In Another World With My Heavenly Beast

Arthur Pendragon was a 15-year-old loser, with no friends, parents, and a bleak future. To distract himself from his parents' early death he hid himself away in his novels. His future would have stayed bleak if not for a mistake by God. He was killed by a stray bolt of lightning hitting his house... How did it kill him specifically when his relatives were also home? He was not sure... For such a blunder Arthur Pendragon was given a chance to reincarnate into another world along with "One wish". After an indeterminant time, Arthur finally made his wish and thus his journey starts in a world of Magic. With his God-given abilities, what will Arthur do in his new world? Continue to distract himself from the sadness of losing his parents? Will he use his powers for good or evil? Will he become a hero or villain? Will he be able to finally move on from his parents' death? ================================================================== Discord Link --> https://discord.gg/4QJVKcSTjd ================================================================== Note: The cover was made with Canva ai ==================================================================

Start Of Something Grand

The Gate he opened was in front of a type of tree he previously saw and wanted to acquire.

He didn't know the name of it, but it's pure white color was exactly what he wanted

Unfortunately, it seemed someone, or rather an animal, had decided the tree was its property.

Nevertheless, Arthur was determined to have the tree, so with Haste, Boost, Elemental Resistance, and Mana Sense now on. he ran in the direction of the tree.

He could have used another Gate to appear slightly further away from the tree; however, he would rather not take chances.

As for Teleport, Arthur was determined not to use that spell.

And thankfully, Arthur chose to run there himself because as soon as he turned his Mana Sense on he could see countless ferocious beasts.

None of them looked like normal animals, more like ferocious Magical Beasts he had seen in anime.

However, with his use of Mana Sense which allowed him to see the Magical Beast he easily avoided most of them except for four.

A rhinoceros with two flaming horns.

A rabbit the size of an adult kangaroo spewing fire with each of its kicks.

An adult head sized black and purple striped bee.

A three-headed snake, each with a different element: Fire, Earth, and Wind.

Even so they were easily overpowered by his Buff Spells enabling him to be faster, stronger, and resistant to their Magical attacks.

Not only that, he even implemented a theory Scarlet had created.

Using Haste and Boost to increase Mana Drain's effectiveness in draining mana.

During the process of Mana Drain, all he did was run around until they were deprived of all their mana eventually dying.

However, in doing so he did create quite a ruckus within that specific area alerting the three-headed snake, which had almost scared him into thinking it was a hydra if not for the fact it died even faster than the other Magical Beasts.

It was quite stupid or maybe smart because it didn't hesitate to use all of its mana for a single combined attack.

As for the ruckus and destruction that attack had caused was quite significant, but maybe the natural instinct of a Magical Beast had made the others aware that they shouldn't approach the area allowing him safe passage a bit deeper into the outer layer of Gaia Forest.

A few minutes of running later, he arrived at the area full of white trees; however, even with his Mana Sense he couldn't locate the Magical Beast which even now he didn't know what it looked like.

Since he couldn't find it, he thought it probably ran away or was outside of his range of Mana Sense and decided to forget about it and do what he intended to do from the start.

Walking up to the nearest tree, Arthur smiled before testing out another of his theories.

A theory which he had surmised before his death and subsequent transmigration.

He had always believed that characters in anime and novels barely touched the surface of Space Magic.

Space Magic in novels and anime is always touted as one of the rarest elements to be born with, yet it never felt that much stronger than other elements.

He was about to test whether a few of the theories he had concocted prior to him being able to use magic could work.

Since this was his first time trying his theory, he closed his eyes to concentrate on Mana Sense on.

He put all his focus two feet up from the bottom of a tree before casting a Gate horizontally.

CRASH!

BANG!

With a loud thud, a cleanly cut tree fell not too far away from him, while a beautifully cut tree stump, now remained proof of his ingenious usage of Gate.

With such an easy method to cut down trees, it only took him an hour or so to cut down 150 trees.

As for the leaves, he used the same method cutting it off from the top, leaving behind a pristine white log of wood.

With a contented smile, Arthur decided to call it quits for today.

Despite it only being 10:05 am, he still had other things to do on his to-do list.

Opening a successful library required more than just a fancy-looking building.

He needed employees.

Most importantly, he needed books.

Unfortunately, Heartfilia Capital only had a single bookstore.

If even the Capital lacked good books, he doubted the cities and towns under its rule would have any better options.

It wasn't that books were unpopular; they were too expensive for the common populace to buy.

For him twenty five Copper Coins for the Power System Of The Various Known Races and fifteen Copper coins for the Encyclopedia Of Known Blessed Spells had made him feel he was cheating the previous owner.

However, for the common populace three Copper coins can get them a nice rest in an inn and three freshly cooked meals.

And apparently renting books did not exist.

If you wished to read a book, you had to buy it.

"So, do you have any recommendations?" Instead of running around like a headless chicken looking for good books, Arthur thought he should ask Jiang. It was also a good chance to tell the Quan, Ren and Leo of his library; unfortunately, they weren't on break.

"Big Bro Arthur, if you want bookstore recommendations, I suggest visiting the bookstores in the Holy Light Theocracy. That is where I usually get my novels from."

Please enjoy and leave a review.

Collections and Power Stones are appreciated too :)
