In HOTD with The Satou System

Note: This fan-fic assumes the HOTD timeline starts around 2013, and this is fan fic will have a harem. For those of you unfamiliar with who Satou is, look up Death March to a Parallel World Rhapsody, and you will learn about the system he has. My name is Victor, and I reincarnated into the HOTD world several years before the world went to hell with several gifts God gave me. Having been through military school, thanks to my father having no time for me, I learned all the skills and knowledge I needed to survive this post-apocalyptical world, and then some. Now all I have to do is keep the people I care about, and those who will follow me safe from harms way though that is easier said then done when the undead start mutating. Follow me on my journey as I go from High School Student to Warlord, and the crazy journey it takes to get there. ***I don't own the cover photo. Chapter 21 - Insane Tyrant

Roaring at him, my body emanated with red aura as I charged at him. Seemingly caught of guard by this, he tried to move out of the way, but I grabbed him by the waist and barreled through the wall he had initially crashed into. Picking up steam, I kept slamming him through walls till eventually we broke through to the outside.

"...Co...commander...", a few of the men gulped, "Uh...uh what was that?"

"I...I don't know.", he said quickly refocusing, "I want barricades back up!! Machine guns will protect you, just get them up!!"

Acknowledging the order, the men moved forward to get barricades in place. Quickly stacking sandbags and moving the mines, the Commander seemed to understand the zombies were chasing the noise the high schooler had caused. After a few minutes they had a decent barricade in place, and he gave the order to advance. Telling them to take back their outer defenses, he wanted to seize this opportunity to retake ground they had lost.

Out in the street, the other group watched me throw a giant mutant into a small building across from the stadium. Seeing the aura pour off of me and my battle cry, Sayo got really giddy.

"He's like me!!", Sayo laughed with joy, "Someone else just like me!!"

"I don't know if that is good or bad.", Oriha gulped, "You are a monster, but usually removing your mask stops you. He isn't wearing a mask..."

"I think I can take him if needed.", Sayo boasted mowing down zombies with her machine gun.

Watching Victor use the axe in his hands to cut swaths of undead apart, Yuko was doubtful Sayo could take me. Having seen how easily that monster had been thrown, she honestly thought Victor's upper limits were far above Sayo's. Having been informed of Victor's father, she started to think that he might have used his own son as a guinea pig like Sayo's father had.

'Either way, I am glad he is on our side.', she thought beheading several zombies.

Meanwhile Saeko was watching her boyfriend's movements closely. She had known for a long time he had been hiding something because he always seemed to be observing everything they did and the area around them. For a while she thought he was seeing someone behind her back, but that went away when he was open about the other girls. Now that she was watching him mercilessly tear through a horde of undead, she understood why he had been acting so weird.

'I expect nothing less of the man I chose to be my life partner.', she thought kicking a head from her feet.

"Victor is certainly something!", Rei commented pulling her spear back.

"Agreed, I haven't seen him get like this ever.", Pucca added covering Rei's blindside.

"I get why his Dad forbid him from fighting with us...", Nina stated, "He'd murder us instantly!"

Focusing on the undead nearest to them, the group started to advance in my direction. On the roof, the soldiers were cutting down the towers of undead with grenades and rifle fire. Giving them instructions on where to aim and where they needed to be, Saya noticed the man she loved fighting in the middle of a horde of undead. At first she wanted to scream out to call for help, but she noticed that none of them were getting close to him. It was very strange, his movements were incredibly fluid and precise...to an eerie degree. Every move had no wasted energy and delivered devastation with each hit.

"Young Lady, is he an item with you?", Chikako inquired with a smirk.

"O...of course!! We are super serious!!", Saya huffed trying not to get overly excited, "We are practically married, that's how close we are!"

"Wow, that is really close.", Chikako teased knowing Saya was love struck, "How about those other ladies down there?"

Motioning to the rest of Saya's group, she was happy to see that they were making good progress towards him.

"Jeez he is a talented and powerful guy. Of course he would have a lot of women following him.", Saya snapped, "Shouldn't you be firing on the undead, or something? If you got time to talk you have time to shoot those things."

"You are a pain, has anyone ever told you that?", Chikako laughed.

"A pain!?", Saya shouted, "Who are you calling a pain because I know you aren't talking about me!"

"Haha!!", Chikako snickered, "Alright, I apologize."

Down on the street level, the Tyrant was back on it's feet and free of it's restraints. Jumping out of the building, it swung at me with it's full strength. Pulling the Cap's shield off my back, the moment it's fist hit the shield it's energy was redirected back at it blowing it's arm to bit. Slamming the edge of the shield into it's face, the monster flew back a few feet.

Entering my skill menu quickly, I maxed on Spartan Rage and prepared to give this fucker the beatdown of a lifetime.

"Sir, we have a problem.", one of the officers overseeing the Mark 1 Tyrant told the Commander.

"What is it?", he questioned.

"The Mark 1 has encountered...well he's encountered someone stronger than itself.", the soldier told him.

"Is it Sayo?", he inquired.

"Umm...no.", the soldier replied unsure if he should say.

"Out with it man.", the Commander snapped.

