Chapter 114: -(-)-

Hachiro voiced his thoughts to Naruto, who's body was in terrible shape.

The medical ninja had already given him some basic treatment, giving him at least the ability to stand up and walk around.

Surprising, the young boy dragged his feet over to his 'kind grandpa' after two minutes of convincing.

Naruto stood opposite the Hokage, breathing heavily at what he was about to do.

Nearly everyone apart of the Konoha 12 was shocked.

They still subconsciously associated the title 'deadlast' with him and the thought that the worst student in their academy class killing the Hokage was beyond unbelievable.

Sakura in particular found this specific situation baffling to her.

She still hadn't processed that the Hokage was not someone worthy of respect even after being told straight to the face. In her mind the Third Hokage was a spiritual idol, that possessed the Will of Fire.

How could anyone dare kill him!

"Naruto, you idiot you-"

Someone pulled her back and a hand covered her mouth.

She looked back and noticed it was Ino.

"Shush! Don't you realise what's going on you idiot."

Her father, Inoichi, not so discreetly shifted closer to them and whispered, "Speaking up now, will only kill you."

If Minato wasn't objecting after hearing the atrocities unleashed on his son while the man he had been entrusted too, sat smoking and reading certain content in his office, then how was he suppose to feel?

He might regret it at a later date after calming down. But for now, it was an awful idea for people as weak as them to intervene.

Hiruzen said with a complex expression.

"Naruto... I've watched you from such a young age."

As if he was speaking with absolute sincerity, he gave the brightest and kindest smile in his wardrobe and said, "I understand what needs to be done. I hope you'll allow this old man a painless death."

He then gave a helpless laugh which soon faded replaced by a silence and tears streaming down his face.

He had a look of remembrance, "Ichiraku ramen... that was your favourite shop right? I think I recall taking you their for your second birthday..."

The thick skin belonging to the monkey was enough to amaze anyone.

Naruto trembled as he stood still motionlessly with tears in his eyes.

Hiruzen pulled out his killer move knowing Naruto's dream. "Naruto! I just wish I could have seen you replace me as the Hokage."

Naruto froze.

Sasuke looked at him frustrated that he was taking so long and forcing him to listen to his nonsense.

Clang!

The crisp sound of a kunai smacking into the ground, reverberated throughout the surrounding area.

Naruto broke into tears again.

Minato felt a little relieved secretly, while he was more accepting of reality, he wasn't too interested in ending the life of his old sensei.

"I'll do it, then!"

Sasuke ran over to the Third Hokage with a kunai aimed at piercing his throat.

Of course, the old man wasn't willing to die so easily, and countered with a diagonal kick sending his young opponent tens of meters away.

Genkei happily shouted, "Look! He's trying to escape, get him!"

With a cheer, the Kumogakure shinobi made a perimeter around him, with a few shinobi bearing personal grudges stepping forward and volunteering themselves for the fight.

Sasuke tried to get up, ignoring the medical nin trying to tend to him.

He pointed at Danzo and looked at Izumi.

"Can I kill him? He planned the massacre."

Before Izumi could reply, Danzo weakly said radiating anger. "They were all killed by Itachi! See, even their eyes are in the hands of the Cloud shinobi!"

"You still planned it..."

Sasuke grit his teeth as the curse mark on his neck started to spread once, making up his lack of chakra.

If he couldn't kill the Hokage, he would kill the rest of his associates. That was an equal exchange, right?

Izumi requested Hachiro to look after Sasuke before jumping in with the shinobi opting to fight the monkey of a kage.

She muttered to herself while rubbing the edge of her kunai, "After I've killed you, I'll be one step closer to Itachi..."
