In Love With Mr Adrian

Excerpt "Part your legs" he told her with an expressionless face, as if what he said was no big deal. Hazel on the other hand, blinked once, twice and thrice as if she hadn't heard him correctly. What did he say? I should part my legs?! For what reason? Did I even hear him right?, she asked herself internally. It still sounded ridiculous to her ears. How could he tell her to part her legs? Him of all people? "Part your legs for me, Hazel" his voice sounded again which made her to look at him with wide eyes. Indeed! She heard him right! "Sir......Sir I can't pa-" Hazel said but was interrupted by the man who said "Shh......I don't want to hear any of it Hazel. Be a good girl and part your legs so that I can locate the injury, alright?" What injury is he talking about? I'm not injured at all, she thought Hazel did not know what injury he was talking about because as far as she knew, she was not injured and especially not down there. As she kept on pondering about where he got the idea that she was injured, she felt a palm suddenly on her exposed thigh. Her eyes immediately stretched wider and met his gaze. "Sir.....wh..... wha-" Hazel was again interrupted by the man who placed his thumb on her lips to silence her. Bringing his face closer to hers, he said, "If you won't part your legs for me, I'll part them myself " after saying that, he bent his head, ready to part her thigh when a knock was heard on the door.

Can't talk to father

Hazel didn't know what to say or do. It is was really surprising that her father came back home at this time of the day. And the most shocking thing was that, her mother of all people was suggesting that she should meet her father.

Hazel stood in her position, frozen. Which made her mother to slightly get worried. Her husband was a very sensitive topic for her daughter and that was why she wanted to bring them together. But her daughter was unwilling. After watching her daughter stand there without the intention of moving to meet her father, she decided to talk again.

"Hazel dear, won't you see your father?"

Her mother's voice pulled her out of her thoughts. She was still battling herself inside on how she would meet and talk to her father but she found it impossible. As she kept on dwelling about her father, she felt her mother's hand on her shoulder which made her to look at her mother.

Her mother smiled encouragingly at her daughter before saying,

"I know it's hard for you but, try and talk to your father, okay? Your father loves you so much that it pains him seeing his daughter distancing herself from him."

If it was true, why did he always hurt her? Why? If what her mother told her now was true, why did he always act as if he repulsed her?

Hazel kept on pondering about what her mother told her and found it really impossible to believe. She wasn't implying that her mother was lying. It was just that...

"Hazel, don't think too much about it okay?" her mother said, interrupting her thoughts.

If she were to meet her father, which conversation would they have? What would she tell her father if she sees him? When they usually don't talk, how would she start up a conversation? She did not even know what to say.

"No mom. I can't talk to him. No I can't" Hazel said while shaking her head.

Her mother stared at her, understanding the girl. Of course it would be difficult to talk to a person who acts as if the person despises you. Her mother stared at Hazel for some time before she eventually gave in to what she told her.

"Alright, since you are not willing to talk to him now, when will you ever talk to your father?. Hmmm.....Tell me".her mother probed.

"I.....I don't know. But I'll do it in the near future"

"That's what you told me last time" her mother told her while folding her hands.

Hazel remembered that. She had promised her mother that she would talk to her dad after three weeks, as to muster courage and gather conversations. But the three weeks came without her doing anything. She even forgot about it until her mother reminded her about it.

"Mom, that was last time. I promise to do it this time. Just give me time to get used to seeing his face first" she said before going to the bed and sitting down there.

Hazel's mother sat on the bed with her daughter. Bringing her hand forward, she placed it on Hazel's shoulder before saying,

"Alright, I heard you. I won't persuade you to talk to your father if you don't want to. You will go on your own accord"

"Okay mom"

Hazel's mother smiled before standing up to leave. After her mother left, Hazel let out a sign. What should she do? She could not fight with her father. They would somehow reconcile. Even if it wasn't now, she knew they both would.

. . . . . .

Hazel woke up to the sound of her alarm clock. She lazily hit the alarm clock with the aim to turn it off but it did not turn off. Hazel gave up and and sat up on the bed. Sleepiness still evident on her face.

After rubbing her eyes for some time now, she stood up and went straight to the bathroom to brush her teeth. Immediately she was done brushing her teeth, Hazel went to the bathroom and had her bath. She did not wait for her maids to prepare the bath for her. She had asked her mother previously if she could prepare her bath by herself but her mother rejected it. Telling her that it was not what she was supposed to do.

Hazel went to her cupboard and brought out her uniform which was already prepared and wore it. After wearing it, she went downstairs knowing full well that her breakfast was already prepared.
