His claim on me

Freshened up under the warm quilt the lovers lay on the bed. Neva fondles Rhett's hair in an attempt to soothe him to sleep and dry the rinsed locks. Bearing heavy eyelids, he slips into dreamland and slumbers nuzzling his face on her neck.

Neva gazes down at him, the mirroring countenance of Rhett and Ishmael bothering her.

She hesitated asking Rhett before, assuming he would wish to avoid Ishmael's conversation. Moreover he was weary and cold. They were deprived of rest she figured it was best to defer the discussion.

Ishmael's words and actions pesters her as she exhales exhausted. She kisses his fluffy hair and closes her eyes drifting off to sleep.

(The next morning)

"Angel wake up," Rhett whispers hoarsely near Neva's ears as she squirms under the covers. Rhett peppers kisses on her features as she whines.

"We need to leave." He cuddles her laying down still.

After a moment of quietness Neva opens her eyes, "Where do we go now?" Half asleep she queries snuggling him. The most they slept were merely three hours.

"We'll travel to where the breeze blows safer." Muffled he utters smooching her neck, Neva glances at him remorsed.

"He told me things I found inconceivable.'' Neva declares as Rhett meets her eyes. "Raka?" Rhett's eyes darkens his mouth bitter.

"Raka? His name was Ishmael." Neva murmurs scrunching her brows. "Raka is the name he uses underworld." He explains greedy to learn more about Ishmael.

"What did he want Angel? Did he touch you?" He prays nothing unfortunate did happen.

"He said he wants to be with me." Her words jabs piercing iron nails to his chest.

"He said what?" His grits his teeth, jaw clenching, as Neva gulps sensing him terrifying.

Events unfolded in the past where Neva observed Rhett being greatly possesive over her. Moments where he almost picked fights because of guys crushing on her.

"Rhett calm down." Neva meekly mumbles.

Rhett exhales placating his fury. "What else rubbish did he gagged out."

Neva bits her lower lips and exposes herself from the warmth of the quilt. Rising from the bed she trudges towards the window and unveils the curtain.

The snow ceased falling.

She peers at the hazy nature, violet and orange sky cracking dawn. She breathes out exhaling faint vapour. Coming out her trance she feels Rhett's arms wrap around her frame as he nestles on her neck.

"Miraakh Island." Neva utters as Rhett forrows his eyebrows. "What?"

Neva pauses, "he said we were from an Island named Miraakh and were always together, until I disappeared nine years ago." Neva concludes preparing herself for his response.

"And you believe him?" The veins in his eyes turns scarlet in anger. "I don't kno- Rhett!" Neva in terror widens her eyes tapping Rhett's hand.

"What's wrong?" Confused he follows her gaze.

Countless men in black outfits bearing weapons rushes out black SUV's heading towards their Inn.

"Fuck!" Rhett curses moving away sharply. "Rhett?" Neva glances at him petrified as Rhett paces towards the cabinet, he fishes out his firearms stuffing bullets in.

He takes his jacket from the sofa.

"We have to get away." He nears her and helps her wear the jacket.

He holds her hand, Neva stands rigid.

Rhett cups her face in an attempt to comfort her.

"Neva, I won't even let them graze you. We are gonna be fine." He senses Neva's breathing quiver.

He kisses her on the lips sprinkling reassurances through caresses that nothing could harm her. Rhett's palms on her cheeks she gazes at his warm orbs and nods her head a little.

Rhett peeks through the window examining Ishmael's thugs. He's certain of the men being Raka's. Neva flinches at the rumbling noise of the gun being fired. "Angel, it's alright. We have to move fast." He grabs her hands as the hurling footsteps approaches closer.

He swiftly climbs out the window helping Neva out. Fortunately the thugs outdoors didn't have eyes on the rear side of the Inn. Rhett catches sight of the motorbike positioned on the back of the parking lot. He hastens towards it seizing Neva along.

Without being seen they climb on the bike hurriedly wearing their helmets.

Woefully the grumbling noise of the bike catches the thugs attention. Ishmael inside one of the cars hunts the sound.

He sees a man on a motorbike speeding out the parking lot to the highway. Ishmael clenches his jaw as he insanely recognises the girl clung to the man.

"Follow them!!" Ishmael growls at his men, impaling Rhett with his glare as he accelerates away following a booming noise.
