In DC?

What began as a routine spring day quickly spiraled into chaos with the sudden arrival of a freak thunderstorm—one so bizarre that even the most seasoned meteorologists were left baffled. Amidst the downpour, I, in a moment of reckless curiosity, found myself standing on a fourth-floor balcony, pondering something as mundane as a salary increment. But fate had other plans. A series of multicolored lightning bolts struck, enveloping me in their electric embrace and flinging me into an alternate reality. As I regained my bearings, I found myself at the epicenter of a catastrophic explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs—a scene that seemed eerily reminiscent of the fictional world from the TV show The Flash. With the boundaries between fiction and reality blurred, my life took an unexpected turn. Faced with this strange new world, I was thrust into adventures and challenges that I never could have imagined. But what brought me here? And why?

Ch - 81 Trap?

When Barry heard all of Dr. Wells' suggestions, one thing that caught his attention was "running on water." Astonished, he exclaimed, "Wait! What do you mean by run on water? Can I do that? I mean, I can run on the walls of a vertical building, so running on water shouldn't be that difficult, right?"

Harrison Wells, pleased that he had successfully piqued Barry's interest, began to explain, "Well, theoretically speaking, you could indeed run on water with sufficient speed and precise calculations."

Barry wasn't the only one amazed by the idea. Cisco, too, was awestruck. "That's awesome!" he exclaimed.

Unlike Barry and Cisco, Swayam didn't think much of it because he knew that, at some point in the future, Barry would be able to travel through the space-time continuum.

Caitlin, on the other hand, was focused on mastering her own metahuman abilities and processing her relationship with Swayam. Although the concept of running on water was impressive, her mind was elsewhere.

The training session lasted for quite a while. Even though Barry had made progress, that didn't mean he had fully mastered his abilities.

During one such session, while Barry was training his reflexes against Cisco's modified drone, he teasingly said, "Is that all this Cisco-fied drone has got?" Barry then challenged Cisco to unleash the drone's full capabilities.

Although Barry had made impressive strides with his powers, he struggled against the drone's attacks. However, this struggle pushed Barry to try something new—using his superspeed, he redirected a rocket back toward the drone, blasting it. The maneuver even impressed Eobard Thawne, disguised as Harrison Wells.

"Very impressive, Mr. Allen," Wells said, hiding his true excitement behind a composed demeanor. "Your reaction to stimuli at super speed continues to improve."

Despite the praise, Barry still felt unsatisfied. "It's still not enough," he said, his frustration evident.

Wells, eager to see Barry reach his full potential for his own plans, encouraged him further. "It will be. Keep working like you are, stay focused, and you'll be ready the next time the man in yellow appears."

Swayam found Wells' encouragement ironic and hypocritical, given that Wells himself was the man in yellow.

Later that night, while everyone was taking a break from hero duties, an incident occurred at a customs warehouse that handled imported cars from Europe. When the police arrived after the alarm went off, they found no cars stolen. Perplexed, they handed the case over to the CCPD.

The next morning, Barry and Joe inspected the scene. Upon examining the shattered steel door, Barry realized it had been frozen and had zero viscoelasticity, meaning it broke like glass. Only one person could have done this—Leonard Snart, aka Captain Cold. But if Snart had broken in, why hadn't he stolen anything?

Barry and Joe concluded that Snart wasn't there to steal but to set a trap, likely targeting either The Flash or Shadow.

Barry headed to S.T.A.R. Labs and briefed the team on the incident. "I'm pretty sure it was Snart. But why didn't he take anything? I think he's setting a trap for us."

Harrison Wells scoffed, dismissive of Snart's threat. "For a non-metahuman, Leonard Snart is proving to be quite the nemesis."

Cisco, still feeling guilty for creating the cold gun Snart had stolen, muttered self-reproachfully, "He still has the cold gun. The one I built."

Swayam, noticing Cisco's guilt, tried to redirect the conversation. "The question is, what does he want?"

Barry responded, "I'm not entirely sure, but I think he's after us."

Swayam pondered what Snart could be planning, concluding that he likely wanted to remove both The Flash and Shadow as obstacles to his criminal activities.

"If Snart wants a fight with us, then we'll give him one," Barry said, determined.

But Harrison Wells, ever the manipulator, didn't agree. He saw Snart as a distraction from Barry's true goal—becoming fast enough to stop the Reverse Flash. "I didn't say you shouldn't confront him," Wells began carefully, "but Barry, as fast as you and Sam are, you can't be everywhere at once. The last time you went after Snart, a train derailed. You were lucky to save those people before anyone got hurt."

Barry hesitated, absorbing Wells' reasoning. "So, you think we should just let him go?"

Wells countered, "I'm not saying ignore him. But I think Snart poses less of a threat than you're making him out to be. Cisco and I can work with Joe and the police to come up with a way to stop him without risking more lives."

Cisco nodded in agreement, despite his lingering guilt over the cold gun. "Yeah, we can figure out a way to neutralize Snart."

Wells, continuing to push his agenda, offered Barry an out. "Whether or not you go after Snart, that's up to you. We'll support whatever decision you make. But I think you should stay focused on your training. After the Reverse Flash incident, that's where your attention should be."

Swayam, listening intently, couldn't help but feel suspicious. Although Wells made valid points about the police not becoming dependent on them and the need for the CCPD to handle some situations on their own, Swayam knew that Wells always had ulterior motives. He wondered what Wells was planning and how it tied into Barry's future.
