I Still Love You

(Flashback...)

Six years ago...

"You must be Peter's girlfriend, Beatrice right?" Ella stretched out her arm and smiled. "I'm Ella, Peter's friend."

Beatrice shook her hand. "What can I do for you?"

"I heard that your father didn't have enough money to buy Xi Corporation's stocks."

"So? Who are you to—"

"My father owns that company." Ella crossed her legs. "Your father's willing to give up everything to buy Xi Corporation's shares."

"What are you trying to say?" Beatrice folded her arms.

"Leave Peter and I'll transfer thirty percent of my shares to your father."

"I won't do that! It is my father that wants it and not me!"

"Well he's already signed the contract." Ella handed her a piece of paper that contained her father's signature. "If you don't do it, your father will have to pay me thrice the amount of shares I bought from Xi Corporation."

Beatrice scanned the contract. "No! I never agreed to this! I won't leave Peter for this! You tricked my father into signing it!"

"Oh really? Ask your father about it then. I just gave him an offer."

"Why are you doing this? Just because your jealous? You don't even have any feelings for Peter!"

"No particular reason. I want him to love only me."

"Your making him your back up." Beatrice slapped her face. "What do you think of him? He has feelings too!"

"I don't give a damn about that." Ella touched her burning red cheek.

"I never knew you were such a vile woman... You lied all this time."

"Put the blame on your pathetic father. Seems like he's losing his sanity because of our company's stocks."

"Don't call him that!"

"You're still on his side after everything he has done? Let me give you something more exciting then." Ella gave her a wicked grin, grabbing a knife and pointing it towards her neck. "How about killing your mother?"

Beatrice slammed the table. "My mother has nothing to do with this! I can call—"

"You won't get out of this place alive if you call them."

"Leave us alone! What have we done to make you treat us this way?" Beatrice slammed the tea cup onto the floor as she tried to hold back her tears. "We owe you and your family nothing!"

"I'll give you a minute to decide. If you don't give me a response, I'll order my someone to kill your—"

"I-I'll do it. You want me to leave Peter right? I'll tell him tomorrow."

"What will you say if he asks why?"

"I'll tell him that I like someone else? Happy?" Tears started falling from Beatrice's eyes.

"One more thing." Ella abruptly grabbed her neck. "Don't ever show up in front of him again."

"Yo-You can't do this to—"

"You know what'll happen if you refuse to follow me."

(Present time)

"How do you even remember that?" Ella laughed, patting Nicholas' back. "I was such a fool back then that I'd just do whatever I wanted."

Nicholas took a few steps back. "I accepted you back then because I thought you've changed, but seeing you laugh at what you did in the past makes me wanna hurt you even more. You're culpable for for killing Beatrice."

"I have no idea what you're talking about."

"Don't act like your the victim. I can report it to the police any time."

"Go and do it then. As if anyone would believe you. You don't have any evidence."

"I'm the only one that knows about it. If Peter—"

"You knew from the beginning that I was willing to give up everything for you." Ella lifted his chin. "Just because I still love you doesn't mean that I'll do everything you ask me to do."

Nicholas pushed her away. "I'm not expecting anything from an obnoxious woman. You better atone for your past mistakes before everything's too late."

"Shouldn't I be the one warning you?" Ella smiled, caressing his cheeks. "Be careful with Adeline. You better watch her with a vigilant eye. She's not who you think she is."

"Don't tell me what to do."

"It's your choice. Don't blame me for not warning you in the future."
