Dim eyes

At a distinct corner, near a huge pool with around 10 people enjoying their well deserved break and celebrating their friends birthday, you can observe two eyes deeply staring at each other. For both of them the only thing that existed at that moment were each other, they were engulfed with each others' scent, their eyes and that magnetic tension. There was only one diffrence in what they both felt -

Eden was looking with passion, love but a tinge of cautiousness and Scarlett had love and a carefree look.

Eden never saw her so carefree and was sure that it had everything to do with her being drunk. For a person who already fell deeply for her, this new gaze from her was unnerving and making it very hard for him to hold on to his ground. Hence with a lot of difficulty he tried to pull his gaze away from her and take her to her room.

After a few moments when they entered her room, he helped her to bed, covered her with a blanket and adjusted the temperature and increased it as she likes. Then he took a seat on the bed beside her head just staring at her and patting her head so that she falls asleep.

I believe many thought that they would share a drunken kiss, but even though Eden loves her he never accepted it himself he just got to a stage where he knows he likes her and is attracted. Above all he respects her a lot, so he would never loose himself and kiss her when he believes she trusts him, loves him but isn't in a stage where she wants to get closer than they are friends and the mentor-mentee relationship.

He himself didn't know how but while staring at her, he fell asleep by lying his head on the headboard.

As the rays of sunlight fell inside the room and illuminated it by peeking in between the curtains, a beautiful girl with grey eyes opened her eyes. She found her head on the lap of Eden and fell in the thought of what happened. How much ever she tried to remember her last memory was of sitting by the pool after playing pool volleyball and drinking with Emily her best friend and Eden's sister. More than worry about what happened the other night, she was surprised with herself how she for the first time in her 26 years of existence got drunk. And while helping Eden lie on the bed the only thing running on her mind was how much she trusts the people around her the other night and how much she depends on Eden that she felt she will be protected. The thoughts on her mind scared her more than putting a smile on her face.

Since all her previous experiences were telling her that she needs to just walk away. And frankly our Scarlett has seen so much in her life that she has no more guts, so she was turning aside to get out of bed. But she felt an arm pulling her and she fell back on bed. She was looking at his perfectly shaped almond blue eyes with a question mark in her mind.

As she was so deep in her own thoughts, that she didn't notice that from a while now Eden was awake, he woke up when she was helping him to lie on bed. He still chose to stay quiet as he knew her thoughts would have been everywhere and he felt the need to give her sometime. But when she made no sound even after a few minutes he opened his eyes and stared into hers. He could feel her worry and knew exactly what was running in her mind so before she chose to ran away on instinct he pulled back.

He took a moment to calm down and said "Don't go, I know what you are thinking and if you want I will pull back but please don't disappear as I know I can't take that again". His eyes dimmed and that clear worry in his eyes moved her heart.
