Chapter 4: A New Path

-Aurelius-

"Disgusting" I muttered as I unsheathed my dagger.

The moment I withdrew my blade one of the men conjured an ice blade killing all the surrounding plant life mercilessly. "He's mine" he declared, staring at me with a desire for bloodshed in his eyes.

'I wonder how I should kill this... thing' I thought getting into a battle stance. 'blood loss, collapsed trachea or even if its decapitation, monsters like this only deserve a brutal death'.

I blitzed in front of him with my dagger aiming to cut his throat but he bent backwords with the only damage being a few hairs being sliced. He tried to reclaim his footing but was only met with a kick to his chest. While he was trying to get back up I was planning to stab him in the back but was targeted by the same damn stream of flames that alerted me of there presence. It came from the bulky guy which seemed to be the leader. The water bender got up after my heavy kick still dazed by the amount of force exerted by a child, he stared at me with the intent to speak but that was my opening.

"You damn brat, I'll rip you to shr-" were the last words to escape from his mouth as I propelled my dagger through his throat and into a tree. The leader looked at me with a smirk on his face , while the remaining 3 glared at me with bloodlust.

"Your impressive kid so how about you join us" the leader proposed " But boss he kil-" *Crack* "does anybody else want to speak up?"

'he's holding the lifeless corpse of one of his former subordinates and really expects me to join him does this mongrel think I'm an idiot, well I am a child so I guess its reasonable to think so'

"C'mon, in this forest we have a large community consisting of 2100 people, if your with us and your not dead weight like this guy in my hands you can get money, friends, woman, our slaves and the resources of anybody that resists us, what do you say?" he put on a smile waiting for my answer.

'Now... I could decline, try to kill them or runaway from these monsters but there is one main benefit which is to much to throw away, the loyalty I'd get if I were to free the slaves. A private army of people who all owe their life's to me doesn't sound to bad and if there are trustworthy earth benders I could form my very own kings guard. This just leaves one last thing which is how am I going to trick him into thinking I don't care about the fact they murder people. Actually...'

-Orath-

'This kid just took down a trained water bender with pure skill, he was even able to dodge my flames twice. If I were to introduce him to our chieftain over the years he may even pass my rank as a officer. All I need to do is convince him, I'm hoping that what I said is enough because killing this kid is nothing but wasted potential.'

"Money and friends?"

'YES he's falling for it, from the fact he is skilled and didn't show remorse killing he probably escaped from some assassin training program which is just the type of skill we need.'

"Yes, a mountains worth's of money with all the friends you can think of all you have to do is say yes and meet someone very important"

"Well, I would say yes but those guys look scary and look as if they want to hurt me."

'Is that all he wants just the lives of a few nobody's for a general candidate I guess I'll kill these idiots then'.

"And I want to do it myself, my master told me to always kill when you have the chance as hesitation is a weakness"

'So I was right he was trained, when I meet up with general Bolak later I'll ask him to introduce this kid to the chieftain'

"Go on ahead I'll even give you info, the two on the left are twins, the both of them are fire benders with short range attacks while the short fat guy is a earth bender who specialises in ranged attacks."

"Sir how could you do this to us!" one of the twins said

"It's business boys, business"

'Hmm he's walking towards a tree, oh it looks like he's using the dagger again'

In what seemed like an instant the kid vanished and reappeared with a fist through one of the twins stomach but no he didn't stop there, with 12 consecutive punches the man was left with holes located all over his chest. The other after seeing this erupted in vermillion flames that were fuelled by his wrath and dashed towards the kid. As he did this all the tree's surrounding him were instantly incinerated yet just as fast as the flames came they vanished, with the headless corpse of the final brother being left where the inferno was generated. The fat guy decided to do the smart thing and run but only a limbless bloodied body was left rolling on the ground after his first few steps.

'Well that was fast'

"So then what's your name kid?" I said trying to build a relationship with the boy

"Arthur, you can call me Arthur"

"Well Arthur we're going to be stuck together for the next few hours since my boss' place is pretty far so how about we play a game of Pia sho in the carriage I have"

"Fine by me" he said biting into a fruit he had in his bag.
