Chapter 12 [Vague Group Chat]

The split personality-like trait that Honoka accidentally showed Koto was something she wasn't aware of until just now when Koto exprienced it first hand when she tried to play dumb to Honoka's inquiry.

Why did her personality suddenly change when I tried to play dumb?

At the same time that Koto was trying to figure out what had just happened, Honoka was in another room trying to figure out why her mind suddenly went blank while she was questioning the cat humanoid about her following...

"What just happened back there...?

My mind suddenly went blank after I heard the answer to the question that I asked her..."

After thinking for a little bit she headed back to the living room where Koto had turned on the flat screen TV inside out of boredom when she was told that Honoka had something to do in the other room...

"I'm sorry about what just happened, I honestly don't know what just happened."

Honoka sincerely bowed in front of Koto who was just sitting on the tatami floor of the room with her legs stretched out.

"I-It's fine It's fine, thought you kinda surprised me back there..."

"But..."

"And besides, It doesn't really mind what just happened..."

You liar... Why are you lying to yourself?

Why are you telling her that?

Self-scoulding thoughts were on Koto's mind as she tried toake Honoka stop apologising about the issue...

This confusion between the two of them however affected Honoka's supposed-to-be-helpful trip to Kyoto when she herself got of the bullet train at Kyoto station, due to the fact that she was still trying to figure out why that happened despite not having remembered "It" happening in the past when she was younger.

The hotel that she and several other author's that work with the same publisher that she's working with wasn't the kind of hotel that you could call a "Ryoukan" but, it was another kind of hotel...

One of the western or foreign kind, the type that was almost a five star hotel; from the fancy-looking decor down in the lobby to the fairly large room that each of the author including hers was on the fifth floor of the building... A few floors away to the floor where a penthouse that anyone that had the money could rent was located.

Honoka washed her face at the bathroom sink the moment she got to her hotel room to drop off her luggage to sobber up despite not being drunk not minding the fancy aspect of the accommendation since her editor would likely just tell her that the higher ups sent them to that hotel as a thank you for working hard and also as a motivation to keep on writing great stories.

This trip was supposed to be for fun and for inspiration and yet here I am...

Thinking about the trouble that I caused Koto... I'm so stupid...

She already said that it didn't bother her, so why do I keep on thinking about it...?

She slowly staggered into the bedroom of the hotel room where a towel was located on top of the huge bed that could fit six full-grown adults rolled up like a spring roll.

Oh yeah, What was the time that my editor tell me to meet up down in the lobby again?

She tried to remember changing her clothes to a more casual attire from her usual lolita with parasol outfit as Shigure instructed her to before she was allowed to go to her room.

Well, I guess I'll just send her a message on my phone since I can't remember...

She quickly grabbed her smartphone from her backpack with ease and unlocked it...

The usual message notifications from the cosplay group chat was as several as usual but this wasn't what she grabbed her phone for this time, so she ignored it for now since that meet up time was more important than that.

With her fast typing she sent the her question via text message to her editor to confirm what time it was supposed to be and to not be late for it.

I haven't been posting on my SNS recently, have I?

I guess I could post a update while I was for Shigure to reply...

She quickly opened the SNS app that she had on her phone and with everything that's been happening in her life as of late, she posted about her currently being in the Kyoto for some business along with a picture of her luggage that she hasn't unpacked yet.

My follower count is stuck on six thousand.... I'm surprised that no one unfollowed me while I wasn't posting anything in a while...

After this she proceeded to do her usual check in on that chat group to see what the topic of the conversation was and to chat with Yuuki.

This time there weren't any other members that weren't cosplayers like before, and the discussion was very vague; as if they weren't really focusing on a single topic.

Some were talking about the tailoring of some tailors that make costumes, while some were talking about colored contact lenses and the different styles, colors, and brands, while a few people were just chatting about the upcoming photoshoot in Kyoto where Honoka is currently located.

With a shrug she sends a message to Yuuki to get her attention and reply to her...

"The chat sure is random today..."

"Well, Most of the cosplayer members are busy right now preparing for the shoot so..."

"Oh yeah, that's happening soon... Luckily I already prepared in advanced lol"

"You sure are excited, Honoka"

"Well, I don't wanna be rushing a day before it lol"

Really... I seriously don't wanna... It'll be wierd though since I'm gonna be coming back here again in just a few more hours for the photoshoot...

*Ding!*

That must be Shigure's reply.

Honoka quickly switched to the messaging app from the group chat app and opens the new message which was really from her own editor.

"It's at 5PM, there's still an hour left."
