Chapter 18- Remember That you are a Dragon

Simon was wearing an outfit with 1 red star and 5 White stars. He was also wearing a mask. Not just him, Cale and Choi Han were also wearing the same outfit.

The cats meowed. They left the room through the window. Simon looked at Cale and Choi Han. Cale was smiling and Choi Han looked like he was thinking.

Cale opened his mouth.

"These cats are beast people. Simon is a puppeteer."

Choi Han looked at the cats and Simon simultaneously.

"He is Choi Han. This is On and Hong and This is Simon. That's the end of the introduction. Get ready."

Everyone then started heading towards the mountain with the black dragon chained inside.

-Cale POV-

'I hadn't expected the cats to put the Mana distortion tool here.'

The cats buried the device around 50m away from the cave that has the black dragon. Plus, The way they hid it made it almost impossible to be located.

Seeing this I couldn't help but compliment these kids. They were indeed the Cat people. They picked the best way to hide the orb.

After looking around for a bit, I told them.

"Let me explain one more time. There is one high-leveled knight and two mid-leveled knights at the cave entrance, as well as two soldiers. Inside the cave, there is just one high-leveled knight, and the torturer is at the end of the cave."

Choi Han flinched at the word 'Torturer'. But I kept speaking.

"... There might be some extra people here and there. Be careful that you don't get discovered."

In the original BoAH, there were around 100 people at first but It declined to 30 after four years. There shouldn't be any more people but The Shield too shouldn't have been targeted by 'Arm'. However, We were still attacked.

'Does not hurt to be cautious.'

After gathering my thoughts, I told them.

"The Mana distortion tool will render all magic devices useless for 40 minutes. So, In that Villa and Cave, No magic device will work including magic traps, alarms, etc"

All of them nodded as I turned to Choi Han.

"Take care of them. Don't kill anyone and don't show them your sword art."

Choi Han nodded and looked at me as he asked.

"So, I am doing the fighting. What about Simon?"

I was about to reply but Simon spoke first.

"I will be taking care of anybody that is inside the cave."

Choi Han seemed to be satisfied with that answer. I am sure this punk was lying. I clearly told him that nobody would be inside the cave except for the dragon and the torturer.

'Well, doesn't hurt to have him. He isn't good at stealth anyways and Puppets are the most useful in a Cave. It can be used in many ways ranging from attacking to defending.'

We then split up. Or, Choi Han went ahead and attacked the guards. He first attacked the mid-leveled Knight while showing off his outfit.

He was just knocking them out.

'Perfect'

A brrrrrrrrr sound came from near my legs. It was the Mana distortion tool. The cats covered their fur in charcoal, disappearing in the darkness.

Simon and I started to walk. The fog started covering us both. As we were walking, The high-leveled Knight came outside. I immediately shouted using a Voice changer.

"Poison"

The fog spread out and as the enemies began to fall. Hong paralyzed them. The people inside of Cave rushed out with weapons.

I spoke in a calm voice.

"We will leave this up to you."

Choi Han heard me as he started to beat the enemies. As he was beating them, Simon and I entered the cave.

After walking for a few moments, We arrived at the end of the cave to see three people. One was the torturer and the others are probably guards.

'So the number of guards is still higher. Damn it.'

-Narrator's POV-

Simon and Cale looked at the torturer that was panicking. This was different from their respective novels. But they were experienced now.

Simon and Cale were both smart. They knew that the plot of their respective novels might have been messed up.

After the fight at the Shield AP's location. They were expecting a similar situation. Simon opened his mouth first as he said in a low voice.

"I will take care of them. Create a distraction."

Cale nodded. They could use On and Hong, but let's be honest. Simon wouldn't let some children fight. He was not being a simp.

Cale was also not heartless. All he needed to do was just bluff and distract the enemies. That bet seemed much better than letting people under your wings die.

Cale, no Kim Rok Soo always felt responsible for people under him. He might have been rear support and a strategist but he never hesitated to run straight towards the enemies to save his teammates.

No, He was not being a tsundere. Definitely not.

Cale opened his mouth as he spoke.

" Listen here, I don't want any mindless killing. Kneel right now and I will let you all out of this alive."

Cale then started speaking continuously. He was using words that made him seem arrogant and the opponents weak. He was deliberately taunting the enemies.

Luck might have been on his side because the guards fell for it.

'What idiots? They fell for the provocation so easily' was Simon's thought as he looked at the charging guards.

The torturer was at the back showing confidence in these knights. Cale and Simon could see traces of Aura smoke in their blades.

This meant that these two were beginner high-leveled knights.

Simon smirked. He was really lucky. He was lucky that the opponents were beginners at using Aura smoke and absolute morons.

They were rushing towards Cale, who gave an 'I gave you a chance.' line.

Cale immediately moved backward and behind Simon. Simon looked at these idiots running at him and said.

"So, You have chosen death."

As soon as he said that 5 figures jumped at the two. The figures smashed into the knights who were caught by surprise.

They quickly started to fight back and hit the figures. However, It didn't affect the figures much. It was a sudden counter-attack So, It didn't affect the figures much.

But the next moment light flashed into their eyes. They immediately averted their gaze but more figures jumped at them.

The knights fell. They were now being punched, pushed, and pressed by at least 10 bodies. They also felt that these figures were not reacting to their attack.

Their eyes were back again. But the next thing they heard was a meow as they felt drowsy. Finally falling asleep.

The torturer looked at the falling knights with horror. From his perspective, the 10 figures jumped at the Knights and soon the knights fell.

