Chapter 29: Spring City

Yuan and Xiao Hua embarked on their journey towards Liang City after receiving directions from Mo Xie.

In contrast to the original story, Yuan and Xiao Hua reached Liang City in just two hours due to Yuan's abundant Qi, which surpassed that of a high spirit master.

"Welcome, esteemed elders of Liang City!" The guards quickly bowed and showed their respect towards Yuan and Xiao Hua.

"Please rise. I would like to use the teleportation device to reach my destination. Lead the way," Yuan said, not addressing the guards' use of the term "elder" as he knew he would never encounter them again.

"Follow me, seniors," the guard said respectfully, leading them towards the teleportation device.

Yuan and Xiao Hua followed the guard, glancing around the city as they walked.

"Hmm, a restaurant. I wonder how the food tastes in this world," Yuan pondered as he observed the establishment.

"Well, regardless, I will make sure to try the food in Spring City," Yuan thought, his mouth watering at the thought of various delicious dishes.

"We have arrived, seniors," the guard announced, pointing to a raised platform in the city center.

"Thank you for your assistance," Yuan expressed his gratitude, tossing a gold coin to the guard. The coin's value equated to three months' wages for the guard.

"Thank you very much, sir!" the guard exclaimed upon seeing the gold coin, which was a considerable sum.

"I wish to travel to Spring City. How much will it cost?" Yuan inquired directly upon reaching the old man seated at a nearby table.

"Spring City is located 30,247 miles away, making the price 350,000 gold coins," the old man replied after a quick calculation.

"Very well, here is the payment," Yuan said, tossing a bag containing the required amount for teleportation.

"Go up to the platform over there, and you will be transported. However, you won't be placed directly within the city, but a few miles outside of it," the old man explained, pointing to a high platform behind him.

Yuan nodded and proceeded towards the stage, accompanied by Xiao Hua.

After a few seconds of standing on the stage, a white light enveloped them, and they vanished from sight.

Upon arrival through teleportation, Yuan opened his eyes to find himself in a forest amidst the vast expanse.

"This reminds me of the day we first met," Yuan smiled as he gazed at Xiao Hua.

"Yes, indeed," Xiao Hua nodded, a gentle smile playing on her lips as she reminisced about meeting Yuan, who had brought vibrant colors to her once dull life.

"So, how about playing ball later?" Yuan suggested, a smile still adorning his face. It would be a delightful way to unwind and momentarily forget about the Yu family and other concerns, while also bringing happiness to Xiao Hua.

"Hmm, let's play," Xiao Hua eagerly agreed, her expression filled with excitement.

"Great! But for now, let's head to Spring City. I want to introduce you to my younger sister," Yuan stated as he retrieved his flying sword, revealing his clear intention.

"Of course," Xiao Hua nodded, and together they soared through the sky on the flying sword, thoughts of Yuan's little sister occupying their minds.

Once they located the city, they swiftly made their way towards it.

<You have arrived at "Spring City">

"Seniors, welcome to Spring City. If you require any assistance, I will be here to guide you," the guard respectfully greeted Yuan and Xiao Hua as they descended from the sky.

"Thank you, but I am here to meet someone," Yuan acknowledged the guard and contemplated whether to checkout the city or enter to try the food.

"Pardon me, senior, may I have your name so that I can inform the Xuan family of your arrival?" the guard politely asked, hoping that Yuan was not a wanted criminal.

"The Xuan family? Is there someone named Xuan Wuhan in the Xuan family?" Yuan raised an eyebrow, recalling Xuan Wuhan, who had previously aided him in Soul City.

"Does the elder know Miss Xuan Wuhan?!" the guard exclaimed in astonishment, not expecting this young man to be acquainted with the Xuan family.

"Yes, indeed. She asked me to meet her when I arrived in Spring City and gave me this necklace," Yuan replied, removing the necklace from his neck.

"The Xuan Family Pendant! My apologies, esteemed guest!" The guard bowed deeply and quickly to Yuan, overwhelmed by the significance of the pendant.

"Please rise. Since I have some time before the meeting, I would like to visit the Xuan family. Allow me to lead the way," Yuan said casually, proceeding into the city.

"At once, honorable guest," the guard promptly followed behind Yuan, signaling his colleague to inform the Xuan family of Yuan's arrival.
