Demonic war 2

Leonard made it a goal to move away from the city and the people. Instead, he had to ensure that no humans would recognise him because he'd participate in the war against the Humans. It was supposed to be the day he wasn't going to remember the Sapient continent, but of course, a war had to go off.

Leonard ran along the buildings making sure he was with a cover. He had illusion magic on, covering his inconspicuous hair, his eyes could stay, after all, blue eyes aren't that rare. But he changed his sclera, after all, it's better to look generic than to bring up suspicions.

He looked above, multiple dark planes were over the demonic skies. Leonard couldn't help but click his tongue. He saw one of the planes drop off a bomb, and then as soon as if wasps were around him multiple red dots came flying at the projectile at rapid speed.

They were anti-ballistic turrets going off, but if they can recognize projectiles why can't they recognize the planes and bombs earlier? The simple answer is that humans figured that technology out and so did the demons. Soon enough, gunfire started becoming apparent in the skies, demon soldiers that could fly were intercepting the humans with parachutes down.

Leonard ran towards the landing spot of the humans and intercepted them himself he had a persistent suspicion that the heroines knew him before he could interact with them, he knew that the heroines of the first iteration came along with this new iteration, so he knew why the demon queen came helping him.

He could at least help the demons, he only saw perverted versions of them, ones that crave flesh and blood, clearly The Demon Queen clarified his perception of that. Leonard came running towards a lone soldier that just dropped.

The soldier aimed his gun towards him, he knew that those guns had anti-demonic property on them. Leonard isn't a demon, but a bullet is still a bullet, it would still affect him if he took it on. So with a simple spell, his body hastened, and the Soldier kept firing his gun towards Leonard's direction.

It surprised Leonard when the bullet grazed him, the helmet of the soldier had a visor that helped it predict disposition. When Leonard came close he opted for a punch, but it didn't reach as the Soldier rolled away and pulled out an extendable baton.

Leonard shook his head, right he still had his general appearance as a mime, he mimicked a gun in his hands, the Soldier was wary of his action, the humans would'nt complacently invade the demonic lands.

Leonard fired his imaginary gun and soon the human felt imaginary bullets stamp holes in his body, the soldier soon dropped down once a bullet reached his mouth and exited out his nape.

That's one soldier of many. Leonard looked above him, theres still a little bit of humans coming through despite the demonic military handling it there were simply more of them. Leonard now imagined a sniper rifle, no, a laser beam rifle. He aimed at one soldier and fired.

He saw how his equipment melted and struggled before slumping motionless in the air. Leonard didn't waste more time and started aiming at the other soldiers he could see being dealt with. 

But soon, as the planes were exiting, another small plane unshrouded itself, soon, 16 individuals jumped out of the plane, and Leonard aimed towards them. What was surprising is that after he fired, the hand of the human turned black as it morphed into a shield covering its entire body.

That!

In Leonard's mind was running wildly, what is that power? Are the humans employing demons now? Leonard has his Mana sense spread towards the 16 individuals. They were humans no doubt.

But how…?

Leonard then saw that 6 of them were going in his general direction. Hands morphed into sharp objects. Leonard's eyebrows creased, and he continued firing his imaginary laser beam towards the odd humans. But the humans whom Leonard was firing at seemed durable.

They covered their faces with their hands to make sure that none of Leonard's attacks reached into their skulls. Their regenerative abilities were beyond human as well, the moment Leonard's imaginary beam singed their arms it would heal immediately.

Leonard could see that 6 of the odd humans were soaring faster and aiming at him, they were getting faster with each minute, and their approach would reach him in a few minutes. Leonard changed his imaginary weapon.

It would take a lot of mana and mental power, Leonard however, doesn't lack both. When Leonard imagined an anti-material turret he knew it materialized with his imagination, however, the said item seemed to be so much of a burden in his mind it felt like he was carrying a weight in his head.

Within a few seconds, he commanded the turret to shoot at the six humans. He saw 2 of them explode into meat pastes, when the other four saw what happened to their comrade they got angry and covered themselves in their reinforced flesh. The turret that Leonard kept firing towards them became ineffective as it only left dents to the reinforced flesh that the humans covered themselves with.

Leonard let go of the imaginary turret. The weight on his head was gone in a moment's notice, while a chunk of his mana was gone. Leonard sighed, but then the four humans landed near him, their reinforced flesh turned them into much more monstrous beings.

Their body was dark, they looked rigid and tough. Leonard couldn't help but furrow a brow as he could tell, aside from their reinforced flesh he had to deal with their armours first.

"Zeta, we found a unique demon that could attack us with nothing."

"End it before anything else, that's a lost defender for the demons."

One of the humans lunged at him with one of his arms turned into a long sharp object, the human was fast, thankfully Leonard made an imaginary wall that the man encountered and stopped his assault towards Leonard.

He made a pulling gesture and the man came flying off, a slight dent on the ground could be seen. One more human came rushing towards him with a sharpened limb and Leonard intercepted with an imaginary sword whilst pulling something.

The other two humans tumbled before they made their own move, the human that Leonard was dealing with first swung his blade like limb, and Leonard intercepted again, soon Leonard had a hard time dealing with the human, its limb became stretchy like rubber and swung around like a whip towards him.

Leonard had to imagine a wall, but that was soon becoming chipped down by the humans who were free from a momentary distraction, all three were aiming at him with killing intent.

Leonard gritted his teeth, it was difficult with direct confrontation with all of the humans. 

In order to have the power of a mime, Leonard placed multiple conditions towards himself, if he made a voluntary noise and even had his imagination waver his mime powers would be gone mid-battle. He had to concentrate or else his imaginary item would be gone.

Soon he enclosed himself in walls as the human who was shot away by an imaginary cannon came back, both arms becoming stretchy with metallic tips that would whip itself towards Leonard.

Leonard was focused on defence, he couldn't move anywhere at all, he had bottomless mana at his reserve but he couldn't rely on that, these humans before him were obviously bioweapons developed by the empire. He is sure that they would sweat first before they lost stamina.

Fortunately, being boxed in a corner didn't last long a demon with long red horns started shooting his gun mid-flight towards the humans, that dodged. Where the bullets landed it corroded everything.

"Another demon…"

Leonard dropped his guard and ran towards the demon, the Humans didn't even bother catching up to Leonard. They seem wary of the demon that appeared. Leonard saw the rank on his shoulder and immediately knew who it was.

The famed general, Ulpo.

"You madlads, invading the demonic lands."

The Humans pulled a gun out of their holsters, Leonard was a bit shocked by this, Mana from Ulpo emerged and made a two-layered barrier. The fire from the humans made the barrier crack, Leonard immediately ran to find cover along with Ulpo.

"Tsk, anti demonic guns."

"Don't we have anti-human guns?" Leonard asked.

"Those are called regular guns kid, everything works in killing a human."

"Oh…"

General Ulpo pulled out a circular object and pulled out a pin before throwing it in the general direction of the humans, the object blew and shrouded the area in dark mist, the humans coughed for a minute and Ulpo pulled Leonard out of the place.

"That was a brave display, however, do not fight the humans alone again."

"Ugh… I wish I could, but I'm pretty sure I would meet them again whether I like it or not."

"What?"

Ulpo opened his wings and grabbed Leonard, flying to an open area of the city. There he found the military of the are preparing.