He thought both of them were dead. He started sweating and panicking. He shouted with a 'Do not come near me.'

Simon looked at the torturer as he said.

"I can't beat the sh*t out of you If I don't come close."

The torturer panicked at such words. He backed down before falling to the ground. He also was paralyzed.

Simon and Cale didn't let On & Hong fight but they could use the fog and the poison. As long as the kids were safe, It was fine.

Cale sighed as the cats appeared beside him. Simon was near the torturer. They went towards Simon.

As for Simon, He was happy with how the battle ended. He had thrown the puppets on the grounds as Cale was distracting others. He did it silently.

He also had made good use of his free time yesterday. In his room, He made something similar to a flashlight. He wanted to use it as a surprise card to distract his enemies.

He had a few flashlights that he could use. Of course, their quality, usability, comfortableness, and distance being low but the light was really bright.

Cale and the cats approached Simon. Cale was slightly curious about the flashlight but decided to let it go. Why?

To repay Simon. Simon had kept a secret of the things he needed to keep a secret. That's why he needed to keep Simon's secret too. Everyone has their own cards.

Also, He was not the type to be extremely curious about others.

Cale went towards the lying torturer. He grabbed the key and went towards the cage.

Once he arrived, he could see a curled-up black existence inside this now-useless magic prison. It was the dragon.

Cale quickly approached the prison.

The dragon continued to keep its eyes closed, even as Cale approached. The dragon was probably in a state of chaos right now.

Cale put the key into the lock and opened the door.

*Click* It unlocked with a light noise. Cale slowly opened the iron gate and entered the prison.

It was pretty large to be called a prison. There were whips and other torture tools, as well as the luxurious couch that Venion sat on to watch. Cale headed to the corner of the prison.

A small figure about 1 meter long was laying on a stack of hay in the corner. The inner eyelids of the dragon were shaking as it laid there with its eyes closed. There were chains on all of its limbs, and the mana restriction chain was on its neck, making it unable to use any strength.

"Hey."

Cale crouched in front of the dragon. The dragon did not open its eyes even after Cale called out to it. It was time to leave. He continued to speak to the dragon.

"Let's leave."

He looked at the baby dragon's eyes. Even with that bruised body, The dragon had a strong gaze. A gaze with the will to live.

Cale smiled. These were not the eyes of a dragon who was on the verge of despair. Who was about to go insane.

He carried the dragon and walked outside. Choi Han had arrived back. Both Choi Han and Simon looked at the dragon.

He moved towards the torturer as he kicked him away. He moved past that guy and onto a wall. This was Venion's escape place.

The dragon was growling at the cats who were saying 'So sad'. But, he turned his gaze at the torturer and his eyes became full of hatred. Still, the dragon didn't move from Cale's arms.

Cale turned around and told Choi Han to punch the wall. Choi Han punched the wall as Simon was busy collecting his puppets who were in their doll form.

Cale carried the dragon and moved inside. The cats were carried by Choi Han and Simon followed behind.

A few minutes later, They arrived outside(after punching another wall, but that's unimportant).

The dragon that was glaring at Cale looked around. It was night and the wind was chilly. But the dragon enjoyed it. He looked around and saw the grass and leaves shining under the moonlight.

Seeing the shine, The dragon raised his head. Then, He saw it.

Probably the most beautiful scenery he had seen in his 4 years of life inside that cave. It was the night's sky.

Filled with twinkling stars in the dark and blue sky with a beautiful moon. He was enchanted by the night's sky. The dragon that was only 4 years old had seen the night sky for the first time.

Soon his thoughts were disrupted as the red-haired human put him down on the grass. The dragon looked at this human with caution. He was scared to get tortured again after seeing this beautiful sky.

As expected the human said

"Hey" as he took out scissors. The scissor made the dragon realize it.

'Ah, This is the end again. I am going to get tortured.'

Even with that thought, the dragon looked ready to attack. He would never go down without a fight.

But, Something unexpected happened. The human clicked his tongue and grabbed his neck. As the dragon was about to attack, the human used the scissor to cut down the chains.

The chains that had made him go through that darned hell. The chain that made him unable to fight back against those bast*rds.

Some sparks flew as the chains completely broke down.

The Mana distortion tool had long been deactivated so the dragon could use magic.

He looked at the human with eyes filled with surprise. Seeing this the human scoffed at him.

Cale took a potion. It was the highest-grade potion and cost a lot of money to buy. He opened his mouth.

"Do you know how much money I spent on you?"

The dragon was familiar with this sentence. They always said this before hitting him. But, Unlike before he was not hit. He didn't feel any pain at all.

Cale poured half of the potion in the dragon's mouth before sprinkling the rest on its body. The effect could be seen easily. The injuries of the dragon were healed.

Immediately, the Mana surrounded the dragon. The wind began to blow faster as they saw the greatness of a dragon. Cale looked at this small baby dragon who was tortured for his entire life.

He then asked the dragon.

"What will you do now?"

No reply came so Cale continued.

"I know you can speak and understand human language. Tell me, What will you do now?"

A reply came this time.

"I, I will live. I will be free. I won't be tamed by anybody."

Cale smiled as he said.

"Correct. Remember, You are a dragon. A dragon. The strongest and the greatest existence in the world."

"I won't take care of you. I won't tame you. Just let me tell you, Live. Don't let my efforts in saving you go to waste. Live and do whatever you want."

"Remember that you are a Dragon."

Cale turned around and started walking away.

Phew, This was really long. Almost 3K. Only one chapter today. And I was planning on writing something here but forgot.
