IN PALM SPRING

His hands slid down my body. His entire form is moving down her figure, disappearing as he shifts downward, and suddenly, his chest is hovering above her hips; suddenly, I can't see him anymore. She can only make out the top of his head, the curve of his shoulders, the unsteady rise and fall of his back as he inhales, exhales. He's running his hands down and around her bare thighs, up and up again, up past her ribs, around her lower back and down again, just past her hip bone. His fingers hooked around the elastic waist of her underwear and she gasped. His lips touched her bare stomach.

It's just a whisper of a kiss but something collapses in her skull. It's a feather-light brush of his mouth against my skin in a place she can't quite see. It's her mind speaking in a thousand different languages she doesn't understand. And she realizes he was working his way up my body. He's leaving a trail of fire along her torso, one kiss after another, and I really don't think I can take much more of this; she really doesn't think she will be able to survive this. There's a whimper building in her throat, begging him to break free, and I'm locking her fingers in his hair and I'm pulling him up, onto her, on top of her.

Suddenly, the door opened and Hayden emerged through the door and turned on the lights of the room.

" You will never change, Chad."

Chad stared at Hayden's face, in a flabbergasted state. He wasn't expecting Hayden to be there.

"You get out of this room, take your clothes."

Hayden picked up the clothes from the floor and tossed them towards the girl who was lying naked in bed with Chad. She sprint towards the bathroom.

" What are you doing in my house, Hayden?

Hayden took a pause and told Chad to put something on and then they would talk.

Chad snatched the t-shirt from the floor, put on the t-shirt and cruised, he told Hayden to talk outside and they both cruised out of Chad's bedroom and stood outside of the bedroom corridor.

" Will you tell me now? What is going on?

" Father wants to see you, spoiled kid. "

" Father wants to meet me?? I didn't do anything wrong."

" That's the problem, you don't do anything bad. You didn't want to meet us, the only time you wanted to meet us was when you needed an expensive vacation trip to Bali with your friends or you needed an expensive yacht and the list goes on."

" Well, that's because you and father were taking care of everything. I don't need to do anything. I'm enjoying my life, having fun. What is wrong with it?

" Well, bare with me, with this news that Father is taking retirement from the company. "

Serena was practicing for the state competition for ballet at the Ballerina's Ballroom school which her mother owns.

One plié, two arabesques, and three turns.The pressure on her toes and the soft ballet shoes against her feet. The sweat is pouring off of my forehead and her hair is tied up in a neat tight bun. The ballet instructor comes to adjust her posture and tells her to continue. Serena's leotard is tight against her body as she continues to dance to the soft, smooth andante rhythm of classical music. The music stops as the instructor tells her to stop, she can show me a new move. The move is called assemblè in allegro, which is a jump which is launched from one foot and landes on both feet, where the first foot performs battement glissè, or swishing out. Then once the dancer launches into a jump, the second foot then swishes up under the first foot, the feet meet together in mid air, and then the dancer lands with both feet on the floor at the same time in third position. Serena does the movie smoothly and precisely and lands it perfectly. The ballet instructor applauded her wondrous accomplishment. She bowed to say thank you and smiled. She sits cross-legged on the ground to stretch her feet out so they don't cramp up. She started by stretching her left arm to her right foot. Then she stretched her right arm to her left foot. Then she took a stretchy band and wrapped the band around her foot. She pulled the band back with both hands and pushed her foot toward the ground. She does this with both feet and stops.

" Serena, where is Darrick? her instructor asked Serena.

" Miss Luan, I called Darrick but he wasn't picking up my call. Maybe he won't come today."

" Serena, you are taking everything lightly that you shouldn't have. The competition is just four months away."

" I know, Miss Luan, I'll call him. Just give me a moment. "

Luan was over from class for today and Serena was mad at Derrick because he was being careless about it. She removed her ballet shoes and walked out of the class, feeling frustrated because everything depended on winning this competition.

She walked through the locker room and sat down on the bench, against the wall. She sat down there for a while to relax. She put her clothes off and as she was picking her clothes from the bag. Tina rushed through the dressing room door, looking for Serena. Serena was standing butt naked and absolutely frightened by seeing Tina.

" What are you doing? Serena asks her friend Tina in a state of frightening.

" You are naked!!!

" I know, just go out and let me put on some clothes. "

" I am not into girls and you know that, so, don't worry about that and forget about it. I have bad news for you. "

" What bad news? she asked Tina, and hoping that it wouldn't be related to her mother.

" I don't know how to tell you that? but... she took a pause.

" Don't tell me, something happened to mother. "

" Of course, not aunty is alright and she is at home and trust me it's a worst then that."

" Just spit out, don't give me anxiety Tina! She quickly put her clothes on.

" Okay, I'm telling you just quite for a moment. Derrick got into an accident and he broke his arm. "

" WHAT?? Serena had all of her hope to save her school was shattered to pieces.

