Chapter 82. Dogs Will Be Dogs

Alaric clenched his fist. He was tired of all their blabbering. He could understand his friends point of view. Everyone would think so. No one cultivated when unconcious. What angered him most was the fact that Aurora almost begged.

He heard James was about to speak. Their voice had turned into an irritating sound in his ears. Clenching his fist, he created a wind vacuum infront of his fist such that there was no resistance in the air.

James had not even felt the punch on his stomach. He was speaking on top of his voice midair. He scoffed and laughed lightly.

"We are not scared of y..." James was still blabbering not aware that he was flying. He was silenced when his mouth sprayed blood.

He fell on his butt. His eyes were those of disbelief. He looked around to see the confused look on everyone. It seemed that he was not the only one who did not know what was happening.

Alaric did not stop there. The last time he had fought them, two of them had acted smart and ran away. He was in need of Karl and Zeddy. They had to taste the weight of his fist.

Instantly he punched at Zeddy who was still confused. He was raising one finger trying to understand what was happening. Sadly for him, he realized that he was flying after he sprayed a mouthfull of blood.

He fell right on top of James sitting on him.

Karl was quick to react but he was not fast enough. The vacuum made sure that his punch reached its destination instantly. He was also sent flying and fell right on top of Zeddy.

Matthew was now taking steps back. He was looking for an opening to run away. He thought he was being secretive but he did not even realize that he was flying. He sprayed a mouthfull of blood immediately he landed on top of Zeddy.

"What a load of trash. You guys need to cultivate for two years without me cultivating in order to stand at equal footing as me," Alaric said. He then raised his hand pointing above them.

Instantly, an inscription lit up above them. They looked at him with pleading eyes but he could take non of it. The inscription glowed and lightning fell on them as rain.

The four screamed in pain begging Alaric to stop the torment but their pleas fell on his deaf ears. Their clothes started burning and their skin got charred. Their hair was standing straight and spiky.

When they were almost completely naked, the inscription disappeared. Looking at them, one could think that they had been collected from a sack of coal. Only the white of their eyes were the same.

"I congratulate the four of you for diligently spying on me and learning about my secrets. See how far that brought you," Alaric said with a sneer. He then turned to look at Claire.

"And now, what do we do to you witch?" Alaric asked.

Claire took a step back and turned to run. She stood no chance against any of the defeated four. What chance did she have on him who had defeated them? Absolutely not a single one.

She did not seem to realize that her feet were no longer in the air. Was it her or was the ground getting closer? She realized too late as her face slammed into the floor.

She tried to move her legs but she could not. She raised her head after failing to use her arms also. It was then she realized that she was tied up. Goldish ropes tied her hands behind her and connected to her legs.

"I finally thought that my friend had finally found his one but it turns out it was just a witch. I wonder how the information you acquired about him has helped you.

"Also, I have to thank you for had you not showed up earlier to check on him I would not have realized your plot. Now that I think of it, were you there to check on him or were you there to check on me?

"How does it feel to get caught after you have started catching feelings? I wonder how you could plot against him. There are things I cannot tolerate. 1. Its when someone threatens to take life. 2. When someone tries to harm onesI care about. 3. Its someone who jokes with my manhood.

"They are all punishable by death but today I am in a good mood. You should realize that this is the last time I am letting you off the hook. The next time we cross paths is punishable by death. Now all of you, scram!" Alaric said.

He was smiling as he watched them struggle to get up. He knew the effect of electrocuting them especially at their meridians. He had disrupted the flow of energy inside them.

It was going to take few weeks before their origin energy was flowing normally in their meridians. The binding ropes on Claire were also doing something lethal. Sucking the energy from her meridians.

She was in the third stage and he wanted to have her drop to the first stage. This reason was why they were currently immobile.

"Are you going to disobey the orders? Oh I forgot you can't all move. Maybe I should call your henchmen to get your useless selves of the stage," Alaric said.

He then turned to the crowd unperturbed and his eyes landed on someone in particular. Green hair and pale green eyes.

" Seth and your group, are you going to wait until their energy flow is completely disrupted so that you can get them of the stage? You all know what happens if the energy is left disrupted for long," Alaric teased.

In cases where the energy flow in someome was disrupted, there would be a spontaneous reaction when it collided with each other. In turn, it would lead to an explosion that would instantly kill the victim.

Upon hearing Alaric's words, a group of almost twenty guys rushed on the stage and took their respective bosses. Claire was carried by Zeddy's men. Alaric teased to chase after them as they fled.

"Dogs will always be dogs," Alaric said as he watched the gang climbing the stairs in super speed.

The entire room was silent. All this time, only Alaric had been speaking. No one had ever seen such a display of strength. It was one thing to defeat one of them but it was unbelievable coming from a peasant beating the four of them.

Somehow, the heavens had been biased. Looking at him, they could only suck in cold breaths. They had even forgotten how many times they had suck in cold breaths since he arrived.

He was smiling as if all the occurrences in the past few minutes were not his doing. He also seemed to not have broken a sweat. His breathing was still calm and his eyes were the calmest.

They watched as he went to Aurora and she locked their elbows. The way they were acting, it was as if they were on a honey moon. How could one be so casual after doing such? They now could see a future hero and his partner.

Alaric and Aurora matched down the stage and Rey followed behind them. People made way for them and escorted them with their eyes as they climbed the stairs for the first floor.

They were now leaning on the railings looking down at what was happening. Aurora was standing on his right. Rey was standing on his left. The silence had been broken and people had started enjoying the party once again.

The party itself was going to be unforgettable. It was more fun than they had expected. The turn of events was the best they had ever seen.

Alaric raised his head and looked at Rey.

"I have a deal to settle with you Rey, tell me, why did you dare touch Aurora. Didn't you have a girlfriend?" Alaric asked. Rey, instead of having a surprised look, he scoffed.

" You mean to tell me that you were awake and you did not even think of letting us know?" Rey shamelessly asked. Alaric could not find words to refute him. He could see people pointing at him every now and then and girls sending him seductive glances.

He stopped talking to Rey and turned to Aurora. She appeared to be the happiest. She kept receiving waves from her friends. Them seeing her like this made her blush.

She had refused their invitation to come to the party but here she was with the guy she had refused to attend the party because he was not.

"Give me one dance and we will leave," Alaric said and Aurora raised her eyes to look at him.

"It not yet time for a dance yet," she replied thinking that he wanted to dance infront of everyone.

"I mean when the time comes," Alaric said correcting himself.
