3 A duet with V

I peeked my head out to see the crowd. I saw Yuki there with an empty spot beside her. I somehow found my way to her side in the crowd. By the time I got there, the concert is just beginning. They sang a few of their songs and after the last one, I could tell that V had spotted me in the front row. He walked over to the edge of the stage where I was at and offered his hand to me so I could climb onstage. I looked over at Yuki who gave me an encouraging nod. I took his hand and climbed onto the stage.

V: hello! What's your name?

Eunji : Eunji

V: do you know any of our songs by heart?

Eunji : I know Jin's part to definitely you?

V: will you sing it with me?

Eunji : Like right now? On stage? With you?!

The crowd started chanting my name and I knew I had to do it.

Eunji : Fine. I'll sing

Jin handed me a microphone and I gave him a smile as a thank you. The crowd cheered and the music started playing. After V sang his part I sang mine.

I can't let go

Our voices sounded very nice together. We nailed every lyric. After the song was over everyone cheered. I'm glad they liked it, it's was my favorite song. V gave me a smile when we finished signaling that I had done a good job. The other members seemed to be pleased as well. I gave them all a smile and faced the cheering crowd, giving them a bow. I gave the microphone back to Jin and I walked to the edge of the stage where Yuki was. V offered his hand as I tried to get down. I took his hand and jumped down forgetting about my hurt ankle. I landed on it and immediately began to fall. V, who was still holding my hand, tightened his grip and held me upright. I regained my balance and thanked him. He walked back over to the middle of the stage.

V: Wasn't that a great performance?!

The crowd cheered. He then wrapped up the concert by thanking us all and they left. I parted ways with Yuki at the gate and headed for the back door that I used to get in. I knocked and a staff member opened the door.

Staff: May I help you?

Eunji: V said I should wait in here after the concert.

Staff: I'm sorry ma'am but-

She was cut off by V.

V: There you are! You can let her in, it's alright.

The staff member shrugged and walked away. I walked inside and sat down. V was already out of his stage clothes and makeup. He sat next to me, exhausted.

V: you sing very well

Eunji: Thanks, I've been singing since I was a kid.

V: do you want me to take you home?

Eunji: that would be nice, if possible.

V: it's fine, I'm already changed and everything. Follow me.

He led me outside, to a car. He unlocked it and we both got inside. I gave him directions to my house and in 15 minutes we were there. I got out and thanked him.

He gave me a smile in return and we parted ways.

That night I got an email from BigHit saying I got the job and that I would be starting tomorrow morning.
