Prologue: Rough Transfer

Life was going swell for a certain young man, Kaze Fubuki, a third-year at Hokkaido Wakkanai University, he was living a normal life away from his parents to study at some boarding school for his future. For the most part, he has no clue of what he's going to do after graduating college, probably going to some regular 9 to 5 job at a big shot company like everyone else. It was nothing special, and he didn't really mind for the most part. As long as he had some way to support himself and his family, he didn't mind being a corporate slave like everyone else.

Beep, beep, beep!

The sound of an alarm clock echoed within the dorm room, a nuisance if anything. The young man's eyes flutter open in surprise, instinctively reaching over to his side-desk and practically whacking the top of his digital alarm clock to make it shut up. It was a Monday, and it wasn't probably the best idea to stay up the night prior to playing video games and doing whatever an irresponsible student does best; procrastinate and hope for luck to stick with you.

But alas, the young man had to get up eventually. He may be a bit careless when it comes to time, but he's by no means lazy. He quickly springs out of bed, determined to get his day going. He set his alarm around 3 hours before the university's classes start, so he could lounge around after getting himself ready. In his sleepwear, mainly just a printed t-shirt complimented by some shorts, he heads to his humble 'kitchen'.

By a kitchen, it's only just a portable stove and some other kitchen appliances cramped into a corner of the dorm room to form what looks like a kitchen. It looks a bit sad at first-but it's something, right? This is mainly due to our aspiring young man here wants to cook his own food and prepare it the way he wants it. Nothing that can possibly poison him, and it's actually a lot cheaper and efficient to be like this, he believed.

But in any case, the college student would prepare something quick for breakfast: a few pieces of toast. It wasn't exactly the most lavish or filling meal, but it'll get him started for the day. It wouldn't take long, and a few pieces of toast was on a small platter he placed. He then started to dig in, occupying himself at this time by browsing his cell phone.

He wasn't that rich or fortunate to have the luxury of the best and latest phones, but it was something solid that he can get by. He was currently scrolling through a popular social media platform, Two-witter, looking at various posts and blogs while he was slowly consuming his plain toast. The posts were about the poster's daily lives, or an image of them doing literally anything. Maybe even a photo that would try to make the viewer laugh, a 'meme' using layman's terms.

Eventually, the young man finished everything on the platter and puts it away as he was going to get ready for the pain that is Monday. He heads into the comfort room, to change and generally prepare himself for the day ahead. What came out would be the protagonist of this story, Kaze Fubuki.

He's a young man who stood at an average of 5'8" feet, having a fair complexion. He has yellow eyes with a gentle gaze. And he has crimson red hair. Wearing a yellow and black patterned jacket on top of a printed shirt, and having a white scarf that keeps him relatively warm. He would only wear if winter was approaching, and would promptly be removed if it was in the summer season or a time where wearing something like that would be pretty unpractical.

Once he was done making himself look handsome in the mirror, our great protagonist finally heads out of his dorm room, a matching yellow backpack being carried on his back as he heads out. He turns around and promptly shuts the door and locking it with a key. Once he turns around again to start moving, he spots an unfamiliar cat that just happened to be behind him at the time. He swore that this thing wasn't behind him before, and it creeps him out. To add, this cat is very strange looking. It was glowing! And it was constantly changing colors like a rainbow. To makes things worse, the creature had a deadpan look and did not move a muscle. It kept on staring at the male intently.

A sudden creak of the door abruptly ends the silence, and the redhead turns to his right to see a good friend also heading out for today. To reassure that he is sane, our protagonist suddenly speaks up in a greeting. "H-Hey, you see that thing over there?" He questioned the other male, pointing to the general direction of the paranormal creature he encountered a short moment.

"...What are you talking about? There's nothing there, Kaz." The other male responded with an uncomfortable but forced smile, puzzled by his friend's sudden question. "Are you actually fully awake, or were you too busy reading some certain stuff, huh?" He added with a sly smirk of cockiness.

