When I turn Nineteen

(A Day Before Christmas)

December the merry season. 

Days of being grateful for the love you have.

Days of celebrating wins and illuminating the world in eternal bliss.

The magic sparkles on the trees, secrets hover in the air for the delight Christmas day would bear.

Neva and Rhett has been shopping for the whole day. The previous day, Neva along with Rhett bought a Yule Tree to embellish their home. 

Neva has been securing fairy lights and miscellaneous ornaments for the past couple of hours.

"Angel we've gathered plenty already, come on let's go." Rhett appeals, hoping to get some rest.

Neva grabs another packet of tiny crystal reindeer ornaments. She glances at him and scrunches her brows.

"You've been repeating those same words for the past hour."

Neva then scurries towards the left corner of the humongous store.

Rhett trails along with the shopping cart overflowing with Neva's decors.

"Rhett I'm going insane they are all so adorable." She cradles three packs of beautiful glittery snowflakes and admires them.

"I can't choose help me." Neva's eyes glints in astonishment, the charming pieces almost blinding Rhett's eyes.

"We almost got every single thing already Angel. They seem similar anyway." Rhett shrugs earning a glare from her.

"They are not! We need more!" She resumes strolling through.

"I can't take it anymore!" Rhett lazily whines, sensing his legs jelly.

A little longer later, Neva sympathizing Rhett finally ends her measureless purchase. Neva overcrossed her budget. Nevertheless her late parents left her with brimming golds.

Though Neva refuses, Rhett being a gentleman offers to pay resulting her to relent.

To close her cycle of purchase, Neva gets him a mini Yule Tree. Rhett basically settled in her flat disapproves. Nonetheless, Neva forcefully gifts him one asserting his home would feel deserted.

"You are my home Angel." Rhett affirms.

Neva adjusting her grip on her diverse shopping bags, peers at him.

"It's different!" Her features burns scarlet. He chuckles kissing her left cheek.

"I can't bear to wait for tomorrow." Neva giggles. "Me too." He smiles.

The most awaited day of the world is here.

Happy smiles and giggles fills their homes on being presented such sweet life.

Neva's home feels exceptionally warm today.

Smells of sweet chocolate and cookies drifting in the air. Her haven effervescent in pretty fairy lights. A huge radiant Christmas tree in her drawing room.

She has been baking Rhett's favourite chocolate cake and cookies.

The previous night after adorning their home with the Christmas aura, Neva managed to pursue Rhett to visit along her to the nearby church she made familiar with.

For the evening afterward, welcoming Emma and Zedd they plan on having a feast at her home.

Rhett has been arranging the place. Before long, he comes dallying towards Neva in the kitchen.

"Angel," Rhett starts, earning a hum from the girl. "I've got a gift for you." He declares joyously. 

Neva flips the pancake, having the other side to cook well. She tilts her head and gazes at him.

"Me too!" She exclaims, giggling away.

He swiftly sprints towards her and backhugs her.

"I'm not finished Rhett." She mutters, placing the pancake on the plate and designing another batch.

"Angel marry me." Rhett proposes.

"Hah!" Neva's orbs protrudes, for his goofiness knows no bounds, she chuckles.

"Sure," she confirms, approving.

"I'm serious." He clarifies, turning off the stove.

He faces her, Neva's seriously confused.

"These past days, that I had been away from you, I've realised I can't bear being apart you. I was going insane..." He leans down, capturing her rose watercolor lips meekly.

"I love you Neva. My every being thirsts for you. My chest hurts, I can't endure this sensations that weighs me down to the depths of abyss. 

I wish you would enlighten me. Assure me you feel the same." He sucks in a longish air, for the reason he's short of breath, his heart thumping bad.

Neva has her mouth agaped, coming in term that he's actually not bantering.

Never could she have expected him to make an offer for marriage in such a way.

"I love you too," she whispers in a daze.

Rhett gazes at her in awe, his pupils enlarging. She had said she loves him.

For the first time ever.

He suddenly scurries towards the bedroom and comes back in a span of seconds. He kneels down enclosing a red velvet box. Inside unveils a beautiful flower shaped diamond ring.

"Marry me Neva." He smiles.

Neva's flabbergasted. "Rhett I'm eighteen!"

She swallows, "We've known each other for two months, barely." 

She kneels down, placing her hands on her thighs, she tilts her head a little to the right.

"Isn't it enough," he frowns saddening.

Neva bites her lips, his teary eyes breaking her apart.

"I'll marry you when I turn nineteen."
