Chapter 2 [Shopping in Harajuku Part I]

The still feeling fatigued Honoka started to head towards Harajuku station to find some thrift stores, she wore make up to cover up her eyebags and a lolita dress that had pastel blue and white colors on it that she had bought in the past online 2nd hand along with a matching parasol which gave her a doll-like appearance which made some people stare at her as she walked towards the nearest station from her house which was Asakusa station.

She also installed the mobile app of the chat group site that she had just joined on her smartphone which she used while she was on the train to past the time, Honoka managed to convince Yuuki to meetup with her in person at the 4th exit of the station when Yuuki herself suddenly realized that she had something that she needed to get at the same place.

It's currently summer so her outfit wasn't really a good idea.

Her snow woman blood just made things worst, this made her sweat three times as much.

And to make things worse the crowded trains of the trains of Tokyo made her feel even more hot which she found very uncomfortable.

There were some people who were whispering stuff like: "She looks like a doll...", "Is she a famous cosplayer?" as they saw Honoka's doll-like appearance.

Along with a guy who was in his teens whispering to his friend that was standing beside him: "Do you think we can take a picture with her?"

There were five other people including Yuuki who wasn't really saying anything in the chat group, the other four members were talking like they were close friends that knew each other personally.

Honoka who didn't want to interupt their conversation decided to just direct message Yuuko that she was on her way to the station already.

And with the vibration of the smartphone in her hand that she had set to silent mode Honoka saw Yuuki's reply that said:

"I'm only one more station away."

After traveling via the Yamanote line for exactly thirty three minutes she finally arrived at Harajuku station.

There were a lot of students that looked like they were on their way to resorts or public pools walking around the station, along with some elderly, office/salary workers, and the occasional foreign tourist.

She had to head to a vending machine first since she was to dehydrated to even bother with other things.

After she got her drink she immediatley contacted Yuuki via the chat group app on her phone telling her that she had arrived at the station and waiting at the 4th exit of Harajuku station.

'Where is she? She said that she'd be waiting by the exit but... I don't see her anywhere...'

She started looking around her surroundings whilst drinking the bottled oolong tea that she had gotten from the vending machine.

Five whole minutes passed and she decided to contact her once more to make sure that she had seen her message on the said chat group.

As she sent the message she spotted a girl with semi long black hair and sky blue-colored eyes with a face of a foreigner wearing a white sundress and sandals that was heading towards her direction while holding a bag on one hand.

She had already described her appearance to Yuuki beforehand via DM on the chatting site the previous day after Yuuki had agreed to meetup in person with Honoka, although Honoka was a bit shy about meeting with strangers she pretty much had to since she didn't know Harajuki that well.

The girl stopped as she had approached Honoka with a grin on her face.

"Are you Honoka?"

She wondered with a bit of a american accent in her voice whilst looking at her from head to toe.

Honoka was startled by the girl's action which almost made her spit out her drink.

"Y-Yes, Are you Yuuki?"

She quickly swallowed the tea that was in her mouth as she heard Yuuki's voice and put the cap back on the bottle.

"Yup~"

She replied in a almost obnoxious voice while making a peace sign with her other hand.

Honoka didn't see a halo nor wings on the back of Yuuki which made her tilt her head in bewilderment.

"Are you looking for my halo and wings? Their hidden so that people think that I'm also a normal human."

"What? No, It's nothing... I just found it a little interesting on how they aren't visible at all."

Honoka nervously and awkwardly replied with a cold sweat.

"Aren't you feeling hot in that~?"

Yuuki asked as they walked toward the shops of the area still grinning.

"Yeah, But if I don't wear clothes like these I feel like my skin is about to come off because of the heat."

Snow Women who are known to live up in the moutains have bodies that are sensitive to heat which is why Honoka who is half snow woman is really affected by the summer heat.

Snow women basically wear clothing like the Kimono to protect their skin from the heat but Honoka isn't a fan of how hard it is to move in that kind of clothing and decided to just wear long sleeved outfits instead which in this situation a lolita outfit.

They headed to a store beside the 4th exit of the station that was known for selling western clothing and accessories from japanese and imported brands, as well as used authentic kimono and yukata.

They entered the used clothing store Honoka was amazed at how colorful the clothing inside the store was, as well as how many different patterns all the clothing had.

Fortunately though the store had a air conditioner inside of the store's premises which made Honoka feel a bit relieved as she felt the cold air inside escaping as Yuuki opened the store's door.

Honoka headed towards the shoes and boots section of the store with Yuuki right behind her to look for the snow boots that she needed.

She had to find it a soon as possible because once the convention that has people selling doujinshi starts she won't have much time to do so since she is gonna be attending it as a cosplayer.

Also her job of being a author of a light novel series doesn't help with how busy she is with conventions.

She also caught a cold the previous week which made her even more in a rush since she had to rest while she waited for her cold to go away.

Honoka couldn't help but wonder about the thing that Yuuki had needed to buy as they walked to the area of the store that had snow boots in it since she suddenly followed her reply with a "Oh, evermind. I actually needed to buy something at Harajuku as well... Is tomorrow all right?" which she found a little wierd.

They finally got to the footwear section which was filled with various kinds of footwear.

They both carefully scanned through the said section whilst being careful not to bump into any of the other customers in the store.

With them already scanned the whole section, they only found boots that didn't even resemble the boots that she required so they had to check the other stores if they had them.

They ended up on the street called "Cat Street" that had "Kawaii Stores" on it's vicinity while they were looking for the boots, they had already looked in three different stores at this point of time.

There were a lot of girls that looked like they were in their teens to their twenties walking around wearing lolita fashion which made the other people ask Honoka for pictures which startled her a little bit but she said yes even though she was a little reluctant to agree.

With the sound of camera shutters Honoka's face turn a little red which gave Yuuki who had to stand back to let the photographers take the pictures the urge to tease Honoka who was feeling a bit shy.

"Thank you"

The photographers thanked Honoka before they proceeded to bow before walking away.

"Well, aren't you popular..."

Yuuki jested with a cat-like mouth as she approached Honoka.

"T-That's not true at all..."

Honoka averts her eyes from Yuuki who just teased her because of the photographers asking for a picture of her still blushing.

Yuuki couldn't help but let out a snicker as they proceeded to continue walking.
