One last time

Wandering around the graveyard, Reese felt like someone's watching her. The moon was the only light Reese had as she came here in her best friend's grave. She gently caressed Faith's tombstone and there she laid the flowers she has to offer to Faith's grave.

"I'm sorry, Reese. I couldn't do anything about it, we had no other choice but to do it." Mahinang saad ni Kier sa tabi niya.

After the incident yesterday, Reese did everything to try to bring Faith back to life, she even went to desperate measures. She even fed Faith her own blood thinking that by making her a vampire was the only resort Reese could think of, but it failed.

"Lady Reese." Butler Sue came to her with a paper in hand.

The third elder might have done it on purpose, he brought Faith into this and that person might have seen her when she was not aware that she was a vampire.

"Was the picture frame of my parents moved inside the mansion?" Reese asked Butler Sue.

Tumango si Butler Sue. "Yes, Lady Reese."

Tipid na ngumiti si Reese sa alalay. "Okay, you may go. Thank you."

As soon as Butler Sue left, Reese looked at Kier and confronted him about the issue she discovered when she met the elders. He was the one who informed Reese that there were only two of them, when in reality, there were three of them. All in all, it was Lord Corbin, Alaric and Kirk.

"Why did you not tell me about the third elder? Sinabi mo sa akin na dalawa lang sila, and I don't understand why you told me that the third elder does not exist." Pagtatanong ni Reese kay Kier at bumuntong hininga. "And I kept on thinking if that third elder knows about the past I had that he got the guts to involve Faith with all this madness I'm in."

"I'm sorry." That's all Kier had to tell Reese.

Hindi makapaniwala si Reese sa naging sagot ni Kier sa kanya. His "I'm sorry" is worthless if Reese won't hear a clear and fine explanation for hiding the third elder. Alam na alam ni Reese na mayroong malalim na dahilan kung bakit tinago iyon ni Kier, pero ngayon na alam niya na ang patungkol dito, hindi ba't mas maganda na sabihin at ipaliwanag na lang rin nito?

"I need an explanation, Kier. Hindi apology ang kailangan ko." Seryosong saad ni Reese.

Nanatiling nakatitig si Kier kay Reese at bakas sa mukha nito ang pag-alipusta, sa ekspresyon pa lang nito ay alam na ni Reese na mahihirapan siya sa paghahanap ng rason sa nangyari. He was persistent in hiding the truth.

Reese bitterly chuckled and looked at Kier with disappointment. "Fine, if you won't tell me, I won't force you." Malamig na saad ni Reese bago niya tinalikuran si Kier.

She was about to head back inside the mansion when Kier suddenly spoke in such a cold voice.

"I really am sorry about keeping it from you, but I had my reasons." Panimula ni Kier. "But, if you want to know the reason that much, then wait until tomorrow- you'll know the truth."

He was the one who supported her all the way but Reese couldn't be able to finish it, she wasn't even able to express what she truly feels towards him. She used to think that it was actually a good choice not telling Severus what she truly feels.

She guessed that living under the care of the Chen family was partly a blessing. She gets to meet and face difficulties at the same time but despite all the trauma and torture, Reese gets the chance to be with Severus even in such a short time.

From the very start that she met all those people when she used to live as a human, she was thankful to have experienced it. She had learned a lot, but today is the very last time she could reminisce about everything.

Reese gently smiled as soon as she remembered how her marriage started and from that very day she never disobeyed the agreement she and Severus had until today, even though they were never married for real, Reese always sees it the same.

Funny thing is, she always wanted to part ways with him but things changed- her heart's decision changed.

Binitawan ni Reese ang pagkakahawak niya sa sing-sing at napatitig sa kawalan.

It won't be bad if she would get a last glance at the villa she used to live in before she forgets everything, right?