This is Sanzo Hisashi, a good friend of Kaze that he met during his first year of university alongside some other friends. He stands at 5'9", has black hair, a bit of a toned complexion, and usually has graded glasses on all the time. He liked pretty much anything mathematical, and an avid browser of various meme-providing sites that otherwise normal people would not find entertaining. And lastly, he's a huge pervert and often just sends Kaze and his other friends certain material that would often cause trouble if viewed in public.

But going back to the situation at hand, Kaze looked back to where the strange cat was supposed to be. Well, it's gone now, as Sanzo stated. Was Kaze actually going insane at this point? Or did his eyes play the biggest trick on him? Whatever the reason, he disregards it for now. He won't waste time thinking about something that can be overlooked easily.

"Never mind that, maybe my mind was just playing tricks on me. Let's get going, never hurts to be early." Kaze states as he looks back to Sanzo, hoping that the other male finds him insane or crazy at this point.

"Alright, let's go. Maybe we'll find that thing you saw earlier on the way." Sanzo replied with a bit of a mocking tone.

"I swear I saw something.. Well, whatever," Kaze said with a shrug, still a bit bothered by the whole ordeal though.

And with that, the two exit their dormitory building and headed for the university that was across the street. The two friends had a bit of small talk while on the way, but it was mostly about the night prior; when they spent probably 2-3 hours playing video games into the night. Once they arrived at the entrance, which was a standard double glass door. They enter, the halls were very quiet, understandable since they were at least 1 hour and 30 minutes early before the first bell rang.

They would then move onto their group's meetup place. It was in a secluded place in the university courtyard, a plain metal bench that was coated in baby blue paint. it could fit about 4-5 people, which happened to be Kaze's entire social group. They considered this humble bench something special to them. This is where they normally meet up during breaks, and after classes, if they have any plans for the day.

The two would sit down on the bench, resting their bags on their laps. But suddenly, the silence was broken by footsteps that were coming from behind them, approaching the bench.

"Hey, guys. You actually got some sleep from last night?"

The male would circle around the bench to present himself to the two that were already seated. He was carrying a metal bat that was being rested on his shoulder.

This is Idaina Senshi. He stands at 5'8", has dark brown hair, and a brown complexion. If they did not know any better, he would look like a gangster that would beat up the two easily. But really, Idaina is part of the social group that Kaze is in. He's into a lot of sports, mainly baseball, but is at the same time a very competitive gamer when it comes to some certain computer games.

And like on schedule, another male pops up behind them, also walking around the bench to present himself as well. "That was only you, Sen. I was busy being a janitor, making myself a valuable asset in the world." He retorted as he took a seat next to Kaze.

And last but not least, it was Mitsuna Otoko. He stands at 5'6", has black hair, and a lighter complexion. He's probably the most average person within the group, he's not into anything weird or does anything of the same scale. He likes pulling pranks on people, and it often causes everyone to laugh-or someone that's pretty mad. Either way, he means well in his actions.

While the rest of the group was conversing about the night prior, or some random topics that came to mind, Kaze was deep in thought. That cat bothered him since earlier, and he couldn't help but be somewhat paranoid from earlier.

But as he was thinking about this, he felt a sudden aching in his forehead. Like there was a drill trying to crack his head open forcibly. It was unlike any normal headache like it was slowly bringing him down to the ground. It was too much pain, and he clutches his forehead in instinct.

Soon, Kaze would feel the world going down on him, losing all strength within himself and collapses forward concrete pavement below. Expecting to break his nose in a few seconds, he did what he could to steel himself for the impact.

But alas, the most that he felt was a series of sounds and sensations that he couldn't recognize. It felt as if he was falling forever, within the abyss of what looks like a portal or a wormhole. Something out of an anime or sci-fi movie, and it was utterly mesmerizing.

And after what seemed like forever, he felt the relief of getting knocked out. Here he is, on the way to The Other World.
