109 Chapter 109 - The Hunt (Part 1)

---Next Morning---

Waking up the next morning, I slipped out of bed and had my breakfast. Getting suited up, I head to see Clark in his world. He was the best person to ask about locating the pieces of shit I was after. Stepping through the portal, I found myself in what I would describe as a futuristic cityscape. Clark had really moved the world's technology forward, but certain things were still the same as my world.

'U.A High School...so he is really from a MHA world.', I thought walking towards his agency, 'The Superman persona should have given that away.'

Walking down the street, people looked at me weird because of my armor. Ducking into an alley to change into my casual clothing, I continued walking without any nervous looks from people. Clark had done a really good job cleaning the place up as my map showed that there were only a small number of enemies on the map, and most were in police custody. As I approached his agency, I realized he had built it to look like the Hall of Justice from DC. Snapping a picture, because I was a fan of the building, I causally walked inside.

Checking in with the receptionist, who was a soft spoken Mirko, she told me it would only be a moment. Looking at her for a moment since she was acting out of character, she gave me a smile and explained that she was from a different world. Informing me that Clark had saved her and others from a life of slavery, she retired from Heroing and became a receptionist for him. Nodding my head, I walked over and took a seat in the waiting room.

'So there was a a world like that too...', I thought, 'Man the Omniverse can be a really shitty place to be.'

Waiting no more than five minutes, a woman approached me.

"You must be Victor.", the red haired woman said, "I am here to show you upstairs."

Glancing up at her, I realized it was Rias Gremory. Standing up quickly, I shook her hand with a kind smile. Checking her out with my HUD, I noticed that she her name was Rias Wayne and she had the title of <<Clark's Wife>>. Killing any ideas I might have had for flirting with her, I brought up my reason for coming here.

"I tried contacting him last night and this morning, but couldn't get ahold of him.", I stated, "Apologies if my unannounced visit caused you any problems."

"It is no trouble at all, it family night last night so we all watched a movie and played games together. Clark takes family time seriously so he usually doesn't respond to anyone else unless it's an emergency.", Rias laughed motioning me to follow her, "It's one of the things we all really like about him. Anyways, you are here to talk about locating a few people right?"

"That's correct.", I replied following her, "I was hoping he could assist because looking on foot would take a really long time. I am looking for four groups of people in particular, but I am sure he told you that."

"Yes, he is currently out on several missions right now so we will help you.", Rias said, "We have an Intelligence Division that should be able to locate who you are after."

Taking me upstairs to the Intelligence Center, she handed me off to a group of women who could assist me. Finding them bent over a desk looking at a computer monitor, they too all had <<Clark's Wife>> in their titles. Looking at their names, I couldn't believe how lucky Clark was to have such a talented number of wives supporting. That said, my family was equally as talented as them...maybe just not as deadly though.

'Still though...I thought the saying was don't mix business and pleasure.', I thought, 'Almost all of the employees I have seen are either his wives or are relatives.'

Realizing that I was there, the women stopped what they were doing and straightened up.

"You must be Victor, Clark said you'd be stopping by this morning.", Katherine Wayne stated, "It's a pleasure to me you finally in person."

"Thank you, so what do you have for me?", I inquired.

Sliding me a folder, Katherine explained that currently Davoth and Vader were in the middle of invading another world. Informing me that world was a fused one, I was informed that I would need to hurry if I wanted to catch them. Thanking them for the information, I opened a portal to universe coordinates and left the agency.

---Unknown World---

Stepping through on to the unknown world, I took a second to load the map in to find the two men. Watching the entire map populate without any issue, I located them on the other side of the map from me. Teleporting a few thousand feet above them, I realized exactly which world this was.

'Oh no...I fucking jinxed myself the other day, didn't I...', I thought, 'I need to learn not to say shit like that...'

"AQUA-SAMA!!!", a brown haired man shouted running for his life from Demons, "HELP ME!!!"

"I am trying Kazuma, but my divinity isn't working!! Why won't Turn Undead work on these evil things!!", she sobbed, "WE ARE GOING TO DIE!!! I AM TOO BEAUTIFUL TO DIE BEING ASSUALTED BY THESE DEMONS!!"

"Assaulted!?", Darkness panted before correcting herself, "We...we shouldn't let them take us!"

Watching her tank a hit without even trying to dodge, I saw the look of pure joy on her face. Falling to the ground she pretended to be weakened by them...which made even the Demons uncomfortable. Watching her squirm on the ground telling them not to assault her, she was panting like a dog in heat. Backing away from her, the Demons must of thought she had some sort of infectious disease.

Megumin was lying in the dirt nearby unable to really move. Poking her to see if she was alive, the Stormtroopers looked at each other trying to understand what was going on. Taking a peek into their minds...the men were questioning what exactly was wrong with this world. Not really blaming them for that, I surveyed the area a bit more to see who else was here.

