~~~ Rasiel's POV ~~~
The darkness disappears after Patrick and I seem to have experienced the flashback together.
"Are... are you two alright? You stood in this disturbed bubble for like five minutes," says Ana, while hiding behind John, who probably stepped in front of her when the space started to disturb.
"No, you two stay back there," I say to her, then turn my full attention towards Patrick.
Who was no longer holding the note in his hand but the metal object we saw in the vision, while something like a blurred force field was around him.
Then I tell him while trying to push my hand through the shield, "Patrick... drop it. We need to be careful with this thing."
But he simply stares at it, while the aura in the room starts to be drawn towards him, as if waiting for a psychic to appear here…
"It's saying something... It wants me to free all the people here and open the doors. I think we can save everyone. I simply need to wish it," he says after a while, still looking like he's in a daze.
"The object has no mind... It's the tentacle freak with the suit that is telling you this. So, drop the object!" I say and hit against the force field.
*Crash*
But it retaliates with a shockwave and sends me flying backwards into the wall.
"What is this thing?" John asks, ignoring my wall-smashing and floor-kissing, but doesn't come closer to see for himself what Patrick is holding exactly.
"This object can manipulate space around it and create dimensional passages between places," I say as I stand up elegantly from the floor.
This piques Ana's hope as she asks, "So, a way out?"
"He mentioned a tentacle freak, and if I look at our friend there, I don't think it's so easy..." John responds, tightening his grip on his baseball bat.
I nod at them and can only watch as the next events unfold.
"Yes, I should open the doors..."
*Crack, Crack, Crack*
As soon as Patrick says this, the room walls start to crack until they reach the door the thing is locked in. It begins to shake until the locks and chains fall off, while the force field around Patrick starts to dim.
"When the blurry stuff around Patrick completely disappears, be prepared to run for your life, because hell will probably break loose after that," I warn them.
Ana looks frightened and grabs John's jacket, while he only nods. The door slowly opens, and we peer inside, only to see complete darkness.
Expecting an attack any moment I concentrate on my perception to react in time.
But nothing happens until the blurriness around Patrick disappears, and he seems to snap out of his trance at the same time.
"Ahhh! What the hell?!" he screams, as I grab him with my telekinesis, to catapult him towards me.
In the next moment a shadowy tentacle shoots out of the entrance and grabs the cube out of the air that was dropped by the screaming mentalist.
I catch Patrick and stretch out my hand towards it too, trying to get it as well.
---
We engage in a tug of war for a few seconds, while the being that had been hiding in the darkness decides to step out of its prison.
Then the room begins to darken as the soul fragments begin to seep through the cracks in the walls before swirling around the suit-wearing entity.
It had no eyes but moved its head as if it were scanning the room until it stopped and fixed its gaze on me.
"Patrick, get away from me..." I say, pushing him away. In the next moment, some soul fragments start to fuse with his back, creating more tentacles.
It uses the people it killed as weapons... it seems things are finally getting interesting. Let's see what it can do.
As soon as the tentacles are formed, it shoots them towards me.
*Splash*
I don't move and concentrate my attention on the object that is still held by both me and the creature in the air. So, it easily pierces both my knees, my heart, and my right lung, much to the shock of the onlookers.
The creature then turns towards the object and tries to pull on it, but since I am still holding it in place, it doesn't budge.
It immediately looks back towards me, but I am already grabbing the tentacles that had pierced my upper body and swing them to the side, dragging the creature along before smashing it against the wall next to me.
It lets go of the object, and I throw it back at the group of bystanders who are staring at me strangely for some reason.
Ana catches it, and I turn my attention back to the creature, which is now standing up. I rip the tentacles off my knees and step closer to it.
"Aaagh—" Suddenly, it looks at me and tries to scream, while somehow creating a sound without a mouth…
Leaving me no choice but to kick it back against the wall before it can burst my eardrums.
"Agh, yourself," I say and kick it again, while the wall starts to crack behind it, so I repeat the process with even more force, and the grotesque entity breaks through it.
It crashes down from the sky-high tower, while I take in the breathtaking view. Even the Staff members down there look like real ants now.
