The Kids out in the Town

[ P.O.V of Angel ]

I and Daemon decided we'd go out on a date tonight! I even sewed him a suit, grandpa told me, humans, were them out when they want to have special events. I sewed myself a dress. I made sure to hide it from grandpa, or he'd tease me about it to my death!

I and Daemon walked into town at night, there were a lot of elves walking around, and every few minutes a carriage would pass by. The streets were lit up with some lamps held on a post near the street.

We just walked around at night and looked at through the windows of some of the stores. We didn't have any of the currency the city uses. Grandpa refuses to tell us how we always have food, even when we don't hunt.

We then walked into a store at the end of the street, it was the last store, and it had a magnificent sign above it, " Magic Emporium of Santric City ". I looked at daemon, and he said,

"Let's go in, we may not have money, but we know damn lots about magic! ".

I nodded my head, we both did know a lot about magic.

[ Both of Them ]

When Angel and Daemon walked in, they saw it was an old store, using some refurbished wood. There were random books stacked everywhere, to say the least. Then Angel accidentally tripped over one, being caught by Daemon on her way down. She was flushed red.

Then the owner coughed, " Ahem ".

They both looked over at him and blushed.

Daemon wiped himself down, " Yes, hello, we were here to learn about some magic. "

The owner just looked at him with hollow eyes, " Okay sir, do you understand the basic tiers of magic? "

They both immediately said, " Yes! "

He then said, " Good, then let us go over it just once then;

Tier 1 Magic - A publicly known spell

Tier 2 Magic - Magic used by apprentice mages

Tier 3 Magic - Magic used by regular mages

Tier 4 Magic - Magic used by Royal Court mages

Tier 5 Magic - Forgotten Magic used by the Great Sages

Tier 6 Magic - Magic that is only known by the gods, and is rarely ever seen being used. "

He then said, " You got that? "

They then worriedly said, " Haha, yeah. "

He then said, " Tier 1 and Tier 2 magic are normally public, except very specific tier 2 spells. "

" While tier 3 magic is usually restricted to each nation's school of magic or national wizard tower. "

" Tier 4 magic is banned by all known nations except some beastmen and demon race nations, where it's not restricted. You can only learn it if you're a Royal Court mage, not even Nobles are allowed to see the spells. "

" Tier 5 and above magic are forbidden magics, if you are ever caught even knowing these spells, those mages are hunted down by nations almost everywhere they go, even the beastmen and demons don't allow people to know tier 5 and above magic willingly, because at that point, you're a living nation. For Tier 6, we'll.... you'd have to be a god or find a corpse of a god to find that kind of knowledge, its only ever been seen cast by gods. "

They both immediately left the store.

They then ran back home, leaving the city.

Before they went back to the cabin though, they looked at each other.

They both nodded.

Angel said, " You find it weird to don't you... "

Daemon replied, " Yeah... I've never thought it about it till now, but think about it "

She said, " about what? "

" We've never lost against grandpa, he's never gotten sick, and sure he looks frail, but the magical beast never come near the cabin, they actively avoid it, we've seen them do so while hunting. "

She thought about it, " Thats true... just who is... "

They both said, "grandpa... "

Mass Release 5/5

Listen, I know avid people who've kept this in there collection have waited. And I might just get some comments asking, why did just 5 chapters take so long?

Honestly, I was procrastinating, I had a lot of ideas I wanted to do but Im not a person who likes filler, but I know as a story writer, filler leads to important details, I cant have only cool scenes. So I guess you could say it was a problem of situation and time management. But thats just an excuse, just me being lazy.

I apologize for the delay of over a month. You have waited long enough.
