Chapter 13. Plight

In a hotel with a transparent glass, one could see couples seated together. Some were family with their kids and some just sat as group of friends. It was one of the first class hotels in the city. Here a meal was paid in hundreds of bloodstones. Some had shell fish served for them and others had beast meat. Others vegetables amd beans. Female waiters moved from one table to another holding a white tray. Each wearing a black skirt and white collar T-shirts.

In a corner were two boys. One thing they had in common was their height. One of the guys with reddish black hair kept staring at the female waiters whose skirts revealed their plump asses and thighs as they bent leaning on the tables receiving orders. His eyes were wide open that they could drop off. He followed each of their movements waiting for their turn to get served.

The other guy with jet black hair could only shake his head. He could not understand what his friend was drooling over for. He just sat waiting patiently for their turn. Then a female waitress turned to their side and started walking towards them. The other guy seemed to drown in beauty. The waiteress had buttoned her blouse to reveal her cleavage. One could see his hands clasped together like a shy child. These two were Rey and Alaric.

Rey was so lost that he did not even hear as the lady spoke with Alaric. He was lost watching her every curve. His heart beat in excitement as he watched the lady leave. He watched her move her ass swaying right to the left. He watched the lady disappear into the kitchen.

"I wonder when I will get older and have sex," Rey spoke still lost in thoughts. His hands on his chin his elbow on the table. Alaric slapped his back but his friend seemed to be entranced. A few minutes later, the lady came back carrying the meal Alaric had ordered. He had ordered all kinds of fish. This food was worth around six people.

Alaric and Rey dug into the food. Rey kept glancing at the waitresses s as he ate. They would often send him a smile and he would feel like he was floating. After around ten minutes, they had eaten all the food but Rey had barely eaten. Immediately they finished the food did Rey fall from the spell. He had been seduced. When he saw what they had eaten he almost collapsed on his seat. He looked at Alaric who still had that look that showed he was not yet satisfied.

"Do you know what we just ate?" Rey asked. Despair filling his voice. Alaric gave him a questioning look. But before even Rey could talk again, the waitress walked to them and placed the bill on the table as she sat on the table. Alaric looked at the bill and coughed. Two origin stones. "See that! Even I have never used an origin stone. We are dead." Rey almost cried. They had been taken advantage of.

This hotel was known for this. Those with weak cultivations barely could escape the spells of the waitresses as they seduced you. They would then make sure that you asked for the most expensive meal. Luck was on their side as for a matter of fact, if Alaric had fallen for the spell, they would have definitely eaten a meal worth ten origin stones. The problem was that Alaric as a newbie had not been aware of the prices for he would not have ordered the food.

The lady sat on the table close to Rey and spoke. "Don't you two have the required amount?" She spoke he hands slithering on Rey's thighs. Rey shuddered but he could not speak. "If you two can't afford it you can help us doing the chores for the whole day. We can then call that even," the lady continued.

" Hey lady am usually not impolite with ladies but am not a fun of being taken advantage of," Alaric spoke causing the lady's gaze to land on him. She slid on the table on her ass and got closer to him. She lowered her chest to Alaric's face and spoke making sure that all Alaric could see was her cleavage.

"And what makes you think that you were taken advantage of?" The lady asked her face almost touching Alarics. Her breath on his eyes.

"My mom always said that I should be good to girls but once I find a bitch I should just treat her as one," Alaric said as the lady stood up. Standing few steps back. Her once beautiful and delicate features darkening.

"What did you say?" The lady asked. Her mode shifting from anger to another emotion. Pain. Her face appeared like another single word from him and she would start crying.

"I tried to be polite to you once but just appears you dont deserve it. This hotel has entered my bad books. You all should have been honoured to have me but you just threw your chance through the window," Alaric said.

No one noticed the two twelve year olds slipping as they headed to the glass door. The two tip toed as they reached the door looking behind to see the lady still in a trance. They bumped into something soft yet hard in front of them but they still did not notice what it was as they tried to move to the side of the barrier. They suddenly felt a hand on their heads. Then a stinging pain as someone pulled their hair.

