Bloody psychopath

I open the front door and step inside. I walked to the kitchen to get a glass of water when I met Mr Hart by the counter.

"Raven!" He smiles at me and I internally puke.

This man cheated on his wife. I mean, how can he look at me all innocent and smiley?

"Good evening Mr Hart." I smile back.

Ever since Nick told me his dad's a cheating bastard, I haven't laid my eyes on him. Now he's sitting by the counter, reading a newspaper with a cup of coffee by his side and it seemed awkward. It seemed different.

"I didn't know you went out." He remarks as he sips his coffee.

"Um yeah. I- uh I should go. Goodnight." I turn to walk away but he stops me.

"Am I making you uncomfortable?" He asks and I pause.

Yes you are, but not in the way you're thinking!

I turn to him and give him a tight smile.

"I'm sorry for rushing everything, or if you think everything is going fast paced, just know I'm one of the good guys."
