Should I stall it or kill it?

"To hell with being low-key. These damned beasts have no respect!" Alex snared at the snake that was diving at him with its mouth wide open.

His eyes turned silver White as the space in front of him shook slightly and an invisible shield formed in front of him.

Clank!!

The open mouth of the green snake slammed into his space shield, creating a loud clanking sound. Most people were unable to look in his direction as they were being occupied by beasts too. Moreover, chaotic sounds were coming from all directions.

Still, there were a few people who paid attention to Alex, and seeing the snake suddenly rams into an invisible barrier came to them as a surprise.

The snake wriggled in pain on the ground, both of its longest fangs had broken due to the impact and it now had a bloody mouth.

Its red eyes stared at Alex with an intensified glow of fury as it could tell that this human was the reason for its pain.

Ignoring those closest to it, the snake once again slithered across the ground, heading straight for Alex to get its revenge.

'Still do not know when to stop huh?' Alex thought before stretching out his arm towards the rage-filled beast. His eyes once again flicked with the silver White shine of the space element.

The approaching beast suddenly stopped, more accurately, Alex's telekinesis stopped it. The snake felt an invisible force wrapped around its body as it was unable to move, it struggled fiercely in an attempt to break free but all was pointless as it wasn't even able to turn its body under the grasp of the invisible force.

Alex lifted the five-meter-long snake a few centimeters above the ground.

" In your next life, make sure to avoid your elders during a fight" Alex said before clenching his fingers into a fist.

BOOM!

The body of the guard-level snake suddenly exploded, sending a rain of blood and pieces of flesh everywhere.

"A sp-space mage"

Alex heard a shocked gasp from near him. He turned to the source of the voice, a few meters away from him was a tall man in a shiny silver uniform. Well, it could not be considered as shiny anymore as the uniform was already a bloody mess as dozens of beasts laid lifeless around the man. He looked to be in his 30s and had two guard swords in both hands.

Alex was able to recognize him right away. While he might not know the man, he could tell from his uniform that he was a student of the space spell hall from the academy.

The man stared at Alex with dazed eyes, as well as admiration in them. He was able to feel the energy of the space element when Alex had just killed the snake. He was a space mage himself but he was nowhere as strong as Alex, neither could he use the space element to such an extent.

Ptui!!

A brown blade suddenly tore through the chest of the man, shocking both him and Alex. The man looked at his chest that had been pierced through then raised his face to look at Alex once more.

Alex could see the fear and unwillingness in those eyes, those eyes that were hoping for a miracle to happen.

Chi!!

The blade was pulled back and the man fell to his knees, he already lost hold of his weapon and was now covering the gaping hole in his chest where blood constantly gushed out.

Behind the man was a brown mantis that was only a servant-level beast. It was only two meters tall so one could easily miss it.

The mantis once again swiped its sharp blade hands, shredding the man into pieces and leaving a mess of blood and flesh where the man once stood.

Seeing the man was finally dead, the mantis dashed at Alex, its speed was unexpected for a beast of its level but Alex wouldn't expect anything else. After all, it was a mantis, even ordinary mantis was quite fast, not to mention that this one was a magic beast.

Alex caught sight of three beasts attacking Lisa at once. She seemed to be struggling as fending off three beasts was already beyond her powers. One of the beasts suddenly pounced on her from behind, causing Lisa to fall to the hard floor. She was unable to move as the beast pinned her down firmly with its big paws. The other two beasts took the chance and dashed towards her.

Lisa's eyes turned watery as she struggled to break free from the paws but her struggle was pointless as the beast did not bulge. She searched for Alex in the chaos around her. In the end, she was going to die, even when Alex told her not to. But what could she do about it?

Alex shook his head seeing this, the event might have seemed long but it all actually happened within a fraction of second.

Alex stretched out his hand towards the mantis that was racing towards him, his fingers forming into a claw with his eyes turning silver with one again. He caught the mantis with telekinesis before turning back to the beast that was pinning Lisa to the ground.

"Catch" he muttered with a wicked grin on his face before hurling the mantis at the beast. He threw the mantis like it was an ordinary baseball.

SWOOSH!!

The mantis was unable to understand what happened, first it was going to kill a dumb-looking human, and the next second it was soaring through the sky like a bullet and it was unable to stop it. Hell, it could not even see clearly!

BAM!

The mantis crashed into the beast that was pinning down Lisa, sending the beast flying. Lisa, who suddenly felt the weight pressing down on her disappear turned to the side, only to see the mangled corpses of beasts in a pool of blood.

ROAR!!

The roars of the remaining two beasts reminded Lisa that she was yet to be saved. Choco was currently being occupied by three gorillas with horns on their forehead, it was unable to deal with them quickly and come to Lisa's side, even when it disregarded its own safety and gave up fighting, the gorillas would not let it be as the landed bone wrecking punches on it, forcing the earth elephant to go on defense.

SWISH! SWISH!

Two bright flashes appeared and made Lisa cover her eyes, when she reopened them, she saw Alex standing in front of her with a bloody long sword in his hand. She looked past him and was shocked by what she saw. The two beasts that were coming to attack her had been reduced to countless pieces, even their bones were not spared.

"Are you alright?"

Alex's voice brought Lisa back from her daze. She quickly got up and gave him a bow.

"Yes teacher, I'm alright. Thank you for saving me" she said softly.

" It's okay, just try to not get yourself into danger" Alex replied and stabbed his sword backward without looking, a beast that looked like a frog but stood on both feet suddenly appeared behind Alex and walked right into Alex's sword, causing the sword to pierce its chest, killing it on the spot.

Lisa was once again stunned by Alex's reaction speed. Had it not been that they were in a battle, Lisa would have thought all this was planned.

"Stay here, I will go help your… chocho," Alex said before disappearing. It wasn't that he teleported, his movement speed was just too fast for Lisa's eyes to follow.

Lisa turned to look at where Chocho was fighting the three gorillas, only to see her beast marching towards her while covered in wounds. As for the three gorillas, Lisa could see their bodies laying on the ground while blood gushed out from their necks, their heads missing.

WHOOSH!!

A whooshing sound and Alex was once again in front of her, his long sword was dripping with blood, but his clothes were as neat as if it was newly washed.

This gave Lisa a strange feeling. Alex was so powerful that not a single beast had managed to touch even a bit of his clothes since the fight broke out.

'Maybe he is even more powerful than the dean?' Lisa thought to herself

Teacher, are you a sag…" Lisa was once again interrupted from finishing her question by the arrival of the guild head.

Lisa's eyes went wide from shock and fright seeing the guild head's miserable look. His armor had cracks all over and he was a total bloody mess as his whole person was drenched in the blood of which some were his and the rest of the beasts that had fallen to his pistols.

The guild head stared at Alex in the eyes.

"You are a space mage, right?" He asked. He had only seen Alex deal with the green snake and mantis before getting distracted by whatever made him look so miserable, since then, he had been unable to watch the rest of Alex's fight so he was unaware of his sword mastery and shocking speed.
