The enemy is here

Rumbling... Booming... Crashing...

The blaring bullets raining down on the Oasis cruise as he fights off; Alone against the Demons coming after them.

Violence, Blood...

Tears streams down Neva's eyes as she gazes out the door from behind the front room of the third–floor that Rhett has sheltered her into.

She clasps her mouth with her palms—the trauma weighing down her soul.

She desperately embraces the tiny figure laying on her lap.... drenched in blood.

Fighting to breathe; fighting to live.

Rhett crouches down behind the handrail breathing heavily, hurried hands unloading and loading magazine on his machine gun.

Two hour prior, it was all peaceful and merry on the Cruise sailing on the Heart of the Ocean.

'Why? How did this happen?'

---

(An hour before)

Neva in her cabin, seated on her bed with Noah, her head leaning back, she laughs her heart out.

Noah dazedly blinks at her.

He thinks to himself; the story was not supposed to be funny or, was it?

Nevertheless, he giggles looking at Neva chortling wildly, whose eyes are filled with tears.

Rhett laying on the left side of the bed shakes his head. A lingering smile on his face. He lay on his back with his arms folded behind his head. His eyes on Neva.

Minutes before he was frustrated and inflamed at the boy Noah being inside their room.

Seizing all of Neva's attention from him.

Fate had it's own game. Noah and his father's cabin, just two doors away from their's.

The child came knocking on their door. Rhett who opened the door glanced down and frowned at the boy.

While the child smiled, his eyes gleaming; he was right!

He once saw the man, whom he saw with the beautiful Neva, making his way to this cabin.

Although he saw her only once two days ago, she made a remarkable space in his heart.

He wished to see his princess once more.

Neva peeked out from inside the room, only to find the little human she crossed paths couple of days ago.

Rhett as always was firm to not let the kid in.

Neva though; was cute and pitiful, enough to make his stern self melt.

Noah enlightened them that his dad left for a meeting for some business deal and would come after half an hour.

The poor child had been left alone.

Neva covers her lips with three of her mid her fingers, attempting to stop her hysterical laugh. Only for her to snort and laugh a second later, at her own imagination caused by the boy's 'funny' story.

The twilight of the evening, the sun swirls away, almost about to set. The beautiful sky looking through the azure ocean.

In this moment, Rhett lay relaxed in peace. Nonetheless, he does not dare to let his guard down. He remains alert and observant of every scene enfolding on the cruise.

The laptop that he asked of Sky had played and hacked all of the security cameras.

He could see everything that goes on in the cruise. Except of course, behind of the cabins, since there were no cameras inside.

He stands up from the bed and courses towards the sofa.

He opens the laptop placed on the table, while Neva and Noah swims happily in their own world.

Sailing through the footages it seems everything is alright; for now...

He then continues to hack the marine radar.

His heart skips a beat.

What he sees on the screen is a ship interpreting a destroyer warship heading towards their cruise.

He's confident, it cannot be the Navy.

They are the enemy; hunting them down.

He then presses some more keys.

Surveying the underwater through the sonar, fortunately there were no obstacles around.

Neither, at the sky.

Just the ship moving rapidly.

With it's pace of 30kts in no time will the enemy reach them given the distance.

Rhett sighs deeply, he really hoped the voyage to go on safe.

He closes the laptop and stands upright.

More than two hundred is the estimated passengers boarding on each ships.

A popping sound is heard as he cracks the bones in his neck. His eyes reflects calmness yet he could feel the fear and anxiety crawling in his heart. He cannot be reckless or fearless now; for he has someone dear to protect now.

Yet, he still can't wrap his mind around to how did they know their location. Perhaps they should have disguised their appearance. Then again, it's still not possible to trace them that quick.

Was it that he missed anything else?

He glances at Neva conversing with the child. Unknown to the hovering menace.

His breathing quivers faintly for a second, though he gains back his firmness and a whit of determination burns his orbs.

His legs moves him to the suitcases specifically designed for weapons to not be detected on, it had powerfull guns he favoured.

The elite agents came prepared when they chose to stand by their leader and eventually was a great reinforce to Rhett.

It's here, 'The Rain Of Bullets'
