“Great. With regards to our financial situations, maybe we can open up a joint account or something. We will both contribute to it and use the money inside for our daily expenses. You have to promise me one thing, though.”
“What’s that?”
“Allow me to pamper you. I love providing you with material things, and I’m sure I’ll enjoy taking you to expensive places, including trips to some other countries. Think of it as a fair exchange. I can’t live without you. You’ve given me the one thing I want the most.”
“Which is?”
“Your love and affection.”
“That still doesn’t sound right to me,” David said.
“It does to me.” Tobias gripped David even tighter. “I love you so much, babe. Let us work on our relationship the best way we can.”
“It won’t be easy.”
Tobias shook his head. “As long as we’re together, it will be worth it.”
David beamed at him. “You’re going to make me cry. Damn it.”
Tobias turned toward David and pressed a gentle kiss on his boyfriend’s forehead. “I love you.”
