Chapter 10 - Cloud Treasure Pavilion

After dealing with the registration he decided to implement his plan to explore the city.

'I should first sell my collection from the forest and change my clothes. My look brings too much attention. They are probably only monitoring me right now, dealing with me as they usually deal with another rogue cultivator. I don't really mind looking like this but I should show some sincerity since I already decided to join them. But my cultivation art is really unique. As expected of a Supreme Rank. It took only 5 months or so for people to change their view of me from thrash to someone who should be wary of. Even if I didn't catch up with the geniuses like Sun Guo yet, I should be pretty close to them. I wonder if Sun Guo has reached to the ninth layer while I was gone.' thought Long Yang amusedly.

Since he didn't know which way to go, he started asking ways from the people on the road. Although he was mostly ignored, it didn't effect his mood. He was slowly getting used to the different attitudes of the people here. They were mostly cold and greedy. So he found a middle aged woman who looks like a regular citizen and gave her 10 silver before asking ways.

When the man he asked before this regular citizen saw the young man he found annoying gave money to someone to answer his questions, a flash of regret passed his eyes. 'Come on, if you gave me the money I would have told you too, okay?' thought the man before continuing on his way.

Not caring about the looks of the people gave him around him, he asked the woman all kinds of places. This way he learnt there were some interesting places. Such were Alchemy Guild, Crafters Guild and bunch of inns and pavilions. Most of the stuff for cultivators were being sold and bought from pavilions. And since it was his first time here, he asked the woman which pavilion was the most reliable. The answer he got was Cloud Treasure Pavilion. Having found his first destination, he quickly started to tread his way there.

When he reached the place he was told to go, he saw a multi floored building. It looked much grander than the martial hall he visited in the Sun Clan. Right on the entrance there was a writing in gold color "Cloud Treasure Pavilion".

After admiring the view he quickly entered the building. A fragrant smell was lingering in the air. When he saw the interior of the building and felt the refreshing feeling in the air, he couldn't help but reminiscence about malls from his past life. After shaking his head with a slight smile, he gathered his thoughts.

To his left, lots of shelves which are brimmed with medicines, potions and pills could be seen. To his right was all kinds of armors and weapons could be seen on their regular tables and stands. Some armors even had mannequins for being shown off.

When the people in the building saw him standing there like a country bumpkin and his haggard look they started looking him with disdain. Some even snorted and avoided him. The snorts and the looks of the people he saw woke him up from his daze. He quickly found an attendant. The attendant was standing in the medicine section which was to his left. She was standing there with a professional fake smile, and seeing Long Yang coming toward her, her smile stiffened a little bit. But unlike other people she didn't choose to jump into conclusions right away.

"How can I help you, sir?" said the attendant politely.

"I was hunting and gathering in the Black Forest lately. I heard of your pavilions reputation and decided to come here. I hope you don't mind my look, there were some beasts tough to deal with. I would like to sell the stuff on me." said Long Yang politely. Seeing the attendant being polite towards him even if she was prejudiced to him, he decided to first change her opinion of him and be polite in the process.

And just like he expected, after she heard his explanation her gaze completely took a 180 degree turn.

"Thank you for choosing us, please come with me for appraisal and sale agreement." said the attendant with a genuine smile this time. She turned and went inside a room with Long Yang.

There was an old man in the room sitting behind a table. The old man had a peaceful look with his eyes closed. When he heard people entering the room he opened his eyes.

"I brought a business, this young man wants to sell his loot from the black forest. Please help appraise the goods Senior Zhao." said the attendant happily.

The old man nodded and looked at Long Yang with a gaze indicating he can proceed to show his stuff.

After noticing the old man was a man of little words, Long Yang didn't get offended and pulled the large sack from his back. The sack had all kinds of stuff from his five months long journey. He even had to throw some basic medicines he had seen before in the forest to make space for more important looking stuff. He didn't even know what was the most of the things in his sack anymore.

He quietly started emptying the sack, all kinds of plants, bones and skin were laid down on the table before the old man.

When he started examining the goods one by one the old mans face has become brighter and brighter. At the end of the appraisal he had a small smile on his face.

"You have gathered quite interesting things. Some of the plants are quite rare, so you also have the luck too it seems. You even have a middle rank demon core." said the old man before starting to count prices for the plants and materials. At the same time the attendant was writing all of them down to a paper.

He was waiting to earn some gold but he heard "spirit stone" mentioned from time to time. When he checked his memories he was shocked. Even a low grade spirit stone was almost worth a hundred gold. Since worldly materials were not much to a cultivator, a spirit stone which was useful to cultivation was much more important. And it was the most common currency to be used between cultivators.

After having finished calculating, the attendant said "Your goods are worth 132 spirit stones and 200 gold. Some of the plants were not worth a spirit stone so we had to calculate them in gold, would you like us to count 200 gold as 2 spirit stone?" asked the attendant.

"Sure, thank you." said Long Yang without hesitation. He couldn't be sure of their price but only thing he could do was to believe in their reputation.

When she heard the confirmation the attendant said "Thank you for choosing us, please come with me for the trade.". After that she bowed towards the old man lightly and left the room with Long Yang.

After leaving the room Long Yang thought for a second and decided to speak his mind before starting carrying all the spirit stones he will get. "I also wish to buy some armor and weapon if possible, can we seal the deal after checking them out?" said Long Yang.

Hearing there is still business to be made, attendant got more joyful and nodded. She showed him the way to the armor section.

Armors and weapons, which were named spirit weapons, were also divided as Mortal, Earth and Heaven Grade. In the first floor of the pavilion the grade of them were mostly Mortal and Earth Grade. When he curiously asked about the second floor, he heard beyond the first floor was for different levels of VIPs. When he also heard the requirement for being VIP was to have 10,000 spirit stones, he shaked his head slowly before exhaling a deep breath.

After checking the armors, he decided on a Low Earth Grade set of armor which is made from leather. The set was 80 spirit stones. Then he checked the weapon section and decided it was still useless since he had no martial arts for weapons such as sword, spear and halberd. But his gaze stopped on a pair of gauntlets. The gauntlets had a good design and wasn't crude but since the ore it's made of rather common, it was only High Mortal Grade weapon. It was 40 spirit stones and he bought it together with the armor. Thus he spend faster than he earned.

While the attendant was fetching the remaining 14 spirit stones, he donned his armor and gauntlets in the changing room. Even after leaving the pavilion he was still thinking about how do they have a changing room.