"Your son...he's beating the Mark 1 back.", the soldier reported.

"He's what!?", the Commander spat, "My son may have Delta Force training, but the Mark 1 Tyrant is stronger than a human!! I don't need your jokes soldier!!"

"He isn't lying.", Jessica told him, "Your son is physically superior to the Mark 1 Tyrant."

"How!?", he snapped, "Are you saying the US Government experimented on my son!!"

'Like you actually give a shit.', she thought, "Let's not forget his mother was our top scientist involved with the early parts of the Tyrant program. It's likely she perfected the serum before her death, and injected him with it."

"You are saying my deceased wife could have caused this.", he growled narrowing his eyes.

"It's a possibility.", she replied looking at the screen, "He seems to be getting stronger with each passing moment, and his control of his strength is terrifying. We will need to take that into consideration as he will be a problem to Umbrella."

"He can't be everywhere, and adjusting our timeline now for a single person is unreasonable.", he stated, "What other assets do we have in the area?"

"The Mark 1 is the strongest asset we have on Japan. Transporting anything else will take days, maybe even weeks.", she told him.

"Very well, release all safeties on the Mark 1 and engage Rage Mode.", he ordered.

"Are you insane!? If you use that now we will lose all control of the prototype!", she spat, "Doing this will set the program back by at least two months!! We need that specimen to be returned intact!!"

"I am the commanding officer here", he barked, "This was a test run so we might as well test all the functions. Release the safeties and engage Rage Mode, or should I have you removed from the program?"

"You are responsible for explaining to upper management why our only functional Tyrant went AWOL.", she retorted doing as he ordered.

---Tokyo---

Watching equipment fall off the prototype, it's body started to swell up and I could sense that it's sense of reason was slipping. Knowing that they had taken the safeties off, I was pissed that they made such a rash decision. I had figured they would make the thing retreat to stop it from being captured as Black Label's scientists could reverse engineer it to find a suitable weapon against it.

'It seems like he decided that I am an annoyance that needs to be removed.', I thought.

Roaring at each other, it shattered the ground beneath it's feet as it went on the offensive. Switching from brute force attacks, I added points into Fist of the North Star and Flowing Water Fist Fighting Style. Once it was in close range, I cut loose using my martial arts training. Trying to follow my hands, the Tyrant lost track of them and myself almost instantly. Realizing that I had moved behind it, it went to attack only to see a blur of fists coming for it.

"Hundred Crack Fist!!", I shouted, "Atatatatatatatatata!! Ho wata!!"

Bombarded by the barrage, the Tyrant went flying through the horde of zombies turning everything behind it into mush. Jumping out of the way, the women barely managed to dodge as the Tyrant flew past them. Watching it crash into and cave in a tank, Sayo quickly retract her earlier statement.

Having hit many pressure points around it's body, the Tyrant was having problems getting up. Since it wasn't injured by the blows to the pressure points, it's regeneration wasn't working to heal like it was with the lost arm. Staring it down with a cold, killing stare I used a technique I only had managed to use successfully twice, Awakening Breath. Feeling the world around me slow down to half speed, I walked towards the Tyrant as the undead went to attack me. Being nothing but puppets, they didn't have the same sense of fear the living people were feeling.

One moment there were dozens of zombies, and the next there was only a red mist as the undead were vaporized by me. To those watching everything was a blur, which excited Sayo. The monster in her was shivering with delight as it had recognized a powerful individual, a suitable partner. Vanishing from their sight, I reappeared in front of the Tyrant for another burst of attacks.

"What the hell is going on!?", the Commander shouted at the scientists as he watched the live feed, "Just what the hell is going on there!! Why aren't the systems keeping up with him!!"

"Sir, he is moving to quickly!! The computers can't keep up!!", a few of them replied frantically trying to jump start movement again, "He...he hit several pressure points, and now the Tyrant can't move!!"

"What!?", he spat full of anger, "The Tyrant's hide can take a hit from a mortar with no tissue damage, and you are saying my son hit it harder than that!!"

"Yes!", they shouted, "He is a monster!!"

Realizing the miscalculation in his plan, he ordered them to retrieve the Tyrant. Ordering them to use the horde to cover it's escape, they told him that they couldn't evacuate it. The nearest Umbrella Team was several miles away so extraction was a no go.

"Overwhelm him!!", he ordered, "He is only a teenager, he can't deal with all of the horde at once!!"

---Tokyo---

Sensing the shift to targeting me, I turned and bombarded the incoming horde. Watching a series of explosive punches vaporize the undead, Sayo felt her inner self want to join in the carnage. Putting her mask on, she leapt into the fray swing like a madman as she ripped the undead to pieces. Knowing that they were trying to use the undead to buy time for the ground troops to extract the Tyrant, I decided to end this quickly. Picking up the tank with the Tyrant, I threw it at the horde. Pulling Sayo out of the way, the tank rolled through the horde crushing the undead as it went.

"Haha!!", Sayo cackled, "This is awesome!! More!! More!!"

"You need to take a nap.", I said pinching a nerve in her neck to immobilize her.

