Chapter 10: Lucky

A man in his 30s - 40s was in a cave right now, his name, Shao Kang the newest member and elder of the Everlasting Divine Sect. Just a few minutes ago he was involved in a fight, although he tried to flee they chased after him. Therefore having no other choice but to use a spacial gate to escape, his companion the ethereal dragon Hao Cao made it possible for him, saving him from a fight.

"Hao Cao… Are you here?" He asked in the darkness, then a little light ball appeared in front of him, after a few seconds the light expanded and Hao Cao appeared.

"Yes, but I need a bit of time before I can use a spacial gate again. So, if anything happens you need to rely on yourself, or call me to fight, though it wouldn't be too convenient." Hao Cao explained while looking around, expanding his senses he then spoke with an enthusiastic tone:

"Shao Kang! We are only a few hundreds kilometers away, not just that, this is a simple cave. We can easily destroy it and make out own path out of it." As he explained Hao Cao flew towards a stone, he then opened his mouth and a relatively big blast came out of it, destroying the ceiling of the cave.

Shao Kang who was a little shocked since everything quite fast then realized as he flew out of the cave, of course Hao Cao followed him.

"We are in the Nine Fiery Dragon Forest, its quite close to the empire only 200-400 kilometers depending on which way someone takes. However, this forest is not just one of the most fierce areas of the entire empire, it also belongs to the Nine Fiery Divine Sect.

One of the big three holy lands of the azure dragon continent, or one of the big 3 sects." Shao Kang explained, it was natural for him to know all of this since he was apart of one of the 10 royal families of the empire.

Hao Cao looked at him and then said:

"And what are the other two?" Of course he was quite curious, especially when Shao Kang explained to him that there were 3 holy lands and 2 beside this "Nine Fiery Divine Sect."

"One is the twin dragon association which has many branches, and 1 main branch in the continent. They have already been apart of this continent for quite a long time even longer than my Shao family which has existed approximately 3.000 years already.

They are providing mercenaries and other things, like spying or information gathering. As long one has enough money one can even hire assassin strong enough to annihilate a whole royal family, although the price has to be exorbitant high.

The other holy land is the Azure Dragon Sect, although it has been inactive for about 2.000 years now, its still alive and mysterious. Legend say that they have immortals in their sect and are always cultivating low-key.

The Azure Dragon Sect is also an ancient sect that most definitely created the Azure Dragon Continent, it hasn't been confirmed but since it would be logical most people are quite certain of it.

Both posses intimidating power, although only one is really active.

However, one must know that the Nine Fiery Divine sect is a extremly active sect always dispatching their disciples for dirty work like killing and assisting other provinces in wars. They calling themselves righteous sect. But their actions are the most opposite of what they claim to be." Shao Kang explained as he looked around checking if there are any beasts or disciples belonging to the Nine Fiery Divine sect since this would complicate everything.

"There are non, we should arrive soon at the empire, if we can travel with the high speed before." Shao Kang added when he was certain that there was nothing. Hao Cao wasn't talkative since he was regaining his power again.

At Tyron and Le…

The two of them arrived in front of a big mountain range, there were at least dozens of gigantic mountains, meanwhile on the ground there was even a little forest that wasn't even shown on the map. And if one would stand in front of this valley one could understand… the forest was barely seeable since the mountains did cover most of the ground attracting most of the attention to them.

"So this is The Valley of gods…" Le murmured while looking upon all of these mountains.

Le and Tyron then descended from the skies as they wanted to look around the ground, seeing if it was even possible to climb the mountains. As soon as they stepped on the ground a beast suddenly attacked them from behind.

It was a 2 winged phoenix eagle. It was the resemble of that of an eagle however its bloodline was directly from the phoenix therefore it was exceptionally strong dominating the skies and a perfect tank due to its strong regenerative powers.

It had two wings, each was 2 meter wide and was full of beautiful red-orange. And it had long sharp fangs… but as soon as it tried to sneak attack Tyron, he turned around and reached out with his palm.

The eagle then found itself in a black world again, the world then slowly crumbled as the legendary phoenix descended from its fire throne. Its majestic eyes then pierced through the eagle like a dagger of an assassin.

"No one can touch the overlord." The phoenix then spoke as suddenly the eagle perished in front of Tyrons eyes.

Not even being able to make a sound before dying the eagle had already turned into ashes, even its soul was perished.

"Damn, these beasts are only Qi Condensing realm beasts and still try to attack us, courting death." Tyron said proudly while looking at the ashes of the eagle in an arrogant fashion. Le couldn't help but shake his head and grin, this friend of his was really overbearing…

After that no other beast tried to get in their way since beasts that reached some prowess had also some intelligence and knew when to attack and when not, this time it was definitely don't attack

Le and Tyron then walked around for quite a while as Le and Tyron nodded and both said in unison:

"The Valley of Gods from now on belongs to the Everlasting Divine Sect!"

The first arc is emerging… just like the secondary sect…