The only problem is that their boss seems to have regained control, and the "ants" have begun climbing up the tower…
So, I turn to Ana, who was holding the cube thing, and say, "We need to get out of here. Wish for an exit or something like that."
But she stares at me strangely and asks, "Wait a moment… weren't you just pierced right now? How are you alive after something like this? And where are the wounds?"
"It was only a flesh wound, so, it healed fast... Let's hurry up; the cavalry is coming."
"A flesh wound, sure…" John says, annoyed, and then walks to the edge, looks down, and continues, "They are really coming, and I don't think the suits will help this time."
Yes, because you left yours at the bottom of this giant pile of furniture…
Ana closes her eyes hearing him, while trying to do something, but for some reason, nothing happens.
"Let me do it. I could do it once." says Patrick with a guilty voice.
"Yeah, remind me again after we survive this to kick your ass for that," responds John, taking the cube away from Ana and handing it to Patrick.
"Remind me not to remind you," says Patrick gulping down, then closes his eyes to focus on the object.
The next moment the object gives an impulse, and the entrance to the prison of that thing starts to blur.
"It worked, let's go," I say to them and point at the door, which makes Ana and John look confused at it.
Patrick opens his eyes and looks around before asking, "Where? I actually wanted to summon a door here..."
...like when we entered the Ikea, Patrick, and also the others seem unable to see the blurry membrane that was at the entrance, even though they were able to see the force field.
"It's probably easier for the thing to make a connection to a place than creating a new object. And even if you guys can't see it, there is one, so follow me," I say to them and walk towards our portal out of here.
They shrug then start to follow me.
---
The daytime music of the Ikea store was barely audible from the tower. Luckily, we could hear it better now...
"You have to be shitting me..." says John in disbelief as we walk through the door.
Why? Well, because we came out of the same door that we walked through to enter the tower. And it wouldn't be that bad if not for the countless eyeless faces that stared at us…
In the middle of the swarm was the clearly visible suit-wearing entity, appearing unhurt from the crash.
"Oops..." says Patrick as he sees it too.
"Wh... what should we do now?" asks Ana, while I look up and see the Staff members who were climbing up the tower starting to climb down as well.
So, It was only a matter of time until we got completely surrounded. I sigh and say, "Let me try it. Maybe I can connect to it and get us out of here."
Patrick nods and hands over the thing. My plan is to connect to it with the Djinn's powers to get us out of here.
I grab it and can feel its strange aura starting to form a connection with me before...
*Crack, Crack* Before my body reacts to it and repels its advances, and the cube-like thing breaks in half in my hands.
It seems that my body didn't like that kind of connection…
*Crack, Crack, Crack, Crack, Crack, Crack*
Suddenly, the music stops, and the entire building, or in this case, dimension, starts to shake.
At the same time, cracks begin to form on the ground, wandering everywhere.
When the cracks reach the tower and the shelves, they don't stop there. Cracks appear on them too, and they begin to slowly break down as well.
It seems everything that the cube created is starting to break down...
"Oops... do you guys think this store has superglue or something like that?" I ask as I turn towards the others, who stare at me, not knowing what to say.
"Aaaaggggghhh!" Suddenly, a glass-shattering screech fills the air, making Ana drop to her knees, shaking heavily.
While Patrick and John manage to endure it but seem to be frozen in place, while shifting slowly their gaze towards the being that began to dash towards us, pushing and throwing its clones out of the way angrily.
If it wants that broken thing so badly, it can have it...
I throw the halves of the cube towards the enraged entity, and it catches them with its tentacles before attempting to combine them by pressing the halves together, but sadly, without success.
It tries a few more times, then stops and looks up at us slowly before screeching angrily once more,
"Aaaaggggghhh!"
Meanwhile, the staff members who had been staring at us until now dash forward.
It seems to be very angry about its broken toy...
Hey, guys!
Sadly, it's a late chapter because I had to rewrite everything after doc's decided not to save my progress...
But that is life...
Next time the fight against the swarm.
So stay tuned for more. ;)
P.S. I think this arc will be finished by Saturday, then we will continue with the SPN storyline and season finale.
