Leonard was about to go to his bed. Lorraine took a lot of his time, he was thankful that Lorraine at least follows Lenneza, or else he won't have time for himself at all.

Taking out his phone he started to attach the SD card, he checked the files of the SD card Certhac gave him. What he saw inside is information that may be not available to humans in this era.

What Leonard saw is divided into three files. Martial arts, Mana techniques, cultivation methods. Naturally out of these three Leonard got interested in one, when he checked the cultivation methods he came across information that the Royal family would target him.

The Nascent Soul, The Sword qi technique, the Flaming hands, The Diamond body, etc. All of this is very valuable. But there is a problem since Leonard doesn't cultivate this information is quite useless for him.

But he has an idea. A downgraded version of each cultivation method. What Leonard was about to do wasn't easy, but he was Leonard with a system.

Leonard, however, didn't need the system. Why? He was saving points and the latest mission provided by the system hasn't been confirmed to be finished yet.

Leonard took a deep breath and studied each cultivation method. He could make a strong soul that is devoid of any flaw so that he could be immune to illusion and direct soul attacks, or he could make a martial art that makes him the only user.

"Hmm… what to do…"

In the end, Leonard decided to make an upgraded version of the Mana filter technique and Vent suction technique.

Using the amount of knowledge that the SD card had, Leonard told the servants to bring him food and tons of water every dinner time.

They were confused but complied, Lenneza was curious but didn't pry she was busy with Lorraine anyways.

Also, the fact that Lorraine gets along with Lenneza made Leonard feel warm, he was simply happy.

Anyways, when Leonard decided what Cultivation method to apply with his current technique he started experimenting.

He decided to make his Vent suction technique follow the principles of the Nascent soul cultivation method to further improve the circulation of mana in his body.

He also used some parts of the Nascent soul and applied them to his mana filter technique.

Now, the mana filter technique could be said to be layered. So calling it a mana filter isn't necessary anymore.

Leonard decided to call it, Layered Mana Technique. It follows two principles. Mana filter technique's ability to divide mana purity in the body and the nascent soul's ability to reject impurities and refine mana.

This made an actual border of differing mana purifies in his body, justifying the new technique called the Layered mana technique.

With this nobody could tell that Leonard is a beaming nuclear reactor of mana because he is fully disguised with Nue mana on the surface. And the nue mana in his skin is so thick it could even fool the best security methods.

Now as for the Vent suction technique. Leonard used the Nascent soul's principle to gather mana in the surrounding by absorbing it directly.

Absorbing it directly has its consequences, it could lead to Mana Poisoning and other severe complications. However, the Nascent soul absorbing principle is different from the normal direct absorption of mana.

The nascent soul's absorption of mana makes it surround the user, it revolves around the user and slowly absorbs the wild mana until it is fully assimilated with the body.

With Nascent soul's absorption principle and Vent suction technique to absorb mana through the pores. Leonard's rate of absorbing mana is at a very high rate.

At that point, Leonard is a mana powerhouse of all purity. But nobody will know, and the fact that his skin is covered with Nue mana will make everyone think he'd be a beginner mage or in fact, unable to wield basic magic.

"Ugh… this is heavy…"

The vent suction technique made Leonard feel heavy, since he isn't pushing the impurities out of his body he is carrying them on his skin.

And since the two techniques complement each other, Leonard decided to call it the Mana Reactor Method. The only one who had this Cultivation method is Leonard.

"Ugh…"

Leonard saw how sweaty he was so he decided to take a bath. He started the shower and took a hot bath.

When he looked at the mirror he saw his body, it was chiseled, too chiseled for a 10-year-old. And his face. Well, it still has its baby fat.

"I'll just hide this with baggy clothes."

Leonard didn't concern himself with his appearance, he was a villain, and he didn't need to concern himself with charming someone.

Leonard looked at the clock at the top of his drawer. The time he was merging principles with his techniques he realized a week has passed!

"Oh shit!"

Leonard wore his best clothing and walked out the door. He called up a servant to have a car prepared for him.

"How long was I doing that?"

He wasn't aware his endeavor was taking too long, he didn't get an ounce of rest at that period, yet he wasn't tired.

He still has the energy to run around the mansion a hundred times, if not, a thousand times!

When a bodyguard appeared by his side a car parked itself beside Leonard. He left instructions to another servant to have a car with two vans directly following behind his car.

The moment he went in and told the driver to go to the slums.

"I hope Certhac isn't waiting that long."

When they arrived in the slums, Leonard walked toward the makeshift orphanage. He made sure not to be conspicuous so as not to attract attention, people in this place are very desperate. Even Leonard's father, the Duke, can't do anything about the crime in this district.

