34 Selection
As Argon continued to report about the Auction houses, Arthur came into a decision that his suspicions about them is a false alarm but it never hurts to check.
For the next few days, he trained his brothers and cousins just like he promised. He went out of his way to brew more potions for them and only demanded few more portions of herb supply.
All of the participants of the training level up so fast that it seems like a dream. Arthur would even arranged practice matches against them a few more times. Although the result would lead to Alyssa team's defeat, it is not as overwhelming as the first one.
After one month of training, the Range already need to go home because of the selection of the representatives for their city as well. Alyssa and the others were thankful and promised to be chosen to fight their cousins once more on a real stage.
One week before the selection of the participants, the rules were already delivered to all concerned parties and posted to all city boards.
The rules and information for the selection are:
1)The city will only select five main members and two substitutes. The selection will be held on the city arena. Only the participants are allowed to go in and the others will have to wait outside. The result of the selection will be posted and announced on the same day.
2) The participants must be fifteen years of age and below. He must be a citizen of the city or had been staying within the city for at least four years. The offspring or descendants of a citizen outside the city can also participate as long as the participant will contribute his best once he or she is selected during the competition.
3) All the aspiring participants must register one day before the selection at the entrance of the arena. Further instructions are to be relayed personally at the day of selection.

What is the most important thing for a hybrid? Anyone else will probably answer that the skill seed is of the highest importance. Arthur, however, will choose to rank the foundation of the body before even getting into the topic of skill seeds.
That is why, during the time that Argon is selecting the skill seeds for them, Arthur prepared some heavy enhancement potions and would bring them to train with his brothers.
"Fine, we will start with the linking process after the selection. This kind of delay is still acceptable, after all."(Arthur)

"Okay, thank you Lisa. You can go now".
Lisa gave a slight bow before going away. Ever since she came here, Arthur never treated her as a typical slave but more like a secretary in charge of his daily appointments.

The day of the selection was a little bit of a bust. Only thirty kids assembled at the front of the arena waiting for the event to start. Almost all of these were from the noble families and families who had relative funds to support a hybrid.
Exactly at eight in the morning, Chairman Otto arrived with some of the city officials. After seeing the crowd, Chairman Otto felt sad that there were fewer kids present than the previous selection. Who could blame them?
"Alright, Goodmorning everyone. Before we go in, let me explain how we are going to select the participants. We are very lucky to invite General Koral from the Flordelain Kingdom. Shee will be the one to assess all of you. It is her hoice whatever method she wants to use but be rest assured that everthing will be judged fairly. He is a bit late but she sent someone ahead to assure us that she would certainly come. For the meantime, please wait inside and feel free to know the others."
Arthur watched the expression of the old men and felt that something is definitely fishy. Well, he gave a smile and gestured to his brothers to lead the way.
Just as he was about to enter, the Hunter skill which is always turned on, picked up a presence on the opposite side of the entrance. He stopped for a while and stared at the direction of the person hiding her presence.
"Dylan, Skye go scout." Without wasting another second, the twins spread out their power radar to the limit which was the order given by their brother. They always practice this kind of situations where Arthur will use codenames.
Finally, they also realize the presence of the person hiding in the distance. Out of reflex, they activated their skill seeds, ready for anything that would come their way.
