juliet muttered silently to herself.

Jane got inside the house with Chris in her hands and realized Mrs Whitney was back, ' did I really take that long ' she asked herself, she moved to Chris's bedroom, it was the second bedroom on the right it was directly next to hers, Mrs Whitney house might not be the kind of luxurious house that she had dreamed of but it was quite spacious, everyone has a room to themselves, Mrs Whitney's husband must have plan to have a large family, too bad he died pretty early, she opened the door to Chris's room, walked over to his bed and gently placed him on the bed so as not to wake him up, Chris had added some more weight, she thought to herself, she didn't realize that until she placed him down just now, she sat down beside her son and caressed his face, he's the most handsome and smart child that she has ever seen, this was her reason for living, she flashed back to the past, even though she had conceived him out of her own will, and she conceived him in the worst way possible, she was still grateful she had him and he has never given her a reason to regret it, he was her joy.

Jane was lost in thought and didn't realize Mrs Whitney was right beside her, Mrs Whitney tapped her shoulders and she jolted back to reality "dear what's wrong why are you crying?" Mrs Whitney asked her "am crying?" she didn't realize she was crying actually, she placed her hands on her face and quickly wiped the tears, she has always being a strong girl but she just feels so weak right now like she jus couldn't take it anymore, she buried her head on Mrs Whitney's laps and cried for almost 20 minutes.

Mrs Whitney just sat there and allowed her cry out her sorrow, she was really sad for this child she felt there was something she could do to take away her pain and make her feel better, she felt deep sorrow in her heart for her, "it's okay child please don't wear yourself out" Mrs Whitney said almost crying as well, but she know she couldn't, she needs to remain strong for her and for Chris as well, "it's okay stop crying" she said again patting her back gently and stroking her hair, after another ten minutes, Mrs Whitney brought her head to face her and gently wiped her tears away, "it's okay, please don't cry anymore it's breaking my heart"
