A Monster.

BOOM! The explosion echoed with such force that the entire mountain quivered beneath its impact. Alex's once-sturdy house was reduced to rubble, and the skies cleared as if to acknowledge the immense force unleashed.

Even those farthest on the mountain couldn't help but be jolted by the resounding blast.

Coughing and covered in dirt and debris, Lan Ying emerged from the wreckage, his barrier barely holding against the onslaught. "Master!" he cried out in desperation, staring at the fading glow of his necklace.

"Master! DAMN IT, MASTER!" Lan Ying's attempts to summon his mentor proved futile.

However, amidst the chaos, a deep, tyrannical aura descended, causing Lan Ying to kneel involuntarily.

Lifting his head, Lan Ying's eyes widened as they fell upon the broken cocoon, from which a formidable figure emerged.

It was Alex.

A mix of exhaustion and irritation clouded Alex's face as he staggered forward. "Cough... Cough... Cough... fuck, i should have used a less strength..." Alex coughed and went away from the rubble. He caught sight of Lan Ying and shook his head. "Fucking damn man Are you, like, some kind of devil worshipper?"

"LET ME GO!" Lan Ying's voice quivered as the aura overpowered him.

Alex's face contorted, a face that was cold appeared. "I don't think you realize your situation, Lan—" He stopped for a moment, his dumbass forgot the name "whatever the Fuck your name is. Now, you either tell me your game or face something worse than death." Leaning in, Alex whispered a promise of excruciating torment. "I will make you eat your own fingers, the pain will be so much that even in death you will wail in pain." Alex got back from his ears.

Under the weight of Alex's aura, Lan Ying experienced fear – not just physical but something that penetrated his very soul.

"I was trying to absorb your luck, and that necklace," Lan Ying stammered before the ground shook once more.

Alex's eyes widened at the reward, then narrowed. With a swift punch, he sent Lan Ying flying, blood splattering across the ground.

Seizing the talisman, Alex pocketed it quickly.

A thunderous voice boomed across the mountain, echoing in the ears of dozens of elders who converged on the scene.

"WHO DARES?!"

Elders amassed in the sky, peering down at the shattered remains of Alex's home. The building's cracks and debris couldn't hide the magnitude of the explosion.

With a polite bow, Alex stepped forward. "Hello, Elders."

One of the older ones raised an eyebrow. "Show us your badge."

Alex obliged, producing his badge from his attire.

Satisfied with his identity, the elders approached him. "What happened here?"

After contemplating for a moment "Well... some devil worshipper tried to kill me elder, and i beat him thats it." he smuggly said this.

Elders mouth twitched.

"Tell us with more detail." They said to Alex.

Alex said the story with more detail.

"You said you beat the devil worshipper, but how did you cause such destruction with your power?" Elders said this to Alex, they were really confused.

Alex contemplated and continued saying "Basically this guy wanted to kill me but before i died i broke through a realm while my technique followed and... it just happened like that... and i just beat the devil worshipper"

, Alex recounted the event, leaving out certain details.

The oldest elder burst into laughter. "HAHAHA! Well done, young one. We're fortunate to have such a promising seedling among us. Now, where's that guy?"

"In the rubble somewhere," Alex replied.

"HAHAHAHA! Your house will be rebuilt by tomorrow. In the meantime, enjoy the city and stay at a hotel," the elder chuckled.

"Could you, uh, arrange for a plush bed in there? It's kind of a preference," Alex asked sheepishly.

"HAHAHA! Consider it done. Now, off to the hotel with you!" The elders laughed as they headed inside.

Following them, Alex packed a few items to make it appear like he was taking something with him.

--

Staring at the cityscape, Alex contemplated his next move when a familiar voice pierced the air.

"BIG BROOOOTHER LI!!!" Chang Li came running toward him with a fervor.

"Easy there, champ!" Alex intercepted him before he could crash into him.

"Gah... Gah... Gah... I heard something happened, Big Brother Li! Are you alright?" Chang Li's concern was palpable.

With a grin, Alex reassured him, "No worries, it was just a nuisance trying to off me. I took care of it."

Chang Li's curiosity was insatiable. "Kill you? Who? Why? What?"

Alex chuckled at Chang Li's enthusiasm. "Let's head down to the city; I'll fill you in."

--

Seated in a restaurant, Alex narrated the story, and Chang Li hung on every word.

"Big Brother Li, you've gotta be more careful in the future. Don't go pulling crazy stunts like that," Chang Li's concern was endearing as he dozed off at the table.

Smiling, he looked out of the window to see The Night's Moon.

He said "Its time to leave."

Alex put the coins on the table before saying "Thanm you boss, there is the payment keep the change champ..." He went away.

"Thank You Cultivator, come see us again.

--

Alex went towards the mountain house where Chang Li Lived and went towards his house.

Alex gently adjusted Chang Li on the couch, covering him with a bamboo sheet and propping up his head with the pillow.

"Time for me to head out," Alex thought as he gazed down at the city.

---

Descending, he reached the most upscale hotel and relaxed on the large bed, gazing out of the window.

Pulling out the necklace from his pocket, he examined it. "Alright, what secrets are you hiding?"

Turning the necklace over, he remembered something else – the ring. "Oh yeah, that old thing. Might fetch a few bucks."

As he poured his energy into the necklace, a voice interrupted him.

"Hey, youngster, I am Eld—"
