The following morning, March 31, 1873.

As the Citadel van Antwerpen fired a cannon shot at a sandy fort of Aceh Sultanete, chaos erupted among the Acehnese fighters as they scrambled to retreat and abandon the Kuta fortress located on the coast which soon fell to the Dutch forces. Nevertheless, the Acehnese fighters were not going to let the Dutch conquer their land without a fight. Acehnese artillery fired back, hitting the Citadel van Antwerpen with twelve cannon shots.

The Dutch military commander, Major General J.H.R. Kohler, was already on his way to Aceh with his troops. They arrived on April 5, 1873, and the landing of the troops resulted in nine dead and 46 wounded, mostly from machete attacks by Acehnese fighters.

"Get those wounded men into the tent now!" yelled Kohler as his men frantically carried the wounded soldiers to the medical tent.

"General Kohler, the Acehnese are attacking us with their machetes. What are your orders?" asked one of Kohler's lieutenants.

"We'll have to fight them off. Get the men ready and prepare the artillery. We cannot let these savages defeat us," replied Kohler sternly.

Meanwhile, in the palace of the Aceh Sultanete, the news of the Dutch attack had already reached the ears of the sultan and his advisors.

"We must fight back against these Dutch invaders! They have no right to take over our land and resources," declared the sultan.

"But your highness, we must also consider the safety of our people. We cannot risk their lives in a futile war," argued one of the sultan's advisors.

"I understand your concerns, but we cannot let the Dutch take what rightfully belongs to us. We must defend our land and our people," replied the sultan firmly.

"But how do we fight against their advanced weaponry? We do not have the resources or technology to match them," added another advisor.

"We may not have the same resources or technology, but we have the will to fight for our freedom. We must use every weapon at our disposal and be strategic in our approach," said the sultan, determined to defend his kingdom.

Kohler and his officers were gathered in the war room, poring over maps and discussing their next move.

"Alright gentlemen, we need to establish a base around the mouth of the Aceh river," Kohler said, his voice firm and commanding. "From there, we will advance towards the palace and capture the center of government. Once we have the palace, Aceh will have no choice but to surrender."

The officers nodded, murmuring their agreement. But one officer spoke up, "Sir, with all due respect, we don't even know where the palace is located. The Aceh Expedition Pocket Guide only provides a vague description of the area."

Kohler rubbed his chin thoughtfully, "Yes, that is a problem. But we know that the palace is a large and spacious place, consisting of many villages, with many rice fields, fields, coconut groves, and approximately 6,000 inhabitants."

Another officer interjected, "But sir, that description could fit many places along the river. How will we know which one is the right one?"

Kohler sighed, "I don't know yet. But we will have to rely on our scouts and their knowledge of the area to guide us. We will also have to be prepared for unexpected resistance along the way."

The officers nodded grimly, knowing that the journey ahead would not be an easy one.

As they prepared to depart, Kohler called out, "Remember, we are fighting for the glory of the Dutch East Indies. We must be relentless in our pursuit of victory."

The troops set out towards the mouth of the Aceh river, their eyes fixed on the horizon, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

Kohler's troops marched through the dense jungle, their boots squelching in the mud. They were drenched in sweat, their uniforms sticking to their skin. Kohler wiped his forehead with the back of his hand, feeling the heat and humidity oppressive.

"Sir, we've been walking for hours," one of the soldiers said. "Do we even know where we're going?"

Kohler stopped and turned to face the man. "We're looking for the palace," he said. "The sultan's residence."

"But sir, we don't even know where it is," another soldier pointed out.

"I know," Kohler said, a hint of frustration in his voice. "But we have to keep searching. It's the only way we can take Aceh."

The soldiers nodded, knowing that their mission was critical to the success of the Dutch East Indies government.

As they trudged through the thick foliage, they suddenly came across a walled-off room with several buildings inside.

Kohler's eyes widened as he looked at the imposing structure. "This must be it," he said to his officers. "This must be the palace."

The soldiers approached the fortress-like structure, weapons at the ready. But as they drew closer, they saw that it was not a palace at all, but a mosque.

"What do we do, sir?" one of the soldiers asked.

Kohler hesitated. He knew that attacking a mosque would be a public relations disaster. But he also knew that the Acehnese defenders were fiercely loyal to their sultan, and would fight to the death to defend any building they thought the sultan might be in.

"We have to take it," Kohler said, his voice firm. "But we have to do it carefully. We don't want to create a massacre."

The soldiers moved forward, slowly and cautiously. They could hear the defenders inside, chanting and praying. Kohler raised his hand, signaling for his men to hold their fire.

"We're not here to desecrate a holy place," he said. "We're here to capture it. Alive, if possible."

The Acehnese defenders, seeing the Dutch soldiers approaching, brandished their weapons and began to attack.

As the Acehnese troops fought back against the Dutch forces surrounding the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, something strange began to happen. One by one, the Dutch soldiers fell to the ground, their bodies writhing in agony before finally going still. It was as if some invisible force was striking them down.

The Acehnese fighters were puzzled by the sudden deaths, but they didn't have time to dwell on it. They continued to fight back with all their might, hoping to drive the Dutch forces away from their sacred mosque.

Meanwhile, Kohler was growing increasingly frustrated. He had expected to capture the palace by now, but his troops were being met with fierce resistance at every turn. As he tried to figure out his next move, he received word of the strange deaths occurring at the mosque.

"

What is going on over there?" he demanded of his officers.

"We're not sure, sir," one of them replied. "But it seems that the Dutch soldiers are dying inexplicably."

Kohler frowned. "Inexplicably? That's impossible. There must be some logical explanation."

"Perhaps the Acehnese are using some sort of poison, sir," another officer suggested.

Kohler shook his head. "No, I don't think that's it. We would have seen evidence of that by now. Keep investigating. I want to know what is causing these deaths."

Unbeknownst to Kohler and his officers, the young prince was watching the battle unfold from a distance, his eyes fixed on the tiny screens of the Stark Industries Combat Drones he had deployed to aid the Acehnese fighters. He smiled as he watched the drones use their illusion technology to make themselves invisible to the Dutch soldiers, striking them down one by one with deadly precision.

As the battle raged on, the prince continued to direct the drones from afar, using his knowledge of technology and strategy to turn the tide of the conflict in favor of the Acehnese fighters. And though Kohler and his officers were completely unaware of the prince's actions, they would soon come to realize that they were facing a formidable enemy, one who was determined to protect his people at all costs.
