Nothing matters anymore because you are here

The freezing riverwater stabs their flesh, as Rhett helps Neva swim up to the shore. She cannot be compared to Rhett's swiftness in water. His firm muscles attended to let's him move rapidly, with just enough air in his lungs he breathed in minutes prior.

Getting as far as to the shore, the dark forest shunning them, Neva gasps deeply, striving to breathe in oxygen. She glances at Rhett beside her, their eyes connecting a string; he was extraordinarily stable.

Neva swallows, "Rhett are you hurt?"

He nods, "I'm fine, are you?" Rhett inquires, scanning her paled lips. She nods, "I am."

His brows creases, he embraces her,

"God, Neva." She wraps her arms around him, as relief washes over him.

Before long, some heads pops out the deep river, cracking their calmness. They could hear distant yells.

"Boss!! We can't find them!!"

"They escaped!!" Another one of the men announces.

"Dig deep and beyond! Hunt Them Down!!" Zev's roaring voice echoes within the region. Ishmael stiff, he stands still above the cliff.

Rhett swam two hundred metres in those quick, couple of minutes, leading Neva along. She could sense her heart hammering in her ears. Her head piercing with the pain of water being inhaled through her nose.

"We need to escape." He manages to stand her on the feet. They have to hurry, and somehow leave the place.

Running through the woods, the main street they passed previously meets them.

Rushing on their feet, the risks rising higher.

A roaring noise of an engine, their heart skips a beat.

A red Ferrari rumbles towards them. Neva squints, closing her eyes, by cause of the howling wind as the car passes by.

The supercar halts in a distance, and reverses, gliding in front of them.

Rhett frowns, his expressions murky.

Rhett grabs the dagger hidden, the firearm astray somewhere within the river. Neva slides in, shielding herself amidst Rhett's frame. The window rolls down.

His orbs glints faintly at the glimpse of the familiar faces.

"Boss we finally found you!!" Ace exclaims, wearing a bright expression, his voice blaring and excited.

Neva's eyebrows furrows, briefly scanning them. Rhett breathes a sigh of gladness.

Hunter unseals the door. Rhett steps towards the car, grabbing Neva's hand, he examines the seat.

He seats himself before her, "Come here," he says, gesturing on his lap. She blushes, climbing inside the back seat of the red car, settling in his lap.

"Good to see you Czar." Sky says, the corners of her lips lifted up. She has a laptop on her lap, the device she used to track down Rhett.

Hunter reverbs a booming sound out the engine, as he thunders away the supercar.

Rhett nods in response.

"We meet again Neva Mae." Sky smiles, holding out her hands. Neva awkwardly placed in Rhett's arm, responds Sky with a half-warm smile, shaking hands with her.

Rhett sees the heavy soaked jacket of his sticking, to Neva's skin. He helps her slide it away.

"Stop with the greetings, hand her a jacket or something." Rhett berates his fellow mates.

"Oh," Sky's mouth takes an 'o' shape, she removes her jacket.

"You don't have to." Neva waves away her hands.

"Mine's thicker wife of Boss, here." Ace hands her his thick jacket.

Neva's cheeks crimsons at his words as she glances at Rhett, his jaw hardens glaring at Ace.

"Wear it." He snatches the jacket from Ace and layers her with it.

If any other day, he would have never let a man's scent near her, nonetheless Neva is frozen and; Ace addressed Neva as his wife.

"Aren't you cold too?" Neva inquires, in response, Rhett nods his head.

"A bit. Ace give me your shirt."

"Huh?" The eyes of Ace's protrudes wide, he turns his head to sight Rhett's expression, to read if he's serious.

"Boss, I don't wish to be naked!" Sensing Czar's fierce appearance, he quickly hands him the extra hoodie of Hunter's, earning a side glance from the driver.

Sure, he wouldn't want Neva to see some other guy bare.

"Here," Ace hands him the grey hoodie.

Shifting Neva a little to have him some space, Rhett takes the wet clothes off of him, flaunting his mouth watering biceps and abs, he throws it to Ace, as Neva gulps, close to him, his warmth heating her up.

She then catches Sky shamelessly eyeing her fiance, she creases her forehead, pursing her lips at the sudden irkness.

Rhett has already received the hoodie and wore it, amongst the happenings inside of Neva's senses.

Neva glances at him at the touch of his cold hands in her own. His arms around her, he thrusts her body towards him, attaching them as one. Neva glances at him, earning a sweet delicate smile from him, she smiles at him, as she lay her head in his chest.

The rest of the three people in the car, flustered by their cold leader's actions, still finds it hard to believe their own eyes at his soft, romantic gestures.

"Why are you here?" Rhett asks.

"You should be grateful of Sky Boss. She informed us about your situation. We flew here the first we caught a flight." Ace explains, Rhett nods. "I appreciate it." He declares in a monotonous voice. Sky hums in response.

"Thank you Sky." Neva lifts her head up, gazing at her with eyes filled with gratitude. "It's fine." Sky smiles, as Neva smiles back.

Neva rests herself against Rhett, once more, tired, closing her eyes.

"They were more of Raka's backup coming for you. We passed by them approximately a kilometre away." Sky informs.

Rhett silently gazes at Neva, resting serenely, he feels a sharp pang in his heart. If they hadn't come, Neva would have probably went adrift from him.

He sucks in a breath, painful of the thoughts of 'What if's?'

Nevertheless, he is reassured and tranquiled. Nothing matters anymore, because his Angel is now and here with him.

He vows, he will not let it happen again.

Rhett embraces the slumbering Neva, a little more firmer, veiling his eyes, having her safe in his arms.