Seeing several familiar names popup, they were all engaged in fights around the city. Opting to speak with them later, I dropped down onto the Demon chasing Kazuma. Getting splashed by the blood and guts from the impact, Kazuma wiped the gore from his face and hugged me tightly.

"A Hero has arrived!! Thank you Eris-sama!! You really are ten times better than Aqua.", Kazuma stated.

"What did you say!?", Aqua shouted hitting a Stormtrooper with her sake bottle.

"You heard me, you Useless Goddess!!", Kazuma remarked, "I would have been better summoning that Giant Hamster over bringing you here!! At least it can actually fight!!"

As soon as he finished saying that, Aqua started bawling her eyes out calling him a stupid idiot. Realizing that this wasn't going to get me anywhere, I pulled Kazuma off me and yeeted him into the Stormtroopers. Finally registering I was there, the enemy stopped attacking Kazuma and the other Adventurers to focus on me. Moving past the enemy in a moment I walked over towards Wiz who was running low on magic.

Offering her a potion to recover her spent magic, gratefully accepted it. Looking at the scene behind me, she watched the enemy explode into pieces very violently.

"Are...are you going to kill us too?", she asked me.

"No, I am here for their leaders. Do you know where I can find them?", I replied.

"Those two meanies are by the North Gate.", she stated puffing her cheeks out, "They destroyed my shop, and everything I owned!!"

Seeing her act that way, it reminded me of Shizuka. Instinctively patting her on the head, I told her it would be alright as I left for the North Gate. Touching her head with a smile after that, Wiz felt very happy for some reason. It was weird to have someone pat her head, but it also felt really good for some reason.

As I got to the North Gate, I found Ainz and company locked in combat with Davoth and Vader. Thanks to their gear, Ainz and his minions were evenly matched in terms of power but Vader and Davoth had the superior numbers.

"Lord Ainz, I suggest we regroup.", Sebas said.

"Agreed, a tactical retreat to regroup would be a wise decision.", Demiurge agreed.

"No, this is the best position as the number of enemies that can approach is limited. Moving back gives the enemy more room to maneuver.", Ainz remarked.

"You are a hard man to find.", I said appearing in front of Davoth, "I have been looking for you."

Seeing me there, Davoth went to order his Demons to attack me but they exploded into bits. Having hit their pressure points while moving in front of him, they didn't even realize they died till they exploded.

"We left your world, why are you still chasing us?", Davoth asked me.

"You left my world in shambles...it's time for payback motherfucker.", I growled.

Trying to take advantage of me seemingly not looking at him, Vader tried to stab me with his lightsaber. Watching the energy bend around me, he almost dropped his sword in shock. Giving him a smirk, I sucker punched him in the face. Grabbing Davoth by the head, I pulled him down and slammed my knee into his face. Grabbing his suit of armor, I ripped it off like it was made of tin foil.

Ordering his Demons to attack me, I snapped them out of existence before they could move. Pulling Vader towards me before he could flee, I roundhouse kicked his head clean off because I was done playing cat and mouse with them. Incinerating his body, before it hit the ground I looked at Davoth who showed no signs of fear. Not taking any chances with him, I cut his head off and incinerated him as well.

"Two down and two to go...", I sighed looking back at the other group, "What's up Momonga!"

"Do I know you?", he asked.

"No, but I know you pretty well.", I chuckled acting like nothing happened, "How did you end up here?"

"That's a long story...", he groaned.

"I got time, why don't we gather up the others so we can talk.", I suggested walking past them.

Taking some time to get the different refugee groups together, I wanted to talk to them about how they got here. Once we were all sitting down together at the guild hall, I started with Ainz first as the others were still getting situated. Explaining to me that Albedo had gone missing several months back, Ainz and company had set out to look for her because she was still alive. During their exploration on their world, they stumbled through a portal on accident and ended up here.

Asking Seiya and Rista from the Overly Cautious Hero World the same question, Seiya said it was Rista's fault. She pulled him through a doorway that led them here...though Rista insisted she didn't know there was a portal on the other side of the door. Similar situations happened with Subaru and Tanya's groups...which made me curious who had opened the portals.

"I can answer that...", Clark told me telepathically, "Some rather unsavory characters moved people around randomly to cause problems. The person in question is locked up tight, but the people there don't have a world to go back too. Fortunately they get along well enough so I left them alone for the most part."

"Ah...makes sense then. Any idea where Albedo went?", I inquired.

"She is married to one of our colleagues. The guy that came with me to meet you the other day, he is her husband. Don't ask how he managed to change her obsession, I really don't want to know.", he chuckled, "Anyways, I found the last two people you are looking for. I am sending you the information now, thanks for the help."

Getting up to leave, Aqua told me to stay and celebrate their victory. Shaking my head, I said I had somewhere I needed to be but I would be back that evening to celebrate.
