Game Over

I walk towards the suited figure and its companions, asking, "Are you ready?" before I take off my tactical vest and throw it to the ground.

Coming from a tribe where you hunted bare-chested and without protective gear that would hinder your movement, I am basically prepared for this hunt.

Until now, this creature hunted and fed on people. It's time to change that…

My prey is a suited tentacle monster and about twenty minions, at least for the moment, who knows when more of them will appear.

The leader points at me, and its clones start running towards me, while behind them, a tsunami of furniture and other objects comes dangerously close.

I stop walking, then throw my knife this time and remote control it to kill the incoming staff members. Thanks to their hollow bodies, the knife penetrates them like a hot knife through butter, and they fall one after another.

When only one big one is left, the creature intervenes and uses one of its tentacles to catch the knife from the air, so it was also time for me to intervene.

I dash towards the last staff member, evading its fist, then jump up and stab my machete into its neck before landing again and walking towards my real target, while the creature behind me collapses.

"Was that everyone?" I ask mockingly.

"Aaaaggggghhh!" it screams at me.

Which makes me chuckle, and I say as I continue advancing towards it, "That's your thing, right? You want to scare your prey, make them vulnerable, break them, make them an easy target, but if you can't, you are nothing…"

It slashes with its tentacles at me, but I use my perception and speed to simply evade them by shifting my body, without stopping my walk.

"Let's be real… you are not a fighter. These tentacles and clones are just gimmicks that you use to hide behind,"

My trash talk works, and its swings become clumsier, so I grab one tentacle and pull on it. This makes the creature stumble forward, and I use the moment to dash past it before swinging my machete to behead it.

*Slash* The machete easily cuts through its neck, and it collapses to the ground while its head rolls away.

Huh? That's it? Kind of expected more in the end… I sigh and start to walk towards the door to finally get out of here.

Cthylla is probably about to storm this place anyway, so I better get out before she unleashes her eldritch fury on me…

But after a few steps, I noticed something strange. Its aura was still there… I turn towards the lying creature while the ground starts to shake.

At first, I thought it was the incoming wave of furniture, but I was wrong.

In the next moment, the dark soul fragments that were in the tower start to come out of the cracks in the ground like some insects and begin to fly towards the beheaded creature.

I grin at this since it seems to be getting interesting.

---

The shadowy soul fragments first fly around it before entering its body through the hole I created.

In the next moment, the beheaded body gets up and starts to expand. Its limbs are getting longer than they were even before, while its suit stretches with them.

Is the suit part of its body or something like that? If so, then it's pretty convenient… and lucky because I don't need to see it naked this way.

Its body stops stretching out after it reaches around 16 feet (ca. 5 m) in height in total, then it kneels down to pick up its head.

When it tries to put it back on, small shadowy tentacles grab it and sew it back to its body.

Finally complete, it looks at me, and the surrounding space begins to darken. As if the last light in this place starts to be pushed away by the darkness.

"Are you finished? It's starting to get boring here… and wet," I say after letting it do its thing for a bit.

While it took its time to stretch itself out, the dimension started to break more, and water began to flood the place slowly, probably from the countless toilets here.

"Aaaaggggghhh!" It screams again, now strong enough to create a small shockwave, and countless large tentacles erupt from its back, looking for a moment like wings behind its back before shooting towards me.

Since I couldn't avoid so many, I used my telekinesis to create a thick shield out of furniture that blocks the incoming tentacles.

*Crash, Break*

The tentacles hit the furniture and start to drill through its layers, but I step back and put another layer of furniture on it to give me some time to think about my next actions.

The thing is, it probably can't be killed. At least I don't see a way right now how to do it, if even decapitation doesn't work.

But if you can't kill something, lock it up. At least that is what people tried with me before… and that's why I need only to play on time here because the prison is coming right this way.

*Crack* suddenly the ground under me shakes again, and shadowy spikes emerge from it.

I jump up and use telekinesis to boost me, but as soon as I leave my shield, the tentacles also come from the front.

Not wanting to completely end up as a skewer, I throw the machete downwards and remote control it to cut off the spikes coming from the ground.

While focusing on gathering as much stuff that is lying around as possible to send it towards it.

Then some of the 3-feet (ca. 91 cm) tentacles hit and penetrate my upper body before sending me crashing down to the ground, while I use some huge chunks of the tower to smash the beings from both sides.

---

As soon as the being is smashed, the tentacles go limp, so I catapult my machete back towards me and cut them off to free myself.

That was a close one… the tentacles nearly destroyed my upper body completely, and if they had managed to behead me in the process, I would probably be out for a while.

They disappear immediately after losing the connection to the thing, and my wounds start to heal immediately.

So, I stand up, remove the rest of my shirt, and walk to the being while it pushes away the chunks to free itself.

"It's a shame I would have liked to find out how many hits you can take before not fixing yourself anymore… but it seems it's game over now,"

I say and jump away, while from the west and east, the walls reach us and push the furniture like tsunamis at us. The only wall that's missing is the north one, which seems to have the main wave coming at us.

The being first uses its tentacles to climb up the waves before slamming some of its tentacles into the ground, or furniture in this case.

Then the tentacles appear shortly after from the ground at the entrance to block the furniture from obstructing our only escape from here.

At least one thing I don't need to care about…

*Crash*

While it's occupied with the entrance, I use my telekinesis on the waves to control them and send them more fiercely towards the being, which can only stare at the incoming furniture before being buried under it.

Afterwards, I put pressure on the stuff that's covering it while adding more waves of furniture on it, all the while dodging the other waves from burying me.

When the walls from both sides stop moving after a few minutes, the landscape changes drastically. The furniture and other stuff create countless small mountains that make the old Ikea dimension unrecognizable.

I'm on one of them at the moment, watching the water slowly rising while creating a sea around these mountains.

When the north tsunami with the rest of the Ikea dimension arrives, this place will be nothing more than a mix between water and furniture that fills this place to the brim.

Basically, the perfect prison for the thing, that's buried inside a smaller mountain that's nearly completely underwater at the moment. The only problem is I can sense its aura coming closer…

"Aaaaggggghhh!" It screams and breaks free with its upper body while its arms and feet seem to be still stuck inside the mountain.

I sigh and prepare myself to throw more stuff at it before putting on my sneakers to get out of here somehow… but then I notice something strange.

For some reason, I can see my own breath while sighing, and in the direction of the exit, there's suddenly a very familiar aura that appeared there.

The next moment, the water starts to freeze until it reaches the struggling being and begins to creep up its body.

"I waited nearly for three days for you! And imagined already the worst when only Patrick and the other guy appeared…

But it seems I worried for nothing because you seem to be pretty fine while posing half-naked for some outstretched monster,"

Says my angry and soaked girlfriend, who's standing on the ice while crossing her arms under her bosom.

Hey, everyone, and welcome to the end of the chapter.

Did I frighten you with the title? :P

I didn't have much time to write this week because I was away from home due to my job for a few days.

Next time, it's the end of the arc.

So thanks for the support and stay tuned for more!
