The drive back home was a silent one. It wasn't an awkward silence, but a rather comfortable one.

After Nick pulled away from the kiss, he just smiled and suggested we leave.

I couldn't say anything so l just nodded. Now we're on our way back home, enjoying the silence as my hand was outside the window.

"Nick?"

"Hmm?"

"What do you do?" I ask him as I retract my hands inside.

He gives me a quick glance. "What do you mean?"

"Ever since you left the cult, what have you been doing? I mean, you have your own apartment at the age of 18, that was bought with your own money. You are pretty well off without your father's wealth. You can't possibly tell me it's the earnings of two years ago that has kept you this far."

"Really?" He looks surprised.

"Yeah. And again, the way Ross acts towards you clearly shows you are still working. Sometimes, you and Peter talk about things secretly. Business minded things."