It was then that the two looked up and saw a man standing at 2 meters lifting them by their hair. His hair brown and long beards all over his face leaving only his nose, eyes and forehead unhaired. They wondered where the pain was coming from only to realize that their feet were no longer touching the ground. They tried to wiggle out but realized it only caused them more pain and they resigned to their fate.

The man carried them and opened the door to the kitchen with a kick. He held the two 5'3 boys like they were two bunnies and threw them inside. They were met by gazes of about ten pair of eyes. Eight girls and two men. The men wearing a white apron and also two girls wearing a similar white apron. The others were waitresses. If looks could kill then the two would have died by now.

"What an odd duo," one of the men spoke. Many would never beleive it that the two became friends today.

"Seems that today we are not going to do all the cleaning," a lady with pink hair spoke. The two felt their world collapsing on them. They looked at each other and now fully resigned to their plight as they understood what was happening. They looked at the mountain of dirty dishes on the sink and some were on the ground. This was supposed to be a stroll but what did it bring them? They stood as they picked the white aprons being offered to them. They helped each other tie them behind their backs.

"You know this is actually good news..." Alaric started and Rey nodded. Their tone and attitude changed even the ten were shocked.

"I even think this is a good idea though, dont you think we could eat forever for free if this continued?" Rey asked as he opened the taps and wetting the cleaning tools then picking yellow gloves. Scrubbing brushes, cleaning clothes and soap. Alaric was also doing the same. He picked a plate and started washing it. They gave a nonchalant attitude but deep down they were hurting.

It was already two hours but the dishes seemed to be coming from an endless source. Even their nonchalant attitude had disappeared. It turned dark and they were now cleaning the hotel. They had finished all the dishes. Cleaning the hotel would earn them their freedom. In a corner a group of eleven sat supervising them. They finally finished their work and ran off. They cursed their bad luck as they ran to the academy gates. No one knew if they would be granted permission to enter.

After almost 30 minutes of running they came to the gates. Alaric seemed to not be exhausted at all but Rey was different. He panted his mouth wide open tongue out bending his palms on his knees. He took around two minutes to catch his breath as they walked to the gate. It was a crime to enter past ten. And it was already midnight. The hotel usually closed at 10 pm.

The man at the gate who had told them to come back early saw them and their haggard looks and he could guess what had happened. But rules were rules and even he could not break them. Rey begged on his knees as he explained what had happened. The man laughed but he could not break the rules. Rey even went and his legs hugging them to try to beg. He could not imagine sleeping outside after all they had been through.

"Alaric why aren't you begging?" Rey asked. If he was not a man he definitely would have been shedding tears.

"Are some things not obvious. He would never allow us in until it 3 am. That the time one can enter. Don't tire yourself, or you can beg until then," Alaric said. Rey felt like he had been struck by lightning. But the next instant he started begging.

" I have never spent my night outside. I already explained what happened. How can a senior watch a junior suffer. Don't you see I don't have a sweater? What if I catch a cold?" Rey was not willing to give up.

Alaric went to sit on the ground leaning his back on the wall that surrounded the academy. He stared at the sky and the moon which ocassionally got covered by black clouds. It had been long since he counted stars.

"There are laws everywhere," Alaric spoke suddenly to Rey who looked at him. "Even the universe has laws it can never break. And that is what keeps it going. The law states that the sun must set so that the moon can shine. Even the stars have their on own. Could you imagine what would happen if the universe decided to let the sun light for extra hours?"

Rey and the man wondered where this was coming from and where it was heading. They looked at Alaric who was staring in the sky.

" But here is where it gets fun. These laws can be altered only that no one ever tried. They all are scared. That is why I plan on fighting against the universe. I won't let anyone take from me what is mine. I will crush every obstacle hindering me!" Alaric said clenching his fist...
