Chapter 16: Remi

Arthur Leywin:

The Xenos Juggernaut just looked at me for what seemed like an eternity.

"You think I would mistake the smell of my love?" She said with anger in her tone.

Shit! This is worse than I thought. If this were a normal Juggernaut, I could escape, but this is out of my league. She even managed to track me while I was invisible...

"Hehehe... Sorry but I don't remember meeting you, so if you could let me leave I..."

"YOU! After what you did to me that day! How could you forget?"

Is she mad I killed her? Well, I would be mad at the person who killed me, but why did she call me love?

"How could you act like this after you shoved that long thing inside me."

"..."

What?

"HEY, DON'T PHRASE IT LIKE THAT! PEOPLE WOULD MISUNDERSTAND!"

I yelled at her after I figured out what she meant... I mean, I did do that, but it was a sword, not my... ekhmm...

This is awkward...

We just stared at each other without saying anything. At least she doesn't want to kill me, so I should be safe for now.

"So, Miss Juggernaut, do you have a name?" I asked her.

"You can call me Remi, my love!" She answered with an excited tone.

"Well, Remi, I would love to stay and chat with you, but I need to get out of here sooooo... See you later?"

I said and tried to get out of this situation, but I wasn't lucky. Remi quickly moved to the side blocking me from walking further.

"I can't let you leave right after finding you, love!"

Erghh... That didn't work, but why must she call me love!

"I see, but could you stop calling me love my name is Arthur, so call me Arthur." I said while scratching the back of my head, not knowing what to do.

Taking a deep breath, I relaxed a bit. This could have been much worse, and having a Juggernaut that doesn't want to kill me is a good thing.

Maybe I could even use that to my advantage.

"Hey, Remi, do you know what floor we are on?"

"Hmm... This should be floor 69."

Nice... So a few more floors and I could return. That's good news.

"Could you help get back to the surface?" I asked Remi.

"Love asked me to help hihihi. He must love me." She started muttering, and I could swear I saw her red eyes turn to hearts.

"..."

I stared at her with a deadpan expression. Seriously what is wrong with her?

"Could you help me collect the Magic Stones?" I asked her.

"Of course, my love, I'll do my best!" She said.

And this was how the Juggernaut Xenos Remi became my supporter...

Sylvie:

I sat comfortably in the hood of mama's cloak while she and the rest of the familia fought the monsters.

They tried to find papa and even went down to the 43rd floor, but when I told her that papa was deeper down the dungeon, she didn't give up and still tries her best to grow stronger and find him.

Oh, he is here again.

'Mama, the stinky cat is here again...'

I told mama when I sensed the stupid cat that had been tailing us for some time now.

When papa was teleported away, I started to train myself so that when he returned, I could protect him and mama.

I also remember the other me had another mama, but she was stupid, unlike my mama.

I recalled papa's memories about another papa and me and used the memories to make some new spells and techniques.

So after some time, I became good at sensing people's mana, and that's how I found the stinky cat one day after we visited the Hostess.

'Where is he hiding this time?'

'In the shadow behind the rock.'

I told mama and was ready to attack if he tried to attack mama.

The smelly stray cat observed us the whole way until we left the dungeon, and then he went to the higher floors of Babel.

Freya:

"...The fox is still with that Elf, and I didn't see the bra.. kid."

"You can leave now." I told him and returned to look over the city.

Where have you gone, my Odr? I thought as I remembered what one of my executives told me about the incident on the 28th floor.

*CRACK*

The sound of cracking wood snapped me out of my thinking as I looked at the destroyed armrest of my throne.

"Tsk.." I clicked my tongue, another one destroyed.

"Ottar, did you find anything?" I asked my strongest child.

"Apart from the strange behavior of the monster in the deeper floors, we couldn't find anything regarding Arthur Leywin."

Probably seeing my expression, he decided to add something else.

"My Lady, from what I have observed from the boy during his years as an adventurer is that he is strong enough to rival level 6 adventures, maybe even stronger. He should be able to return safely if he doesn't do anything stupid."

"..."

I was angry if I made him join my familia when we met that day. Now because of Astrea and that stupid Elf, he could be gone. If not for Ottar stopping me, I would have killed her and her whole familia.

Arthur Leywin:

I sat on the rock chair I made while Remi killed all the monsters on the floor and brought me the Magic Stones.

One thing that is better than fighting is getting stuff for free without doing anything.

The only thing missing is the sun and a chilled drink...

Not the time. Let's continue absorbing the stones.

"You should get ready. The next floor is the Glacier Territory, my lo... Art."

"Ah, thank you, Remi." I said, absorbing the last stone, and we continued for the next floor.

When we walked through the large passage, the chill from the upcoming floor hit me, and I was forced to use a layer of fire mana to keep myself from freezing.
