9.Band of bandits

It was early night I had just finished eating with my family. I entered my room then

"My liege" Barbarossa popped out, then continued " I have found a band of bandits outside the capital, as you requested, my king why did you ask for me to find some bandits?"

"Oh-ah, training?" I didn't have a clear answer for the only thing on my mind was 'I want to fight' I had no actual reason to fight it's just to prepare myself for the future. Knowing that I was royalty, many will try and capture as a hostage, that's why today I was gonna train with some bandits. That was the excuse I was going with

"Let's go, Barbarossa" I was on my rooms balcony ready to jump from it

"Umu!" Barbarossa and I jumped off the balcony and slowed our descent using air magic. I circulated mana to my legs to strengthen them. I followed Barbarossa as we dashed through the town into the forest. Barbarossa was surprisingly fast, Fast enough that I didn't have to slow down.

A man was walking to a door connected to a small cave

The man had a well-built body and sharp eyes. He was wearing a sleeveless shirt and a sleeveless leather on top. His arms we're covered with scars showing that he has been in countless battles.

Inside the cave was a small blonde girl. She was tied up and had rope covering her mouth.

The girl had tears in her eyes. She had suppressed her tears in fear of being hurt

"Don't worry little one soon enough you will be of use"

Crash! Bam!

A ruckus happened outside

"What is it now!" The man clearly shows signs of annoyance. He leaves the cave and leaves the door open letting the girl see outside.

The man went and inspected the commotion only seeing

"A Brat?!" The man yelled

"Hmmm? I sent Barbarossa home after he told me that they had somebody captive…!" I noticed that a girl same age as me was tied up inside a small cave

So it was true after all, I'll need to reward him with some manga later. Barbarossa had an intense interest on manga to the point that I'd just tell him to go to 'Read Arthurian'.

"Hey untie that girl right now and I might let you live" I was waving a mass produced sword as I threaten them

"Brat! Don't mess with us!" One of the mans accomplice runs toward me from the side and tries to lands a punch on my face. I step back to avoid the punch then use the momentum of the man to counter attack

I hit the man on his stomach

"Guh!" The man gets pushed back. Using that space given, I slash the head of the man off. The mans head falls to the floor. The surrounding bandits pick up weapons but before they could attack me, I went and made the first move

"Trial Art: Circular demolition" Circular demolition; A technique where I charge up my sword with an average amount of magic then I sliced in a circular motion

8 men we're now down, leaving only the 6 other and their boss

The 6 men instead of attacking me at the same time, attacked in different intervals

"Hoh? Attacking me with different intervals to find an opening right? To bad you had to face me though" As I said that 1 of the 6 attacked me from behind. The man from behind horizontally slashed at my head. I duck from his swords path and counter attack with multiple thrust to the chest stomach then finally the throat.

I removed my sword from the mans throat then

"ORARARARARA!ORAORAORA!" I immediately attack the others left

I look left and right seeing only dead corpses

"Oh crap" I didn't notice that they we're all dead

"Bastard! Don't look down on me! Even if the others we're weak I'm still a master of the imperial sword style! AAAAAAARRRRGGHHH!" The man run towards me, then slashes downwards on my head. I step sideways to dodge

Woah! Fast

That man was unusually fast so I focused on why he was faster. I was dodging all of his slices while I was thinking, so I could clearly see his face getting tired, Then it hit me!

I see so this guy was constantly putting small amounts of magic into his body

It didn't really matter to me since when I arrived here I stopped putting magic into my body so that I could train my battle sense. So I made the decision to try a new way to use magic enhancement.

As I was dodging I put mana into my legs then compressed it, I then released it

"Wha?!" To the man I dissapeared, but in truth I was just fast.

The man noticed my presence to his back. He stopped like time was stopped, he stopped breathing, stopped moving, and possibly stopped being a man.

"Arrrgh!" The man performed a slash to me by twisting his body. I deflected his sword then cut of his head

"Hmm?" In the corner of my eye I noticed that there was a pile of money, weapons, wine, gems, and decoration

I'll take this!

"Hng!hng!"

"???" I heard some weird noise, then I remembered their was a girl about my age tied up inside the cave. I walked over to the cave and noticed that the door was open

Oh crap

I noticed that the girl there had tears in her eyes but more importantly she was tied up so

"You okay?" I casted [recovery] and [replenish] on her then untied her. The girl immediately moved back and was trembling

I sigh

"You had it tough huh? Don't worry I wont hurt you…!?" As I finished talking my legs buckled

The girl went over and helped me

"A-are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm okay"

"…kyou"

"Hmm?"

"Thankyou" the girl hides her face but I could still see that her face was red. So I gave a soft smile to calm her down, though I had the intention of calming her down her face went a shade of red darker

"Here" I hand a pouch and a ring to the girl

"???" The girl tilts her head in confusion

"This pouch has enough money to let you go back home and this ring is made in a pair so that if we are close it'll send out a signal that says that 1 of us are close and I gave it the function to protect you when you are in danger"

The girl takes the pouch and ring

"Um who are you may I ask?"

"Oh?mmm,you can call me Arthur" I gave a soft smile

"Arthur"

i tilt my head "what?"

"O-oh n-nothing!"

'Barbarossa pick me up my legs gave in'

'Yes,My king'

After sending a message to Barbarossa I tried to stand up, but I failed, so I tried on using air magic to make myself levitate

"… ohhohhh…OHHH!" I shouted in excitement when I succeeded on my 4th try

The girl clapped beside me in amazement

"Well see ya!" I levitated outside and put the treasure inside my [storage]. I sense someone to my left and saw Barbarossa there holding a book, it was manga!

"Let's go home" Barbarossa held me like luggage then flew back to my room in the castle. It was trauma inducing. My legs and arms flapped against the air pressure that hit me.
