"H-Huh? Me?" Laleen stared at him, mouth gaping and lashes fluttering. Why did he want her to have a sip?
Shane only smiled despite her reaction, looking towards the cup and then at her.
"Have a sip,"he calmly offered and Laleen swallowed before nodding.
Grabbing the cup, she tried to steady her trembling fingers and racing heart.
She glanced at him right before drinking as if asking for approval and he nodded for her to go ahead.
Laleen parted her lips and took a sip, finding the action very intimate.
Her cheeks were stained with color when she pushed the cup back to him.
"How is it?" He asked her with a faint smile.
Laleen blinked repeatedly before glancing at him but as expected, she couldn't hold his gaze for long.
"Bitter" she mumbled.
Shane chuckled, shaking his head.
"What a child" he remarked before picking up the cup and casually taking a sip again.
