Sebastian watched as the mongrel hopped on his bike and flew through the streets. His chest ached as the man vanished into the foggy streets of La Ber.
Something that he never thought he would be feeling after living for a hundred years.
He took a deep breath as he felt a tap on his shoulder. He looked to the side and saw that it was Calvin.
"Guess you have met Lucas. The kid...well, he's nice and friendly but he was a bit awkward around new people. He'll warm up to you."
Sebastian nodded at Calvin without giving much thought about it and joined the father and daughter tandem at the dining table.
"Eat up. I made it extra special for you guys."
Beatrice rolled her eyes towards her father before taking a bite of the spaghetti. Sebastian watched his girlfriend interact with his father and smiled at the sight.
He felt good to be back at La Ber.
Time passed by way too quickly and now he was at the front porch of the Caldrich home with Beatrice hugging him from the side.
"You sure you won't stay?"
Beatrice, who knew every bit of the secret Sebastian had been hiding apart from his family, looked at him with pleading eyes.
"No, baby. You know I can't."
Beatrice huffed and let go, muttering a soft "Fine" on the side. She pursed her lips into a pout which made Sebastian chuckle at the sight.
"But I promise to pick you up tomorrow morning for school."
"Promise?"
Beatrice pulled out her pinky finger, still pouting. Sebastian nodded and linked his pinky finger with hers.
"Promise."
Beatrice smiled and watched Sebastian run down the stairs and into the forest. She watched him run into the dense forest and slowly vanish through the foggy land.
Sebastian, whose mind suddenly shifted into remembering the mongrel from earlier, gritted his teeth and stopped. He looked around him and took a sniff when he caught a scent of lavender mixed with something weird.
He followed the scent, passing by some huge trees when he saw the same mongrel from earlier.
The man was talking to someone before walking away. He could feel the anger swirling through him yet unsure why.
He felt an urge to hate the sight of an unknown man talking to the mongrel.
'No, Seb! You can't. You already have Beatrice and you have already claimed her as your mate. There is no way you would bond with a dirty dog just because he imprinted on you.'
He thought to himself. He watched the meadow for a while before he began to run away from it.
He passed by some huge trees when he stopped and realized he was surrounded by two huge figures of some myth his father told him about — one in grey and one in ashy white.
"What are you doing here, bloodsucker? You're trespassing on our land."
A snarl from the giant wolf made him look at them with sudden fear in his eyes.
"A-Apologies, I didn't--"
The ashy white wolf growled at him, teeth-baring, claws out and ready to fight. He was about to speak again when a voice came from the other side of the trees.
"Don't hurt him! He doesn't know about the treaty!"
Out of nowhere, another of Sebastian's kind, probably the head of the coven, surged from the darkness of the forest with a female in tow. The two wolves barked upon seeing them.
Their eyes were drawn back at Sebastian, who was more confused than ever. They stepped back as the ashy gray wolf scoffed.
"Thank them later for saving you from being mauled, leech. Next time, watch where you're going."
A threat.
Sebastian had never felt the pressure of being threatened before even from the Ultvo — his kind's oldest clan.
Sebastian nodded in understanding and walked back to his parents' direction. His father tugged him away as his mother hugged him tightly.
"What were you even doing there?"
"Damian, I'm sorry. I was just–"
No. He couldn't tell them. Not until he was sure of it.
Damian sighed before smiling tightly at him.
"Well, when you are ready, let us know, alright?"
Sebastian simply nodded and looked back in the direction of the two wolves hovering over something he could not see.
Next time, when I see him again, I will corner his ass and ask him there and there.
Next time.

It was as if it never happened.
Lucas went on with his days brooding over something he knew he couldn't stop from happening. Sunday was just right around the corner and he wouldn't have his day get ruined for something so trivial.
He was walking near the forest trail of La Ber High School when he felt as if someone was watching him from afar. He stopped in his tracks and started looking around the bushes.
He focused his hearing just like the first time Alpha Timothy had taught him. Something that would be useful as he transitioned to the being that he would be for the rest of his life.
His surroundings were quiet and eerily still. Something that the forest had never done before.
Something's wrong.
It felt like something was there but I am not sure what.
He opened his eyes and looked around again before sighing. He shook the thought of being stalked when he reached his favorite place.
His back landed on the pillowy grass of the meadow as he took a deep breath and slept through.
Unbeknownst to him, near the bushes and behind the giant trees, lay a certain stalker. Sebastian couldn't help but feel protective of him, which infuriated him even more.
He waited behind the trees until Lucas had finally woken up and walked home. Sebastian stopped at the space before the treaty line and huffed.
This line.
He hated it.
It was the only thing keeping him away from the mongrel.
Contemplating whether to walk home or watch Lucas from afar until he properly reached home, he saw the man that the mongrel was talking to before.
The man emerged from the huge trees, just behind Lucas, making the mongrel jump at the sudden appearance.
"Oh, Tim! Hi, what are you doing here?"
Sebastian felt his heart ached at the sight of the mongrel giving the other man a sweet smile.
Timothy, who gave the youngin a reassuring smile, turned his attention towards where Sebastian was hiding.
"You are not supposed to be here, bloodsucker."
Does it sound too familiar? Sorry for any similarities from any books. I can assure everyone that this is not a fanfiction.
