Boom

(Kassandra POV)

(2 years later)

Two years passed and I made this people trust me, I think, this place is very interesting, their fighting style is unique, they keep a low posture aiming for the enemies legs (Like Cassandra from Claymore: entails anchoring both feet to the ground and then moving the user's head like a pendulum, Then using centrifugal force, the body is swung very close to the ground, utilizing the awkward angle to catch the target completely off guard. The user would immobilize the target by aiming for the legs first, and then the arms, sealing off all movements and making it easy for the user to finish off the enemy.Despite the seemingly rooted nature of the Dust Eater, it is shown that Cassandra is able to adjust the angle and height of her movements to avoid enemy attacks. She also remains able to use her other high speed movements from the Dust Eater position, allowing her to to attack several opponents in quick succession over a large distance. This is from the Claymore wiki, very good manga btw recommend it) this fighting style was very hard to master, keeping your balance was the hardest part. The technique isn't the most important thing, this place has mutants, there numbers were small and all of them worked for the Chief (The equivalent to king), telepathy, super strength, flight, fire manipulation, and one that remained unknown.

*Knock Knock* someone knocked on the door of my house "Wait a second" I opened the door and there was one of the mutants standing in there "The chief wants to see you" I got out and went to the "palace"

"Aida, we have very few powerful mutants in here, so we want to give you a gift, if you sweat loyalty to me" speaking like he was better than everyone, hate arrogant people

"And what would that gift be?"

"Our fifth mutant has a very unique power, he can make other people's power go to their limit or even beyond permanently, we call it Power Augmentation, do you accept my offer?"

"Of course my King, when are we doing it?" I wanted to get my power increase as fast as possible

"Right now, do it" he pointed at the man and he went in my direction, the put his hands on my head, but my happiness didn't last long, I heard a falling sounds and then screams, when I went out to see what it was "You gotta be fucking kidding me..." a meteor was falling towards the city and I wouldn't do anything to stop it, I wouldn't need to be loyal to that arrogant man, this timing though, mama mia, perfect. The meteor closed up and crashed on the city *BOOOMMMM* everything turned into ashes except me of course, it hurt a lot, A LOT, my entire body got disintegrated it wasn't very pleasant

After my body was completely rebuilt I went to take a look at the meteor, there was only a big black box, I tried to touch it but my hand burned, so I transformed my hand into iron and opened it, inside the box there was only a black book with no title on the cover, I swept the pages of the book and all of them were blank except one, in the page there was a story named "The Tale of the Three Brothers"

"Three brothers, travelling along a lonely, winding road at twilight reached a deep treacherous river where anyone who attempted to swim or wade would drown. Learned in the magical arts, the brothers conjured a bridge with their wands and proceed to cross.

Halfway through the bridge, a hooded figure stood before them. The figure was the enraged spirit of Death, cheated of his due. Death cunningly pretended to congratulate them and proceeds to award them with gifts of their own choosing.

The eldest brother, a combative man, asked for a wand more powerful than any in existence. Death granted his wish by fashioning the Elder Wand from a branch of a nearby elder tree standing on the banks of the river. The second brother, an arrogant man, chose to further humiliate death, and asked for the power to recall the deceased from the grave. Death granted his wish by crafting the Resurrection Stone from a stone picked from the riverbank. The third and youngest brother, who was the most humble and wise, did not trust Death and asked for something to enable him to go forth without Death being able to follow. A reluctant Death, most unwillingly, handed over a part his own Invisibility cloak.

The three brothers took their prizes and soon went on their separate ways.

The eldest brother travelled to a village where a wizard whom he had quarrelled lived. He sought out a duel and fought the wizard using the wand, instantly killing the latter.

Leaving his enemy dead upon the floor, the eldest brother walked to an inn not far from the duelling site and spent the night there. Taken by his conscience and lust of the Elder Wand's power, the eldest brother boasted of this wand gifted by Death and his own invincibility.

That very night, a murderous wizard killed the eldest brother. The unknown murderous wizard crept to the inn as the eldest brother slept, drunk from wine. The wizard slit the oldest brother's throat for good measure and stole the wand. That was when Death took the first brother.

The second brother returned to his home where he lived alone. Turning the stone thrice in his hand the figure of the girl he had once hoped to marry, before her untimely death, appeared at once before him, much to his delight. Yet she was sad and cold, separated from him as by a veil. Though she had returned to the mortal world, she did not truly belong there and suffered. Finally, the second brother, driven mad with hopeless longing, committed suicide by hanging from his house' balcony so as truly to join her. That was when Death took the second brother for his own.

Death searched for the youngest brother as years passed but never succeeded. It was only when the third brother reached a great age, he took off the Cloak of Invisibility and gave it to his son. Greeting Death as an old friend, they departed this life as equals."

I flipped the page and there was only this "Made for destruction, made for life, made to hide, those who find shall see it's real might, thou might not find but rejoice, they are somewh-" the last part was incomplete and blurred as if the one who wrote suddenly stopped writing. This is exciting, seeing this talking about 3 extremely powerful artifacts, guess my secondary activity will be looking for them. I grabbed the book and decided to use it as somewhat of a journal to write my discoveries...

What place should I make her go? I can't find accurate information about old civilizations like Ancient Greece, Rome etc, there's also the fictional places like Atlantis and other planets.