"Maybe I should try and alleviate some of my father's worries. According to law, successors are allowed to rule parts of the territory for as long in the name of administrative learning."

Leonard knows the territory of the Duke quite well, he was in and out of this place in the first run after all.

A few minutes had passed and Leonard was in front of the Orphanage. Leonard could tell that Certhac's condition is worsening.

This placed a sad expression on Leonard's face, but he shook it off and knocked on the door.

"coming!"

A voice on the other side replied. Leonard isn't close to Certhac, but he knows when it's his voice, what replied wasn't Certhac but a younger voice.

Looks like Certhac is certainly ready to depart.

Followed by footsteps behind the door, it opened and a young boy welcomed him.

Leonard gave a gentle smile.

"Hello"

"Uh… Hello Big brother"

Leonard was a bit perplexed, he forgot he was back to being 10 years old. This confused the young boy in front of him and changed his words.

"Uhm… sir?"

"oh, no, no it's not what you think. I was just surprised."

"oh… okay."

"How is Jermaine?"

A week ago, what Leonard saw on his mana eye was Certhac's real name. However, his name is known in the demon continent. So he was using an alias, good thing Leonard learned of this before going back.

"Ah! He's taking a rest."

"I need to see him, is he available?"

The young boy seemed confused but instead, he nodded and let Leonard in. He's seen Leonard last week, but he didn't give off an impression of someone bad.

The young boy led Leonard towards Certhac's room. He was lying down with green veins bulging and even pulsating.

"Oh damn."

Certhac was aware of our presence as he opened his eyes and looked at us.

"Theo, can you leave us please?"

"Okay"

The young boy named Theo left Leonard and Certhac alone in the room. The moment the door closed Leonard moved towards Certhac's bed.

"You said you could at least suppress what's happening to you for a few more years, what is this?"

Certhac laughed.

"Don't put such an expression on your face. I know you're angry but there is a reason."

Leonard suddenly blanked out for a moment, was he showing such a strong emotion right now? He then shakes his head.

"You fool."

"That I am."

"If you were born a human would this happen?"

"If I was born as a human I would've probably killed myself."

Leonard was silent.

"If I was human, I probably would've realized that this way of living wasn't it. If I encountered the kids I may have a new purpose but I'm pretty sure… "

Certhac had a smile on his face.

"If I was born human, I would've died at a young age."

Leonard nodded, Certhac's life would've probably been miserable. He was a man with a smart head, he already experienced a lot of things on the demon continent, what about the continent that housed its enemies?

Humans aren't barbarians but their methods are petty. You would rather be placed in a physically abusive household than a household that continuously degrades your sanity.

Certhac was placed in both.

"Well damn, I'll give you a proper burial so don't die now."

"Puhahaha. I'll miss their phones."

Certhac laughed. He was ready to go.

"Anyways. I'll have the kids be moved to an annex in our mansion. It's well kept and clean, it's also fully insulated."

"That's good to hear."

"You already told them about this?"

Certhac nodded.

"Alright then."

"You seem stranger than before…"

Leonard was shaking, Certhac could notice the change in his body even in that state?

"Don't underestimate my origins."

"Ah… my bad"

Leonard couldn't help but scratch his cheek, even if Certhac was a demon who's sensitive to magic, he wouldn't be that much strong. Because his horn was cut, Leonard couldn't help but think that his cutting his horn did not weaken him at all.

At most, it's the Mana overcharge that is the reason he was weak. Leonard's impression of Certhac became higher, a demon whose strength—the horn, was cut off and yet this strong.

Leonard was not confident in standing his ground towards Certhac if the mana overcharge didn't affect him. No chance at all.

Certhac coughed.

"Take it, easy old man."

"Yeah yeah… Young master—"

"Leo. Just call me Leo."

"Leo… I rather give you my ring."

"Huh? Didn't I tell you—"

"Leo…" Certhac coughed. "My Ring exudes pure mana, it could be taken by someone else. I don't want that."

"..."

"Rather… Leo, we've met only twice. But I felt like I could trust you."

"Being superficial aren't we?"

"I'm serious."

A moment of silence descended the room, Leonard and Certhac looked eye to eye till Leonard finally shrugged.

"We might get investigated considering you're a demon. You might put us all in danger if you decided to give the ring to me."

"It's fine. The funeral I want is simple."

"Yeah say it."

"You know those Northerner rituals?"

"The Vikings?"

"Yeah, them. I want to be placed in a boat and be pushed into the middle of a lake. Then shot down by a firing arrow. I think it's cool."

"Hahaha! We're talking about your funeral in here."

Leonard and Certhac had their conversation and it might take a while.
