Mediocrity Won't Do

Brax puts the Qi Breathing Technique back on the table and focuses on the Body Enhancing Technique, the Bronze Body Construction.

He opens the book and starts going through it. After finishing it, he closes it and puts it aside.

"Body enhancing technique is nothing like Qi cultivation but it's heavily dependent on it," Brax says as he understands how Body enhancing works.

Unlike the Qi Breathing Technique, Body Enhancement doesn't have any realms. Its effectiveness completely relies on the cultivation realm of a cultivator.

Body Enhancement is nothing but mastering the technique and perfecting it so that it assimilates completely with the body and as one's cultivation realm increases, the stronger their body enhancement reacts.

Of course, a cultivator doesn't need to practice a body-enhancing technique, but their body will be significantly weaker compared to someone who does.

So practicing a body-enhancing technique has become a norm for a cultivator as it will help them in the long run.

Brax is not concerned about the body cultivation technique, but he wouldn't practice it because there are better techniques out there. This Bronze Body Construction is just a basic technique, and it isn't as good as some of the average ones out there.

If Brax wants to practice immortality, he isn't going to do it with some basic techniques. He needs to find the best method.

Brax is disappointed by what he has right now. "I need to go to the manual hall to find something much better than the ones I have right now," Brax says.

He then looks up at the mirror and finally sees his face for the first time. "I have a good-looking face," he murmurs and then looks down at his body. "It's skinny but I can work with it," he comments as he sees that his current body doesn't lack any potential.

He has wide shoulders and long arms. They are extremely useful in a fight. But he has very little muscles.

He then pulls his trousers wide to see what's inside and is genuinely surprised. "Shit, I am hung like a horse. But what's the use of having such a big dick if you aren't going to use it?" Brax asks his previous self, as this body is still a virgin.

Brax remembers the early years of his previous life. He used to drown himself in pussies. He was young, handsome, and famous because of his intelligence.

He would fuck any beautiful women he set his eyes on. Whether she was single, in a relationship, or married, it didn't matter. A bit of flirting, light touching, and manipulation, if needed, would get most of them in his bed. Some required extra measures, but he didn't mind.

Soon all of them would end on in his bed with their legs wide open, moaning and screaming his name with all their holes filled, while some of their boyfriends and husbands were out there clueless about their promiscuous partners.

But as he got older, he slowed down and focused more on research and invention, but that didn't mean he gave up on sex. He had them but very less compared to when he was in his 20s to 40s.

After his inversion of the ageless serum, multiple elite actresses, supermodels, singers, and women from higher society threw themselves at him for a chance to acquire a serum for themselves, as being beautiful forever was now an option.

The previous Brax made this progress in a year when he joined the sect to become a cultivator.

The previous Brax joined the Eleven Mountain Sect to embark on a path of cultivation. Born in a mortal village, he knew he had no future there, so he decided to leave his village and head up north to join the Eleven Mountain Sect.

One of the big six sects of the Dharian country. He thought by becoming one of the sect members, he would become someone influential and powerful.

But he was skeptical. To become a cultivator, one needs talent and only about 10 percent of mortals have talent in cultivation.

And to his surprise, when he went through the selection process, he found out that he had average talent, which allowed him to join the Eleven Mountain sect. That day was the happiest day of his life.

The previous Brax was ok with mediocrity but the current Brax isn't.

Having average talent only allowed one to reach Core Creation Realm with a good Qi breathing technique and previous Brax was satisfied with it. He thought he would save up some money and buy a good technique in the future to advance further in his cultivation.

Most cultivators were satisfied with reaching the Core Creation Realm, as it would make them an elite in Dharian Country. Almost all of them had the same mentality as the previous Brax as he was influenced by them. He dreamed of living the same lives as these so-called elites.

But the current Brax is the most intelligent human ever to live. Mediocrity doesn't satisfy him. If having average talent only allows one to reach the Core Creation realm, then Brax believes there is something wrong with how cultivation is being practiced.

There are 13 realms to conquer and you are telling him that an average talent only gets to the end of the third realm?

Even someone who is considered to have great talent is said to only reach the peak of the soul-strengthening realm. Brax calls it bullshit.

Cultivators who are in Soul strengthening realm are considered very powerful beings who can destroy mountains in the eyes of common cultivators like previous Brax.

Then what about cultivators who are in the Ascension realm and above? Are they gods? And what about the last three realms? Is it just a myth?

Well, the previous Brax doesn't know much. All his knowledge comes from books he read and rumors he heard. In the current landscape of Dharian country, the strongest cultivators are of the Soul strengthening realm, which includes the emperor of this country.

There are, of course, cultivators stronger than that, but in other countries, countries that are bigger and more powerful. But of course, the previous Brax never bothered to look that far because of his mediocrity.

"I need to figure it out myself," Brax says and puts on his outer disciple sect robe that was issued to him a year ago by the sect.

Done with taking care of his physical presentation, he walks out of his adobe, ready to experience a new world.
