Chapter 33: Kana's First Official Rift Part 1

Kana stands in front of the rift staring at it "so this is a higher B rank rift huh?"

Akemi walks behind Kana "wait a second Kana, slow down"

Fumiko walks behind Akemi "she's like a kid"

Ken: "Then you two should get along well"

Fumiko: "excuse me?" She gets in Ken's face

Haru: "Stop it"

Akemi: "DO you three do anything besides argue?"

Kana looks at Akemi "hm?"

Akemi: "there are a few rules before you go into the rift"

Kana: "Rules? Why do we need those?"

Akemi: "That doesn't matter" he holds up one finger on his right hand "the boss is mine, do not touch it"

Kana: "What? You want to have all of the fun to yourself? You're shameless!"

Akemi: "Shut up! That isn't why!"

Kana: "Oh? Then wh-"

Akemi holds up two fingers "rule number 2 " everything you see inside the rift will be kept a secret"

Kana: "A secret?"

Akemi: "Yes, there are things I don't want to reveal yet, so I'll show or tell others when I'm ready"

Kana: "Hm, then why are you showing me"

Akemi looks up "hmmm" he looks back at Kana "because I feel I can trust you"

Kana eyes widen and she turns around quickly then folds her arms "I guess I don't have a choice then"

Akemi's Thoughts: "I can't exactly tell her she reminds me of Bell"

Akemi: "As long as you understand, let's go"

Everyone walks into the rift and the sun shines brightly as they step onto a beach

Ken looks down at the sand "I should have worn shorts"

Fumiko looks at the water "this would have made a nice vacation spot"

Kana: "are we supposed to fight crabs or something"

Akemi turns around "don't judge a book my it's cover...look"

Everyone turns around a sees a giant forest

Haru: "woah"

Kana: "do we head that way then?"

Akemi: "Not yet, we should wait here to see what appears first"

Fumiko turns back around and sees something in the distance over the water "hey, what's that?"

Everyone turns around and sees the figure moving closer to them

Ken: "is that a person?"

Haru: "I doubt it, people can't walk on water"

Kana looks closer "is that a shark?"

Akemi: "A shark above water and not in it?"

The shark gets closer

Ken: "it is a shark"

Dozens of sharks appear behind the first shark

Haru: "there's more"

Kana smiles "good" fire forms around her arms and she hits her knuckles together then gauntlets appear on her arms

Dozens of orcas and different kinds of sharks appear

Akemi whistles "all at once?"

Fumiko: "why are they above the water though?"

Ken: "This is weird"

Akemi: "Hey"

Ken Fumiko and Haru looks at Akemi "hm?"

Akemi: "there are a lot of enemies, so you can go wild"

Ken smiles "really!?"

Fumiko: "are you sure?"

Akemi: "well it is a higher B rank rift so why not? Just remember, the boss is mine" he looks at Kana "try to keep up"

Kana: "keep up?"

The fishes get closer

Ken: "about time"

Fumiko runs and jumps above the water "race ya" the water under her turns to ice and she start skating toward the fish

Ken runs after Fumiko "You cheater!" He jumps into the air and fire appears below his feet as he flies behind Fumiko

Haru walks to the edge of the water "Those guys are always so competitive" he reaches on his waist with his right hand and pulls out a black pistol

Lightning surrounds Haru and swirls around his right arm

Haru: "But, I won't lose either" he points the gun at the fish and a big ball of lighting forms in front of the gun

Haru: "boom" he pulls the trigger and his arm gets pushed into the air and the ball of light flies towards the fish quickly

The ball of lighting goes between the fish and electrocutes them

Ken looks back at Haru "so you're joining in too huh?" he flies high into the air and he raises his arm downward at the fish "I'll have to try hard then" his hand glows red and a huge flame blast comes from his hand

Fumiko: "Ack!" She jumps back and skates to the left "hey watch it!" she looks at Haru's and Ken's attacks "oh that's how you guys what to play it?" She skates through the fish and the water around her turns into giant ice shards piercing the fish

(Watermarks...shame)

Kana stares at them

Akemi: "They really are going all out aren't they?" he looks back at Kana "aren't you going?"

Kana looks at Akemi "I would but...How am I supposed to fight with them over there?"

Akemi: "You can't get over there? Well that's to be expected, maybe you will just have to wait until we go into another rift"

Voice from behind Akemi and Kana "Fweuioes shayr, ae hyretruderos(There they are, the intruders)"

Akemi and Kana turns around and sees dozens of wolves standing on two legs, with leather armor, and holding weapons standing at the edge of the forest

Kana: "there are monsters on land too?

Voice: "Myghll sham!(Kill them!)" they run toward Akemi and Kana

Akemi steps back "you can take them, I won't lift a finger"

Kana: "Really? Then leave this to me" she runs toward the wolves and punches the first one in the face, sending it flying toward the other wolves "bring it on" she bounces up and down

Voice: "Nheve sham! (Get them!)" they charge at Kana

Kana punches them one by one and they fly into the air

Wolves: "GAH, UGH, AGH"

A wolf jumps into the air with a spear

Kana spins to the left and punches the wolf

The wolf flies back

Another wolf runs towards Kana

Kana grabs the wolf by the throat with her right hand "oh?"

The wolf spits a needle at Kana's face

Kana tilts her head to the left dodging it but it scratches her right cheek "what?" She looks at the wolf

The wolf smirks

Kana's eyes widen "you!" She punchs the wolf in the face with her left fist and it's head explodes

The wolves keep rushing Kana

Kana: "that's it, keep coming"

Haru walks behind Akemi "she looks to be having fun"

Akemi: "Yeah, well"

Fumiko: "I killed more than you!"

Ken: "you liar! Do you see how many I burned to a crisp!?"

Fumiko: "do you see how many is frozen by my ice!?"

Ken and Fumiko gets face to face while walking toward Akemi

Ken: "we'll have Akemi count them, so there's no biased"

Fumiko: "fine by me!"

Akemi: "Don't put me in your arguements"

Ken looks up and sees Kana throwing a wolf "what are those"

Akemi: "some enemies that came from the forest while you guys were fighting"

Ken: "More came? Can we fight then too?"

Akemi: "No"

Ken: "dammit"

Fumiko: "they keep flooding from the forest, are you sure?"

Akemi: "positive"

Kana's Thoughts: " my arms are feeling heavy" she blocks a club "was it because of that needle?" She falls to one knee

A wolf with a sword runs to Kana while it's sword is raised in the air

Kana closes her eyes "shit"

CLANG

Kana: "huh?" She opens her eyes and sees Solace standing in front of her "who"

Akemi walks toward Kana "you got careless, I knew this would happen"

Kana looks at Akemi "Akemi? Who is this guy?"

Akemi: "Don't worry, he's on our side" he looks at the wolves "my turn" he smiles and a giant shadow appears under Akemi's feet "wake up..."

Window: "Call Of The Dead Activated"

Monsters start coming from the shadows

Kana looking around "What? What?"

Akemi: "...Kill them"