Giving her to Yuko, I said I would finish this up quickly. By now Saya's group had come down to join the defenders at the entrance to the stadium. Rushing out to provide support, the defenders realized that the majority of the horde had been crushed. Lining up a technique I had made to fight the undead, I had been waiting to use it on a full blown Tyrant but I was fine with using it here.

"Whirlwind Water Stream: Roaring Aura Life-Snatching Collapse Fist!!", I shouted.

Closing the space between the Tyrant and me, I unleashed the overwhelming attack on the Tyrant ripping apart it's body from the inside. The resulting shockwave from the blow caused a massive explosion that shattered glass down the entire street and caused the undead in the street to explode as the energy rippled through them. Confirming that the undead were wiped out, I started letting my body come down from it's heightened state slowly.

Having learned that it was a necessary step, I had put myself in the clinic for days the first time I used it without doing so. Suddenly coming down from such a heightened state left me reeling, even as a High Human. I assumed that once I leveled up further the recoil would go away. For now though I needed to move and help out so taking it slow was imperative.

"What the hell was that!?", Saya snapped, "I want answers, why the hell can you toss a fucking tank!! How did you cause such a massive explosion with just your fists!?"

"I can explain.", I sighed, "Right now though, can I get some water?"

"Of course!", the Commander said nodding his head, "Get him some water stat!"

Bringing me a gallon of water, I chugged it down and then let off a sigh.

"Alright, the simplest way to put it is that I am like Sayo.", I told them, "My mother worked for Umbrella before her death, I am fairly certain she is the one that made me like this."

"That makes sense.", Yuko and Yoko agreed, "Okay."

"What!? You are going to just accept that!?", Saya shouted.

"Saya, Sayo is an escaped test subject of Umbrella Corp. In an enraged state she is stronger and faster than any human, and runs solely on instinct. When she puts her mask on, it is almost impossible for anyone to stop her till she passes out from exhaustion.", Mikoto explained, "Umbrella was trying to make Super Soldiers before they stumbled into making the undead. From what we have been able to gather, this whole thing stems from a fungus they found somewhere in Europe but that is just a speculation at this point. We never got solid proof of where they got their source. All we know for sure is that they have several strains manmade viruses that they intended to make weapons out of."

"So Victor is one of them!?", she spat.

"No, I think my mother made me to stop his from happening.", I lied, "My father said after I was born my mother started to change. I think she realized what she was doing was wrong, and made me to fight them."

"I can believe that!", Yuriko backed me up, "She did change after your birth, her mentality changed. Your mother said having you opened her eyes, I never understood what she meant till now."

Trusting her mother, Saya swallowed her doubt and accepted that my mother was the source of this. Giving me a hug, she told me that she was worried that I was going to die when she saw me in the horde. Telling me to warn her next time, she swore she'd kick my ass if I hid something like that from her again. Saying that I was still learning about everything she had done, I said there may be more that I don't quite know.

"Frankly I don't care what you are, I am just thankful you are on our side.", the Commander said shaking my hand, "On behalf of the people of Japan, I thank you for saving all those civilians in the stadium."

"I am happy I could help", I said, "Now then...I would like to take a shower and go back home."

"Could we maybe get help rebuilding our base a bit? At least the front entrance?", he inquired.

"...I still want the shower.", I chuckled.

"I can get you that.", he laughed, "Follow me."

---Undisclosed Location---

Staring a blank feed from the Mark 1 Tyrant, the Commander was trembling. He had just lost a valuable and expensive asset that would cost them two months of work with nothing to show for it. They had almost no data on battle as they weren't set up to record the footage or data internally. All the data collection was built into the Tyrant...and it was now non-existent.

"I fucking told you!!", Jessica shouted.

"How was I supposed to know!? The first three years of his life he spent solely with his mother!! I was off fighting wars, not watching what she was doing!!", he snapped.

"Ugh, I told you to escape the battle!! He was unlikely to pursue given the swarm we had at the site. You chose to ignore that, and pushed him harder!! We lost all the test data, lost the Tyrant, and now they have access to Tyrant DNA!! Black Label has the staff to reverse engineer our work, and potentially make chemical weapons to kill the Tyrants!! You know how much money and resources we put into developing the Tyrants!! Several billion dollars have gone down the drain now!!", Jessica berated him.

"Enough.", a group of voices said, "What's done can't be undone, we need you to prioritize improving the Tyrant program. Rebuild a new one, and make sure this time we are recording the data internally. We don't need another big set back, and Commander...we trust that you weren't with holding that valuable information about your son from us."

"I swear I truly had no idea. My knowledge of him is based solely on the reports from his time in Military Boarding School. Anything prior...I am ignorant of as I was overseas.", he told them.

"Very well, put pressure on the US Government to see if they had a hand in his creation. We know we had several leaks that ended up getting to the major powers. If your wife didn't do it, one of them likely did.", the group stated, "Consider this your one time pass, the next failure will come with a steep cost."

"I understand!", he said with a salute.

Disconnecting from the monitor, the executives left the room in silence. Reflecting on what had happened, he understood now that his son was a very real threat and that he could care out his threat of killing him. Seeing first hand the level of power his son possessed he wondered why his wife would go to such lengths to stop Umbrella.
