Yang Wei stood tall and imposing, his eyes scanning the group of disciples before him. His gaze lingered on Liang Chen, who he knew was a step above the rest. The air around them was tense, thick with fear and reverence.
"Senior Apprentice brother Yang," Liang Chen spoke up first, breaking the silence. "We have missed to capture the target."
Yang Wei watched as the disciples scurried away, their fear palpable in the air. He raised his hand in greeting, but it was a cold and unemotional gesture.
"Report," Yang Wei demanded, his voice just as cold as his greeting.
"Sir, we were unable to locate our Target," Liang Chen replied, keeping his head lowered in submission.
Liang Chen quickly recounted the events, how there was no one when they got here. As he spoke, Yang Wei's eyes narrowed, analyzing every detail.
'Where could he be?' Yang Wei muttered to himself, his brow furrowed. 'He can't have just disappeared into thin air.'