" It's true, I'm sorry, I just came from the hospital and he can't dance with you . "

" Oh no, this can't be real!! Please tell me this can't be real... what do we do? the competition is just at the door and Derrick's arm is broken. "

" Don't worry, we will figure out something, just stay calm and let me think something out.We can find someone else. "

An image flashed across her face of her being convinced Derrick to do ballet with her.

Flash Back

" LET ME GO!!! YOU BOTH ARE CRAZY!! I'M NOT DOING BALLETS. WHAT will I SAY? I WILL NEVER SHOW MY FACE AGAIN TO ANYONE"

" What?? We are not doing your rape and why can't you do ballet? Look, it's the way to save my school and I'm your friend and I need your help. " Serena said to Derrick, begging him to say yes to her ballet partner.

" NO!! IT'S MY FINAL ANSWER AND NOW UNLOCK THE ROOM AND LET ME GO!!

Tina took her place to convince Derrick, but no way was Derrick listening to them. Serena stood beside the side table and she had been convincing Derrick for the past two hours and she glanced over to her sister's pet tarantula who was caged in the glass box, sitting on the table and she remembered Kate had told her to feed her tarantula had Serena thought something else for it and an evil plan came in her mind. She took the tarantula in her hand carefully and placed it on Derrick's shoulder without him knowing.

" Don't move Derrick! Serena warned him

" Why? he replied.

" Don't look back or breathe, "

Derrick looked at his shoulder and he turned pale when he saw the tarantula on his shoulder.

" GET OFF IT!! He scream

" I will not because you are not helping me. Then why would I?

" PLEASE!!!!!!!! HELP ME OUT! I SWEAR I WILL HELP YOU"

" Promise me, you will help me."

"I SWEAR!!!GOD PROMISE! TAKE IT OUT FROM ME!!!

PRESENT

" What will you figure out? Don't you remember how we convinced Derrick, almost giving him a stroke, and this time we didn't have a Kate pet tarantula. She sold it on eBay for 20 bucks. "

" What are you talking about? We don't need a tarantula this time. All we need is Ray. "

" You mean sunrays??

" No!! You stupid, we need your friend Ray Winslow. He could help us. He owns a freaking newspaper. He can print an AD in his newspaper for a ballet dancer. What do you say?

" It is the worst idea I have ever heard. I can't use him for my help. "

" Really, if you have a better option,then tell me. "

Serena thought for a second but no better idea came into her mind, except about going with Tina's option and she looked at Tina, hopelessly, and told her that she was going with her option. She took out her mobile from her pocket and dialed Ray's number.

Palm springs

Chad was going to the assistant desk of his father's office because his father wanted to talk to him. He paused in front of the desk and looked at Julia who was on call. Chad leaned his elbow on the desk and said.

" Good morning, Julia. You look extra hot today."

She placed the phone receiver back on the device.

" Thank you Mr... Chad placed his finger on Julia's lips.

" Shhhh...Call me chad, I would love to hear my name from your soft, juicy lips. "

" Really, Chad, how would I help you, Chad?

Chad rubbed his finger on her lips and said, " You can help me in many ways. For example, your number or your address. "

" Chad, I would love to share my number with you but your father strictly prohibited us from exchanging numbers in the office. I can't risk my job "

" I'll tell you something soon. I'll be the boss of this company, then there will be no rules and then you don't need to be afraid of my Hitler's father and now tell me where my Hitler is?

Julia's facial expressions changed in a split second and she became terrified of something.

" What happened to you? Just tell me where my father is?

" Ch.... chaaa... I mean Mr Chad, he is behind you. "

Chad thought Julia was just messing with him and she didn't believe her.

" Stop joking with me Julia. Look, I don't have time for playing games. "

" She is not lying, Son", Chad's father, Mr Kent, miller said from behind. Chad flinched and turned his head. Through the look on his father's face he knew he was in big trouble.

The next thing, he knew he was sitting in his father's office and he had already given him an hour-long lecture and just keeping going, non-stop. Chad's brain was already fried. He started spinning the paper weight with his finger. Kent looked at Chad who was playing it and he became more furious. He snatched the paper weight out of his hand.

" Chad, stop playing with it!!! are you listening to me? " Kent said furiously.

" Yes, father, I have been listening to you for the past an hour, and what do you want me to do?

" I want you to be responsible and run this company, son. I want to enjoy the rest of my life with your mother. I work day to night every single day for this company. I'm tired and exhausted. I need a retirement. " his father said to him emotionally.

Chad got up from his seat and stood in front of his father and said, " I can understand that father and I'm ready to run this company. "

" I don't see it in you that you are worthy enough to run this empire alone. "

" Why? Father, you have to trust me. "

" Well, you have to prove that you are worthy of this company. "

" And how am I gonna do that?

Chad's father walked around the table and opened his drawer and took out a plane ticket.

" You are going to Ontario where you will meet with Franklin, who will tell you everything?

" So, everything was preplanned . "

His father handed him the ticket and told him to make himself worthy of this company. Chad thought he would do everything to prove that he could run this company, no matter what would happen.
