Chapter 11: Who’s the Caller

November 3, 2020. 5:00 AM.

It was one cloudy day, Saul woke up and rose from lying down. Azazel was

deeply asleep even if he was sleeping uncomfortably at the floor. Saul went straight to his

bag and got clothes to take a bath. When he was done, he got dressed in his red shirt with a

white detail of a skull at the middle and his black slacks. He wore his outworn school shoes

as well. He opened the door and left his apartment, went down the steel stairs, took out his

bike's padlock, and finally rode his bike to work. While he biked in a street that was quiet

and peaceful, the cold breeze passed through his face. Saul figured that he should buy his

school uniform and new black shoes. Azazel had no proper place to sleep, so he thought of

buying him a bed for him not to be annoyed from working at Saul's home. When he arrived

at WagDu, Saul parked and locked his bike and went in. He went straight to the Locker

Room to wear his uniform, when Cynthia saw him.

"Good morning, Ms. Cranz." Saul greeted.

"Good morning too. I think Tia's late today."

"It's still early, why can you say that she's late?"

"Because you arrived early. You arrived before her, that's why she's late."

Saul finished preparing himself and went out to fix the chairs. After a moment, Tia came

wiping her eyes.

"Good morning, Tia. Why are you late?" Saul greeted Tia.

Tia did not reply and simply looked at him while walking her way to the Locker Room.

She hasn't reached the cashier when suddenly, Saul was instantly in her way.

"W-what are you doing? What happened? I swore, I just saw you there earlier."

Tia said confused.

"Why are you crying? Did something happen?"

"N-nothing, this is nothing."

Tia passed at his side and went to the Locker Room. She took quite long before she went

out, because she was trying to fix her appearance, so that she didn't look like she cried

when she faces the customers. Later on, the three new recruits arrived. Ms. Cranz

welcomed them and called Tia and Saul.

"Meet Caitlin Rinehart, Tyson Marchi, and Jamie Glass. They are our new

recruits." Ms. Cranz said as she introduces them to Tia and Saul. "The reason why I made

them work today is for them to practice and since we are only open until noon. This is

Caitlin Rinehart, she has experience with cooking and just needs a little more training.

Tyson Marchi was a waiter in a hotel, he decided to quit his job because he was going to

move houses, and now, he's finding a job here, that's why I hired him. Lastly, Jamie Glass

is a cashier in a convenience store in her past job. Tia and Saul, you guys teach them our

rules and how our system goes. If you are able to do so, I will dismiss you as early."

"Hi, nice to meet you three." Saul and Tia said to the new recruits and shook their

hands.

"I hope we all get along." Saul said.

After they shook hands, they went straight to work. Saul taught Caitlin since he was in

charge of the Kitchen, and gave her tips and techniques for cooking. Tyson on the other hand was cleaning the tables and the windows. Tia was handling Jamie as she teaches her how their cashier works. After waiting and preparing, customers have finally arrived and they successfully assisted them. Because of this, Cynthia was happy with Tia.

"Just like what I said, I will dismiss you early when you do everything correctly.

Go on, prepare and get dressed. You can all leave and go home." Ms. Cranz said to Tia and

Saul.

"Thank you Ms. Cranz!" Tia and Saul said.

They immediately went to the Locker Room and was excited go home that Saul and Tia

were pushing each other to know who get to use the Room first. Later on, Saul was able to

go in and Tia let him. While Saul was dressing up, Tia opened the door. She saw Saul's

buff body and blushed right away.

"What do you need? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"N-n-nothing, I-I just wanted to k-know if you w-wanted to come with me to the

m-mall." Tia said embarrassingly looking at Saul's body.

"Sure, when you're finished changing, we can go."

"H-huh? What do you mean?" Tia asked while she slowly took off her shirt.

"Hey! Why are you taking your clothes off? Of course I'll wait for you outside

while you change!" Saul said shocked.

"Oh, I didn't know!" Tia ran out.

When Saul finished changing, he called Tia to use the Room. Tia prepared and wore makeup. Later on, Saul knocked on her.

"Are you still going to take long?" Saul asked.

"Wait, I'm coming out."

Tia left the Room wearing a green dress and was a good match with her orange colored,

short hair.

Saul made Tia ride his bike with her on their way to the mall and when they

arrived, they went to a Restaurant and ate. Abruptly, Tia's phone vibrated and when she

reached for it in her bag, there was someone calling her.

"Uknown number"

Out of curiosity, she answered. "Give it to Saul." The caller said who had a creepy deep

voice.

"Hello? Who is this?" Saul asked the caller.

"Someone who knows the great Devil and the savior." The caller said.

Saul was worried because the caller knew Luna. But despite this, he stayed calm.

"I am also the one who's planning to kill you one day, you'll see."

"The voice of the caller sounded like he's in a dark and empty place because of the echo. It

must be a demon." Saul said in his mind, thinking wisely who the caller could be.

Tia looked at Saul and was confused why he looked infuriated. Saul noticed Tia looking at

him.

"There really are strangers like this, huh? Hehehe" Saul told Tia. "I'll just use the

Restroom."

While Saul was in the hallway to the Restroom, he slammed the wall using his

fist, it got broken but luckily, no one saw him. He tried not to slam it hard enough that's

why his fist just sunk into the wall and cracked a bit. When he went out, he went straight

back to Tia.

"Come with me to the Appliances Store."

"Uh, Sure." Tia answered concerned.

They walked their way to the escalator and went down to the Appliances Store. The first

thing they saw was the refrigerator and sofa. Saul remembered that he needed to buy things

for his home, so he bought a refrigerator for his food. They went to the area full of foams

and bought one for Azazel, as planned. When they finished purchasing Saul's needs, he

asked it to be delivered to his apartment. He also reached for a letter to give together with

the refrigerator and foam for Azazel to pay for it.

Azazel received the delivery and was confused for a while, but when he sa Saul's name, he

got it right away and placed it in the room. He was also excited and happy to see that he

has a foam to lie down to already. Before they left the mall, Saul remembered to buy

Azazel clothes and to buy his uniform and shoes. There were plain shirts that caught his

sight, so he bought three plain white shorts, three uniforms, and black shoes. Everything he

paid had a total of 5,000₭. Saul got his purchased items and left the mall. Saul was about

to bring Tia home but she was embarrassed to. But, since Saul was convincing enough, he

still did. They arrived at Tia's home and she hugged him before leaving.

"Thank you, Saul." Tia said.

"For what?"

"For coming with me."

In Saul's mind, the only reason why he went with her to the mall is because he needed to

buy things as well.

"That was nothing hehehe. As long as it's you." Saul said. "Good night, Tia. I'll

go home now, it's dark and I need to go back to my apartment."

"Good night too, Saul. Take care!"

Saul left and rode his bike. He was nearby the apartment when a shadow blocked

his way.

"You look happy, Dark Devil Saul." The shadow said.

The shadow somehow pushed him and his bike was forced to the wall.

"Luna's next." The shadow said, laughed in an evil way, and left.

Saul immediately rode his bike and zoomed his way home. He alerted Azazel and told him

to be prepared because there is another entity that was able to enter the human world.
