"Bzsssttt!!!"
Amid the desolation, a heavy silence had settled. Not a single bird fluttered its wings, no wind whispered, and no voices could be heard; it was a complete and eerie stillness.
Grand Elder Feng, bloodied and battered on the ground, gazed upwards. Tears welled in his eyes as he realized they had been saved. As for the extraordinary sight before him:
"Hm? It appears that some rat has infiltrated the sect." From within the radiant pillar of light, a hand extended, grasping Xiao Wuya's hand.
"What—?" Xiao Wuya looked at the hand, wanting to retract his own, but the grip was too strong.
Suddenly, he felt an overwhelming sense of mortal danger, compelling him to cut off his arm without a second thought.
"Oh? It seems we have a brave one here." The radiance dissipated, revealing Alex. His ascension to the Overlord level had been completed.
Although his appearance remained unchanged, Alex alone understood the transformative power within. His inner organs had been fortified to the point where he could break mountains with a single punch. his body was so strong that his entire being was transformed into a different existence, that is how powerful his body transformed after the Ascension, His body was so strong Peak Overlord Artifacts would be necessary to break through his defenses, This was the difference between the Overlord rank and bellow, they were just too strong, their bodies were that unbelievably strong... and now Alex has achieved the same rank as them. He was happy but inwardly quite worried that he was transforming into something other than human, Alex didn't want to let go of humanity even if it meant power, he had a connection with the human mind and if he let go of that human mind he would not be able to show himself to his parents... what if he became someone so emotionless he would lose his goal and concentrate on something else, He didn't want that to happen. Alex thought and smiled once again.
"Who are you?" Xiao Wuya demanded. He was a Peak Overlord, one of the few in the world, and he regarded others with disdain.
Alex scanned the sect, his gaze alighting on the mountains where Chang Li resided. A sigh of relief escaped him when he saw that they remained undamaged.
"The sect seems to need only minor repairs," Alex noted, despite the visible devastation.
"What? I've destroyed nearly everything... How can it require only minor repairs?" Xiao Wuya looked around in disbelief; the area surrounding the sect had been obliterated.
"You're correct, and if it needed more extensive repairs, you wouldn't have survived," Alex retorted, causing Xiao Wuya to furrow his brows in confusion.
BSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
In the sky, it was as if a cataclysm was poised to descend upon the earth. It seemed as if the heavens themselves were about to collide with the world, marked by dark clouds swirling ominously, and lightning arcing around them.
Xiao Wuya calmly removed his hairband and smiled.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
Lightning, the size of mountains, struck the sect, but to everyone's astonishment, it did not extend beyond the hole it created in the ground.
The scene appeared to be taken from a mythical tale as if the heavens were launching a blue laser at someone.
Alex smiled and descended.
"Zhi Li, congratulations," Grand Elder Feng, bloodied but alive, uttered amidst coughs.
"Let me help you, Grand Elder Feng." Alex approached and placed his hand on the elder's body. Wounds mended miraculously, leaving Grand Elder Feng in awe.
"How?" Grand Elder Feng looked around, bewildered.
"I've retained some of that Milky White Energy from earlier. It's versatile—it can be used to fortify yourself, heal others, and heal yourself, among other things. I wonder what it truly is," Alex explained while surveying the sect.
He waved his hand.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
The earth seemed to come alive, repairing the damage to the sect. Relief washed over the sect members, who had feared that the world was on the brink of destruction due to the tremendous power of Xiao Wuya.
"It's alright now... everything is okay," Alex assured, casting his gaze toward the sky, his expression shifting.
"This is going to be a long day," he muttered, observing the awestruck expressions of every elder and disciple.
After a long day, Alex returned to his room. He ensured that Chang Li had fallen asleep and conversed with the sect members before finally heading home to rest, feeling unusually fatigued.
"Come out, Botoz," Alex murmured, gazing at the tiny flame-like drawing on his hand—a representation of Earthly Flame.
"Yes, Master." A young boy emerged from his hand, his form human after ascending to the Overlord level.
"Are you feeling well?" Alex asked. He had been taken aback by this discovery but was delighted that Botoz was aware of his origins and yet chose to remain loyal and unaware of the System's knowledge.
"Yes, Master. I extended my energy to assist you in absorbing the Milky White Energy. Now, I'm quite sleepy. Is there anything you need my help with, Master?" Botoz inquired, appearing drowsy.
"No, go to sleep," Alex instructed, closing the connection.
Just as he was about to drift off to sleep himself, a sudden realization struck him.
"Wait," he jumped out of bed, his face contorted in panic, and he rushed toward a particular room.
Throwing open the door, he found Fengying still fast asleep. He was relieved but also concerned about her prolonged slumber.
"She's been sleeping for days. What's going on?" Alex wondered.
He placed his hand on her forehead, probing gently.
BSSSHHHHTTTT!!!
He entered her thoughts and memories. After reaching the Overlord level, it was effortless for him to explore people's minds, memories, and bodies—unless the individual had exceptionally strong mental defenses.
"Huh?" Alex looked around and found himself in a surreal space. It appeared to be made of pink clouds, which transitioned into a cotton candy-like appearance.
Confusion gripped him as he stared forward, encountering an utterly unexpected sight.
"What the...?"
