Spar with Ikeris
Ikeris continued to fly at a slow but steady Pace. Alex wanted to enjoy the feeling of riding a flying beast, so he asked his partner to fly slowly instead of its usual bullet-like speed.
Although Alex had once cultivated for over a thousand years, he mostly used flying swords and other flying artifacts as cultivators usually don't tame beasts for mounts because they had flying swords and the rest. Some could even fly by themselves after reaching certain stages.
This made the presence of flying mounts almost non-existent.
Mages, on the other hand, were different because not all elements had spells that allowed the mage to fly. Most mages depended on tamed beasts and summoned beasts to travel long distances, and cross through dangerous forests, and the vast seas.
Some mages also had seamounts but they were equally as hard to tame as flying mounts, or they could be said to be even harder to tame as sea monsters were unusually more ferocious than land beasts.
