CHAPTER 1

Tuesday, March 31, 2020, New York City, 7:30PM;

"Urg.. Urg w...why did you do this?!" Said a man holding his chest. He was profusely bleeding from the wound on his left chest. He looked at the front with terrified eyes. The man had dark and shaggy hair with stubble. He wore a police uniform.

In front of him stood a woman in her mid twenties holding a knife with both her hand. She had long dark hair and a beautiful face. She wore a long dress. The knife was covered with blood, probably the man's blood.

The woman had a crazed look on her face.

" ITS ALL YOUR FAULT ADRIAN!!!! IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!!" The woman screamed at the man, who was shaking due to the blood loss.

Suddenly she rushed at him with the knife aimed at him. The man named Adrian could do anything as he was already weakened due to blood loss so he couldn't move away from there.

This time the woman stabbed him in his abdomen. Both of them feel on the ground due the sudden rush if the woman and Adrian getting pushed which tripped him.

On the ground, Adrian was fallen with a knife stabbed in his abdomen. He was bleeding from both of his wounds. He was starting at the woman with tear filled eyes who sat on his abdomen holding the knife which was still stabbed in his abdomen.

"W...why why?! I loved you so much Mina!!!" Adrian said with tear filled eyes looking at the now named Mina. Mina was looking at him with a distorted look on her face.

"Why? WHY you ask? Because you were the reason my brother is in prison now for ever" She said with a cold voice looking at Adrian with a look filled with hate and despair.

When he heard this his eyes widened and he died on the spot due to the shock.

Darkness, Endless darkness. That was all Adrian could see. He knew that he was dead, but he hated that he had to die like that getting betrayed by the one whom he loved so much. He clenched his first in anger but slowly released them and sighed. He knew that there was no point in getting angry at what had already happened. But he was disappointed that there was no afterlife.

After floating in this endless void for who knows how long a bright bright light suddenly erupted in this dark void. So he had to cover his eyes. When the light died down Adrian opened his eyes and the thing he saw was a being entirely white without any features. This being had a humanoid shape but that was it. There were no eyes, no mouth, no orifices to see yet it felt like this 'white humanoid' being was looking straight through Adrian's soul. The mighty and majestic presence released by this 'white being' was unlike anything Adrian had ever seen or felt. It made him feel so small and insignificant like a worm in front of an vast and endless ocean. He felt like his life was in the hands of this mighty being and he knew that this being could exitnguish his soul whenever it wanted and there was nothing he could do.

"Welcome Adrian" The 'white being' said.

"H...hello!" Adrian said with fearful and with a shaky you voice. He didn't wanted to show any rudeness to this 'being' who could probably extinguish his soul in a fraction of a second.

" You don't have to be afraid Adrian. I have not brought you here to punish you or anything" The 'being' said with an amused voice.

"Although I have summoned you here because I have to speak to you about a extremely important matter" The 'Being' said with a matter-of-fact voice.

" First of all you have died, but I believe you already know about that. And secondly, the most important reason as to why I summoned you, and that is your karma and the shit life you had lived" The 'being' said.

" What do you mean?! I know I didn't have a great life but what has karma got to do with you summoning me here and who are you?" Adrian said in an agitated voice even though he was afraid if him.

"Ah yes, I haven't introduced myself. Well Adrian, I am what people normally would call 'God'. I am the one who created this entire cosmos and who sees the beginning and the end of everything. I am present everywhere and nowhere." The being said lifting both it's arms in a grandiose way.

Adrian didn't say anything as he simply watched the 'God' acting like this. He couldn't believe that he was in front of the 'God' the creator of everything. He tried to move but he found that he couldn't.

" You can't move because I have taken control over your body to make sure they you don't do anything stupid and listen to what I have to say to you. I have created this entire cosmos but I don't play an active role in its growth. I only act as an observer who sees the cosmos and all the living things present in it, blossom and evolve by each passing moments" The being said in a calm voice.

" But what has it to do with my life and my Karma?" Adrian asked narrowing his eye.

"Adrian you see, that karma is much more than you can think of. Karma is an important force of life and death. It is not something you can see our feel. But it exist and guides every action of a living being. Normally when a life is born, their karma is zero but throughout their life their karmic number fluctuate between positive and negative depending on multiple factors. But you have been an anomaly. In your entire life you been striving to do good and positive things no matter what. But everything you do doesn't matter because your Karma would never become positive and instead it would turn towards negative. So you had to suffer throughout your life even pulling the lives of other who have been dear to you" 'God' said in a solemn tone and looked at him.
